In 2009 there was a guy in our series who rolled it twice at two consecutive meetings with the same shell but managed to get back out for the second race of the day both times. After the second roll he had to take the windscreen out and race, in the rain, with no windscreen. Not ideal but he managed it!
I was infront of that car that rolled at crash #5 at the time and remember watching it in my mirror, just seeing gravel everywhere and the roof of a car. He's come back with a Sheriff paint job this year though.
Gotta say I think this looks brilliant. One thing, in the original video when he scanned the patterned side of the skateboard, how did it know what pattern was beneath his hands?
Love it, if only you'd posted a few hours earlier I would have been able to suggest it.
In the end we went with 'Hardly Athletic'. Not my pick of the crop, I liked Inter Yanan, Sporting Lesbian or someone else's suggestion of Lock, Stock and 5 Stupid Cocks, but hey ho.
Feel free to suggest some more if you come up with them.
Had another smattering overnight, about 2-3 inches. Got a pyhsics exam this morning which I'll be fine getting in for but would have thought that quite a few people will struggle to make it in.
Some more good ones! It's quite a lighthearted league but I don't thing they'd accept Minge Munchers, Bushy Beavers, C***thorpe United or Beef Twat and Pubes (??). Appreciate the effort though
A bunch of mates and myself are starting up a 5-aside team to play in a local Wednesday league. Thing is we need to give our team a name, and as it's quite a light-hearted league we need a witty / funny / clever name for our team but are struggling to think of one.
Any suggestions would be great, although don't just rip them off Google as we've already done that and haven't found many good ones.
Bit of material for you comics to work with - we go to a college that everyone calls Gabbot, live in a place called Burpham / Merrow, will be playing on astroturf at a place called Broadwater.
Go!
PS: We have to submit the team / team name tomorrow, so get thinking sharpish!
Slowly melting here although our local roads still have a snowy / icy covering which is jolly good fun.
Can anyone find me the link to that black E36 Beemer in somewhere like Poland on ice tyres absolutely flying in the snow? I can't for the life of me find it.
I think this too sometimes, it would be nice to just lose all the Airio and InSim stuff and just use what the devs have given us. Race to win the race, not to go up and rank and lose a restriction or get a new car or whatever. That's what leagues are for. For me, online racing is all about pick-up racing - I see something I fancy, join the host and just race that combo as many times as I want until I get too sweaty to grip the wheel any more.
I agree with Mysho above - the R2R servers are great for this. Yes you can go up ranks but they don't give you anything other than a different 'title' - Mega/Pico Roller etc. There it's all about enjoying each race and that's where I've had the most fun on LFS this year.
The idea was that you download user created cars and tracks. You could find hundreds of cars and loads and loads of tracks. But finding a good car to drive was a tough task.
Only really have one main one, which is to sort myself out with a 1 or 2 year paid apprenticeship in engineering / motorsport, to start when I finish my A Levels.
Also to go down the gym more than 3 times a week every week, no excuses.
