For me, that sounds a really bad idea. You're asking that some sign should be popping up, saying "Next turn: 80 km/h, gear 2."? That's not really racing-simyish...
Part of being a good driver is knowing the tracks like your pockets, every curb, every bump of it. It would spoil half of my driving experience if I wouldn't have to memorize (that even a word?) all the time that what's coming after the next corner.

No for this suggestions from me.

But isn't UFR faster in corners, especially in slow ones?
But I agree, a few hp's more for UFR would make a lot more better races between these cars.

I think we'll see layouts after S2 is final. I think this (at least I really hope so) is because there is still coming configurations that weren't ready when Alpha was released. Like Westhill National...

I had a wacky idea of how to get LFS more reviewed in major magazines and gaming-sites: make LFS free for reviewers, say, for a month. Many of the finnish places I've asked to review LFS, they've answered that they are mostly reviewing games they get from importers - for free, cheap bastards. Of course, there should be someone to check that a person who's asking for a free license is really going to review it in to some big media.

Unzip and put the file in LFS/data/layout.
Then, when you're in game (make sure the track is Blackwood GP 1). There, press Shift+U. There you should find a button "load track" or something similar.
But, seeing you're a demo racer, you can't have layouts if i remember correct.

A layout for BL1 I've made a while ago. I'm having fun in it, so I thought that I could post it, since the file-size is so small.
3 jumps in different parts of the track, most fun with UFR being light and powerful.

So, I'm asking that can I make the buttons in back of the wheel (shifters in formulas) and the stick be basically the same button? Nowadays, every time I change from FOs to road cars and GTR, I must change the buttons for upshifts and downshifts. Not a big deal, can be done easily in settings.
But by time, that starts to annoy, especially if you drive many different kinds of cars in one night. In most of the FPSs I've played this kind of things is solved by having primary and secondary buttons for different things. LFS doesn't have this (of if there is, please tell me), so I was wondering if I could make those 2 things be as one.

So, to simplify, can I have R1 and stick down be upshift and L1 and stick up be downshift at the same time in LFS?

The title says it. Normally there would be a separate thread just for one person, so why won't we have all of the B-day congrats in one thread? We have this kind of thread in RSC's GeneRally-section, and in my opinion it works great. You can always see the b-day boys in the bottom of the main site.
