oh it's been so long I've posted here. Watched few films, been to cinema to Elysium which was actually waste of money...but what I enjoyed was:

Oblivion http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1483013/

To Kill a Mockingbird http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056592/

This Is The End http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1245492/

All three recommended. Don't waste time on stuff like Pacific Rim or World War Z, unless you're 14 or seen 20 films in your life, you won't find anything special except killing some time.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :I tested and really enjoyed the NX300. The lens selection is small but rapidly improving. Their 30mm f/2 and 45mm f/1.8 primes are very good, and the (ridiculously huge) 85/1.4 is one of the best I've encountered. Their zooms are pretty sub-par, though, and the wide-angle situation isn't good beyond the fisheye prime.

I was so happy about NX200 that I seriously considered it as RX100 alternative but when I found out the only lens I would actually use - 16mm pancake (others physically too big / not wide enough) is extremely useless, I guess I stay with RX100. Thanks tho!

Quote from Billeh :30D user here

My friend has just bought a NX1000 with 16mm F2.4 and 20-50mm lenses only had a little play about with it and really enjoyed using it .

Here's a review I showed my friend before he bought it he found it useful hope it helps

http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/samsung_nx1000_review

thanks, i will take a look at it. i was playing with friend's NX200 and read all reviews possible, looked very very good for very good price. however i was very dissapointed to find out raw photos take over 40MB and the only lens i would use is 16mm f2,4 which makes very bad photos and i couldnt find any alternative for NX mount.

Thank you very much for the reply! It really has been long since I was looking at the camera market (especially this segment) so I'm a bit disorientated.

Ricoh GR looks very very good, however it's much more expensive than RX100. Same goes for the rest

Samsung NX1000 looks interesting but I can't find any decent review or video about it so I keep looking, looks like a good camera.

Thanks again!

Hey guys,

not sure if anyone would be able to help but I need some advice...
I tried many times but this time I really want to get rid of my Canon 30D. It still produces amazing photos but as I travell and hike quiet a lot, the weight, size (and age) started to bother me and I decided to go to compact segment. The only property I think I might miss is DOF control, but as I usually shoot scenery/nature photos, I try to convince myself I won't miss it as much. Anyway, there are many reasons why I decided to leave DSLR not worth mentioning.

I was looking for these more "high-end" compacts as I don't want to loose the good image quality, sharpness and low noise. I found myself some good candidates:
Sony DSC RX100 (was also looking at mark 2, but not worth extra 200€)
Canon G1X, Canon G16
and Fujifilm X20.

The clear winner so far is Sony RX100, the images it produces are just amazing for a compact camera; but it's also the most expensive of those. What I expect from my new camera is definitely RAW support, low aperture, I don't need zoom - wide angles are better for me, good low-light performance (low noise, high ISO) and sharp, noise-free images. I'm fine with even 10Mpix, smaller displays, etc.

So I'm fully into the RX100, but I'm still wondering if there's anything I missed, or didn't notice on other cameras / or didn't even consider another camera? I tried to look at all the cameras available but I can't find match for Sony in terms of image quality, but I question myself if it isn't too much for (extremly good) compact camera. So maybe there's cheaper alternative I don't know about / or the other cameras aren't that bad?

Thanks for any reply

well I would try this, but I have no idea if it would work: allow TCP ports 137,138,139,445 to your PC (so they're accessible from outside). On a remote pc, try to open \\your_ip\dir or mount remote hard drive \\your_ip\dir

I don't really understand what is the problem. You don't have public IP address? I guess all you need is to set up an FTP server. Or you don't want FTP and you want SMB?

I knew this thread will appear in here. But it's absolutely pointless to discuss anything. Everyone knew this was happening all the time and no one cared, now when it's public, still no one cares. Poeple are too lazy to care about their privacy and also 'why care when you have nothing to hide?' - this is actually partially true.

Spying on citizens has absolutely nothing to do with terrorism, etc. If you know a bit more about the Internet, you also know criminality doesn't happen on Skype, or Facebook, or Gmail, or LFSForum...some people like to call it the 'dark side of the Internet', which are basically websites you never heard of, accessible usually only by TOR client. It's obvious they're trying to make a profile about ordinary people like us. For prevention? Maybe.

If you actually have nothing to hide you shouldn't also mind. One thing is that it's not very comfortable to know that someone follows each your step on the Internet, looks your Google searches, reads your Skype messages... But also if you're really not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about because...what can they do with information you searched 'gay buttplug' last night? Chances that someone will actually read your profile is almost nothing.

People don't care about their privacy at all. DDG increases its daily visitor count from 30 mil to 90 mil I think (lazy to find source), which is absolutely nothing compared to any other search engine. The thing is - when you're used to something for years, you won't do something else. I also tried to use DDG but the search engine itself is just shit. That's why I won't use it, until it improves and I'm still using Google, but I never sign in.
You also won't stop using Skype or Facebook so easily if all your friends are using it. I'd love to switch to secure alternative like Jabber but what's the point when I have no friends over there?
Millions of people also don't mind using Chrome, majority don't eve know all their data are sent to Google, minority probably don't mind. But why they don't mind if they can use browser like Iron which is Chrome spy-free, I have absolutely no idea. And people don't even bother to use Ghostery while browsing.

TL;DR: people don't care about their privacy online even when they know they're watched all the time.
