I guess you're failing to understand this: "friends" as you call them are not people who are programmed to send you a set because you haven't made one yourself.
And I'll tell you more - http://www.setupgrid.net/ - now you don't need to live off of anyone to give you a set for the race.
Please edit your post with a number of your choice out of the available numbers on post 87. We are not entitled to choose numbers for anyone, I'm afraid.
As of this post, the official confirmation deadline is now over, and drivers who confirm after this post will start Race 1 tomorrow with a 5-place grid penalty.
This thread will be closed at 17:30 UTC of October 13 upon the start of Qualifying and no more entries will be accepted.
then use slickmod ONLY when you join the Live For Slicks server. and don't use normal LFS to join the Live For Slicks server... */unban HeikkiTuom*
Since many people seem to be having this - entering the Live For Slicks server with the normal LFS.exe will get you an automatic CPW ban. There's nothing we can do to stop that (apart from lifting the ban), that's the Cheat Protection system doing its part.
Use ONLY the Slickmod to join our L4Slicks server. The password will remain i<3slicks until we change it for tomorrow's race.
Bad news as well. Due to basketball commitments I won't be able to admin for Round 1.
However I will keep monitoring confirms, signups, skins and possibly PM's before raceday. Substitute admin to be announced soon, so the Kings bros can stay under control.
You've just answered your own question...and that's what the test race was for. Don't be thinking that we're starting the season without any notion of the tyres' behaviour (even though the extra grip making the cars easier to roll is out of our control)
Now that we are less than a week ahead of Round 1, here's another reminder of the status of all signups so far, for those who haven't yet changed their signup forms, as displayed in the spreadsheet.
Time to remind you once again that if you have changed teams, please make a new post quoting your signup and denoting said change, otherwise the points that you score will count for the team you have signed up with, even if you have officially left said team (hello, TRR/Ixion members!!).
We have an amazing total of 63 drivers who have signed up, but 3 forms are still invalid.
#04 Filips "sjava" Purvins and #08 Petr "klouchzech" Dolezal still have to choose a car;
Timur "leha" Alisultanov still has to choose a number.
As a result of a recent numbers' rule, the #01 will only be reserved for the series' champion and with that adressed, we have to ask Timur Alisultanov to choose another number. My apologies for coming up with this after the test race, but we are now finishing the rulebook with the minor rules before the start of the season.
The following double-digit numbers (from 02-99) are still available: 11, 15, 28, 30, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 41, 43, 48, 49, 50, 59, 63, 64, 65, 67, 70, 73, 74, 75, 76, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 84, 85, 89, 91, and 92.

Reason : #86 and #18 taken.
I checked said wording, and it still sounds confusing...we might as well just go with what I said in bold in my previous post here, which leaves the tyre rules as clear as they can be.
Sorry if this ends up coming across as rude (because that's not the intention), but we have really stressed the crap out of this during after the test race. R1-R4 tyres allowed for Qualifying, R1 tyres are banned from the Race(s).
The obvious reason R1 tyres got banned was because they couldn't last a race distance.
So I'll recap this again: Qualifying - R1, R2, R3 and R4 compounds allowed.
Race(s) - R2, R3 and R4 compounds allowed.
This is as clear as it gets, and I'll ask Matt to copy this to the rulebook because the tyre info there does still sound a bit confusing.
By the way, thanks for saving me some work by creating this thread, Dennis
I had my fun this season, but it turned out to go far too long than I wanted - it was only supposed to be a one race-affair with the BUS at Fern Bay, and after that went pretty well, we decided to do Westhill, where I timed out with 1m30s to go after bringing the car from 20somethingth to 14th (thanks to ZON Net...the bastards), and South City where Matt stupidly parked it for 5 laps.
But I had fun in a time where I was getting more and more sick of racing GT's. The admins did a great job all season, the broadcasters reached a new level of professionalism with PMDtv and Fuse, CSF and Wilko (and to a lesser extent, Boothy j/k); and I was very proud to be part of the admin team for the final round. Hope to see you guys back with the next series and even better than you were this season!
Intentional...but somehow out of desperation, knowing that was the last race and the drivers' championship was at stake. But still, it would be really unfair if Winkelhock and company get away with what they did.
Oh and also, just throwing this out here because of recent news such as -TRR- members leaving the team collectively, the fall of MTDZX and the creation of Ixion Simsports, among many other major lineup changes: If you have changed team, please make that change official here in your signup form before the start of the season, otherwise we will award points for whichever team you're listed as part of.
