Simple I guess?..The amount of people who used to play were also way more dedicated to the league scene. Nowadays the amount of players on LFS is low compared to how it used to be.
These sort of games are not really dying out, I just think honestly the appeal for this game compared to what is out there is just not really present. Only us the old players understand how cool LFS is, but for most newcomers they gonna look at this game as some sort of lego game.

Skins back in 2010ish were the bomb. Now it's ok, there isn't that much talent left as there used to be.

RIP Fordman. He was such a genuine guy. One of the most friendly racers I met when I first joined the LFS community.
sometimes to be the best and the fastest you gotta use ridiculous settings / scenarios.
e.g. back in the golden LFS days a lot of top tier drifters used ~ 270 degrees of rotation to just make sure they can switch in tandems hella quick. It took some time to adjust but clearly it worked for them and for most their skills werent achievable.
Same goes for racing. It is definitely more fun and realistic to use certain settings, but hell sometimes if you wanna be quicker, lower degrees of rotation, smaller FOV etc, all those little things add up with time.

This definitely feels refreshing as well as a glimpse into the future of how LFS will look. It does feel special to see change happen to a game that has been very dear since I got introduced to it back in 2007 when I was just 11
