I apologize in advance for what I'm going to mention below, but I simply cannot stand people like you who seem to know ''EVERYTHING''. Clearly, if you posted this on the good old lfsdrift.net / torque, you would receive the same criticism...-yes, it might seem harsh, just because you don't have the information that most of the drift community users had. There's a clean line where you can consider something as a design and something that's more or less.. a trend invented by some... guy from Kentucky.
It's more than obvious that something has gone completely wrong with the ''drift community'', which is in fact, dead and gone since 2011. Compared to what the skins were in 2007, your skin is pretty much degradation. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't bother posting it on lfsdrift.net if it was still up... It's not because more people would ''hate'' you, but because they would express their objective criticism towards your work. Just to let you know, I'm also a member of team D-MaX SunRise [I suggest switching the timer to 3:10, about to get crazy!] and a previous owner of Team Nopi Drift - both of them have been involved in the early development of the LFS drift community and both put a lot of effort to expand the community..sadly, it died out, you probably know the obvious reason for that!
Sorry, but I can't see you and your team being even anywhere serious about this. I guess we just have to deal with the new kids these days in the ''drift community'' who clearly know ''everything''!.
Regards from lfsdrift.net and lfs-torque.
On a nostalgic note, here's a video made by D-MaX.Hades, most of the old teams are involved in that video. Enjoy
Not sure if it's that necessary to make a skin promo for a skin that more or less has been made using trybals from google image finder along with randomly chosen stickers (their placement has no flow with the drawing itself)...aaand those green rims make everything look even worse...sorry, but might as well as just use a sticker bomb that's fit all over your car - it will look better. That color combination is just..ergh, not my kind of a thing.
Keep up the great work, Scawen. I know that sometimes it might be difficult to please this audience, but please, keep working in the way that you have always done! You along with your team have proven to us that you guys surely can't disappoint when you release something completely fresh to this game. So please, don't give up and keep it going! I still truly believe that LFS is the greatest racing simulator of all time, but you just need to improve it once again like you used to before..I know you can!
Hello, Dom! I as your teammate would like to say thank you for all the work you have done - it is beyond amazing what you have done and how much effort it requires to do those things! Big props to you for that.
I feel honored to be in the list, but personally, I do not think I deserve the honor to be in it. I feel like you deserve way more than just a thanks from me - my attitude was not the best regarding GenR league participation! I know I could have put more effort and dedicate myself more to participate in GenR races, but I simply couldn't pull myself together to do that..but I promise that I will make sure to participate when the right time comes! Because you truly deserve more than just a thanks
I had fun making these screenshots, even though I only participated only in one round. I hope you guys had a blast. Some screenshots are available in higher resolution below (if you click them). I tried something new in Photoshop, hope you like it!
Why would anyone think that it's acceptable for Isaac to say something like that? Just because you are on the internet doesn't mean you can say anything you want and not feel guilty about it...I would like to see Isaac say that in real life in front of a crowd that he's not familiar with. There's no reason to have such behavior, it's immature.
She won't get anywhere near an F1 drive. She surely doesn't have a super license for one, before you even get to the fact the amount of money quoted is toilet paper for what Caterham would need for it to be worth running her. Then there's the problem that they aren't even looking likely to be on the grid for Abu Dhabi. Oh and that she's nowhere near good enough, probably not fit enough to drive an F1 car even in the state they are now.
And this is what racing has become..all about money. So freaking sad.
EDIT : REMOVED by Scawen - original misogynistic post now deleted
Even if Dom decided to run these series, I personally think that there's not a big chance to actually enjoy running / organizing / hosting these sort of series. In the current state of LFS, not that many people are that enthusiastic about any sort of events. Sure, there are still some people who are rather enthusiastic about hosting / running / competing in events (e.g. Rony, I personally think that Rony is a rather dedicated racer ), but still, it's not something that you could...enjoy? The golden years are somewhat done.. for now. People surely want something fresh and Dom clearly has come up with something rather refreshing, but LFS [content wise] simply doesn't offer that anymore, sadly
But hey, let's just hope the future holds something bright for us.
I truly think that this is the time when most of us should take a rest from LFS. It was a great run, but we really just have to take a step back for now. Let's just hope that the future holds something bright for us...during this time, we can just sit back and perhaps enjoy something else...that should help us get the motivation back that most of us were lacking, including me.
Everything will eventually get better, we just have to be patient.
