Quote from pacesetter :Obviously not perfect, shot by wilko868, and edit by me.. still learning :P

Pro tip: Use radial blur on wheels, not smudge

My newest. I was going to make a air intake on the head light, but I'm not that good with creating things from scratch. So it's just carbon now..

More replicas.. MadMike's rx7. Since I love the camo design, and lately have learned to control the GTRs to some extent, I thought I'd give it a shot.

But what did you mean by this? What does it have to do with me or my edit? Sorry, didn't quite get what was your point.

Just that if you hadn't posted your edit, there wouldn't have been any edits this week, making this week purposeless (there's 2 days still left, but anyway).

FINAL ENTRY!

And I was just thinking that 2+ weeks was way too much for one competition.. The curb area on the left looks a bit artificial, but that's minor. I really like the edit!

"Clear sky"

More information on RP's blog. (My signature).

I like this way better than the sky on the picture with the RAC. Especially the sun, since the beams aren't so gigantic.
And again, the overcast sky looks super!

Thanks guys! Yeah, while the desert pic was 1280px wide, it needed some streching after the rotation, but I figured some blur would fix enough of the problem. Higher-res would've been nicer, but this image was the closest to what I wanted. Sand dunes, hi-res or not, would've looked pretty silly

Quote from dutchshogun :Open up a picture in Photoshop, go to:
Image => Adjustments => Color Balance

And you might wanna change the Brightness/Contrast also. Image => Adjustments => Brightness/Contrast

All you need

Color balance seems pretty good.. For brightness/contrast I've usually used levels.

How's this? I wish we had a desert(-ish) track on LFS

Quote from dutchshogun :Nice angle indeed I helped you out with the colors a bit, if you don't mind

Not at all. You're right, that looks better. I'll try to experiment more, it's just that there's so much tools and I don't fully understand most of them. Well, I'll do some research..

Hmm, now that I look at it again, I think it's still too blueish. Ahh well

Let's just call it a cool spring day

Quote from andRo. :The angle and the motion and radial blur parts are very nice. If you had played with some colors, it would have been a very nice screen. I really like the angle.

Thanks! Yea, the colors bothered me a bit, but I'm really no good with them. I did some saturation adjusting, and clicked some of the auto settings, but really, I don't know much about making good colors..

Something from me. Been trying to tame the GTRs.. I'm really slow, but at least I don't spin in every corner anymore

@macsy - that looks cool, but I think the car is "bloomed" too much.

Hmm... Well maybe a tad.

Quote from keskitalo :Some kind of monster "drift" style skin

What do you think? :biggrinfl

I do like the overall design and look, just in some places the logo placement is bit weird. Also, there are some rough edges on the logos (not too bad), and it seems that you haven't squeezed the logos. Take a look at this. Keep skinning!

Thanks a bunch!
Here's some photos, and here's a vid. Those are actually the only references I could find. As you can see, some stuff was left out, some changed.

@JazzOn: The flakes were done with a custom brush and help from your strech guide. Wouldn't have managed without those.. And about the dirt, I first though about asking Schuppor for his kit, but then I figured "what the hell, I'll try to make my own." I know it's far from perfect, the blending was done mostly with a soft eraser, and all the mistakes show on a white background..

@5tag: Nah, can't take credit from those clearances, it was squale's kit. But I probably would have done it if it wasn't for the said kit.

Some time ago I was asked if I'd like to join Life4Pixel. Naturally I was interested, and here's my first skin for the group. It's a near replica of a Pikes Peak Porsche.

Thank you very much, fellas!
@Hahmo: The reflection is actually pretty easy to make, just use the LFSviewer to do a rough 'reflection', paste it into photoshop, flip it vertically and erase any unnecessary parts. Lower the opacity, add a gradient mask and maybe a distort filter. The water effect on the tarmac is custom brushes.

@andRo: I actually desaturated the image a bit, as rain tends to do that and I like the look, but yes, I might play around with the levels a bit more.

If you took that screenshot, then you should be able to find the skin from your skins_x folder.
