Quote from zeugnimod :Alonso stays at Renault.

Piquet, too.

From article: "This gives the ING Renault F1 Team one of the most exciting driver pairings with the perfect blend of youth and experience,"

I'm not sure, perfect blend of crashing and winning maybe?

Quote from BlueFlame :So, if a guy farts it's nothing, if a girl does it it's unclassy. Therefore the word is used more on women than men, therefore it IS sex specific. Just like beautiful, you can't call a man beautiful, you call him handsome, beautiful WORKS but in reality, it's not the correct word.

But its not gender specific on a grammatical basis, and what do you mean you can't call a man beautiful? You can call him whatever you like, just don't call him blonde (blond is the masculine grammatical gender )

I think you're just explaining the social acceptance of certain words, but it doesn't mean you can never call a man classy, so its not gender specific.

Some other thoughts I have: I really hope RBR can do justice to Vettel, he def. deserves to be challenging the title next season.

Hopefully with the level(ish) chance for more teams to be equal next year, I hope to see Massa, Kimi, Lewis, Alonso, Kubica and Vettel all fighting for the championship

Quote from Töki (HUN) :Check the live timing, the last lap still can be seen there. Trulli was also on dry tyres, and was much faster than Glock... So forget this dry tyres tale.

^ How about we stop speculating until we know the truth? (Well we do, as in a previous article Glock explained why he was so slow).

Most exciting finish I could have hoped for, brilliant. Its a shame though its only after reading the forums had the possibility of Timo letting the position go even entered my mind. Why does there always have to be rumours to make drivers look bad? Hamilton and others were sliding a lot on the last lap and had inters on, so its obviously going to be MUCH worse for Timo.

I loved DC's helmet cam, it would be awesome to see the start using that view

Heikki can do one thing at the start tomorrow, block Alonso!

Quote from Please Hire me BBC! :I was always pretty confident that when Murray decided to retire I would get the gig, but never anything less than utterly self-critical and seeking to improve with every race and every year, which I think I’ve done.

Nah, not really.

I really want Lewis to win because I just don't think Massa deserves it. From the moment he was signed to Ferrari I just couldn't see what was special about him. He has had a long time to learn how to race in close quarters, but he keeps messing up, and even worse, blames other drivers for his mistakes (the Bourdais incident for example).

At least Lewis knows exactly how he is driving, that he is taking risks and sometimes takes the damage, but he is now starting to realise his mistakes and I think he can only get better as he gets more mature (I hope ).

Kubica is amazing too. I can't tell how he and Lewis compare raw speed wise, but he is super consistent.

Considering those cars have been produced in extremely limited supply and cost much more than the traditional equivalent (I haven't even heard of an electrical Ariel Atom), I doubt anyone would race them.

Especially as the whole point of them is to promote the 'Green' image, which racing clearly is the opposite of.

Quote from Intrepid :http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new ... ians-insulting-Queen.html

ffs! I think we need a plan of action to stop these complete werido's from wrecking everything on TV and Radio.

"Hay I know, lets take something that isn't supposed to be taken seriously, and take it seriously!" :banghead:

It's ridiculous. I can't count how many times comedians have made jokes of the Queen before now. Its just madness.

Yep there are 2 things iRacing can do to get a load more signups. One is a demo, and the other is to alow a non credit card method of payment.

Even a timed demo, say 1 hours free use of iRacing, then you have to buy a subscription to continue racing.

Probably should have got a years subscription then!

Quote from Intrepid :I do feel they can improve their model however. Not even allowing someone to demo a car before buying seems a tragic floor. I would be tempted to pay out of a couple extra cars if I could try them first. As it is I won't risk it.

I can suggest one: the Radical. I have had loads of fun in it even if it is just on my own (not included in an online series yet) Its a real blast if the slower tin tops are not your thing. And there is a '79 Lotus F1 car in the works, you know you will want that!!

EDIT: ^ Yeah for sure Intrepid I can see how someone would do that, but that's defiantly not for me atm. If I get a decent job at the end of Uni I'll buy a Caterham and take it on some track days for sure, but I'm not willing to let racing dictate my future.

Quote from Alistair :depending on your age and if you can persuade yourb parents you can buy a car for £700 ready to race go to the site i gave in the firstv post and have 3 races a meating for £5 a time

Ah I was doing a few real races here and there a few years ago, but now I'm at University. So I'm too old, to much in debt and too busy (yeah right I hear you say )

Nah but iRacing really fits me almost perfectly for my situation. My pickyness for realism and the fact I can just grab the wheel and have a bit of fun whenever I feel like it.

Well for starters Race 07 and GTR Evolution can barley be called realistic.

Not everyone has the time for (or even the means of getting to) a track facility, and the level of data iRacing uses means that it is the closest virtual thing. People have been spending hundreds if not thousands on wheels, cockpits, pedals and such to try and get the best sim racing experience for years, so when a sim comes out with an unparalleled level of realism and investment, lots of people won't mind coughing up the yearly $156 for it.

But if you can spend less and enjoy some real life racing, then that's fortunate for you.

EDIT: My nearest kart rental is over an hour away, it costs nearly £1 a minute, I don't have a car and unless I go with another 10 or so people, its not actually a race.

Radical is only a small car company that won't have huge resources like an F1 team with wind tunnels to retrieve data from, so they are limited as to how accurate the downforce data is that they pass onto iRacing.

OK so I go to game, buy the latest PC game or whatever for £30 and it doesn't work, but because I opened it tough luck getting my money back. Its expected that at least one game you buy might not work on a particular pc (several in my case).

So you have just downloaded a game for £10 as a month's trial (that you would get many more hours out of compared to most modern games) and haven't even exhausted any troubleshooting options and you are claiming its some kind of extraordinary bad business practice?!

Since when do software companies have the time or recources to test their games on the thousands of hardware configs out there? Complain to Microsoft if anything, definitely not iRacings problem in the slightest.
