Quote from pärtan :

That said I don't understand why you would make a demo account if you already have a licensed account, unless it's intended for griefing servers.

or unless it's intended to troll & create confusion on Forum.

Very beautiful! I like the track selection and the car setup screen. I dislike the car selection screen, since it displays only one car at a time.

Quote from driftbrk :
nowadays most servers are s3

I think this is misleading comment. Any S2 lic holder can join the server, if S1/S2 track is loaded on the server. Not many servers are running Rockingham...

Quote from storckjunior : Now, i just bought the S2 licese and i am very disapointed with the number of servers Frown seems like i lost the train.

Most activity moved into leagues. Did you check LSAV league already?

Quote from Whiskey :I'd rather play with LFS' current/new color palette than playing Schindler's List.

LMAO

Quote from Big Daddy :
So here a new try:
The red of the car is still the same.

#3 also my favorite. I like really much the colors of current LFS. Those colors make me feel happy always. Unlike the colors in Assetto Corsa, they always give a bit dark and creepy feeling - me not like.

Interesting wish. As long as fantasy cars/tracks are this interesting in LFS I say a big NO to real cars or real tracks (though Rockingham is great AND FBM, MRT, BF1, RAC are great). We can see real stuff enough in Assetto Corsa or Project Cars (but we still choose LFS).

At least I know now why tire stack rows with progressive height is not the best implementation in outside line of a turn. I'll keep in mind in the future, thanks for testing FasT

Quote from Racon :It should start from a position where the line for the cars staying on track has already moved out from the wall ideally, so probably closer to the right hander in the middle of the pic than the left hander on the right. A big, gentle S-shape from there to where you have the boxes in the image

Yes true, im not sure if I want to put time on that. Though I like the idea the cars start from the car park side, instead of racetrack side.

I'm finalizing my new layout and I would like to hear your thoughts on this (the layout part in this pic may look familiar to you from Eurus and some other lyts)

I think about not to use original pits, instead building simple pit lane in the backyard of the original one. What do you think? Currently pitting is very slow since the entry is long & slow and you have the speed limit also there. Custom pit would be shorter. What do you think? I could still use the original garages as pit starting points.

Do you find any drawbacks on this idea?

btw. anyone would like to beta test the layout? Maybe you guys find something to improve.

Was browsing my stuff and found some small fun

1. "Sometimes the race situation decides your pit (Maciek incar)"

2. "Rockingham sausage celebration"

Quote from MicroSpecV :Also needs ability to free select and group multiple objects (or an entire layout track) as one model and be able to import or export. @Lucaf would help, yes? Smile

This would be very nice. Currently LFS Lazy contains a feature that you can save a selection into a "block". Too bad it doesn't work for me Frown When I save a block, it still doesn't display in the list of saved blocks.

So what I do when I want to reuse an existing set of max 30 objects from another layout, I load the layout containing those objects, do a multi selection, then reload my working layout and I have the wanted selection in my hand (if other layout is not same track, I rename the layout to match the track I work, so I can get the layout visible in the "load layout" list)

Quote from sinanju :Not so good alternative is to just use coloured concrete wall - Blue for distance furthest from corner, Yellow for closer to corner, and Red for if you don't brake now, you'll be in the wall.

That is a nice idea!

I would like also to have "replace" functionality. Sometimes i want to replace an object with another. The effort is to position the new object exactly in the same place than the old. Here I would like the "replace".

For example brake sign marks 50, 75, 100...sometimes I use old layout as a base for new track, and lets say I need to replace 50 with 75, 75 with 100 etc.

...Or somebody would ask, why we have many separate distance signs, why we don't have just one sign with different values ("colors"), 50 would be one color, 75 another color, so I can just change the "color" of the sign.

TEASER:

If you think you master IndustrialEurus (next host of Ronys XL events), beware of Glaucus - the big brother of Eurus! Faster! Longer! More dangerous!

Will be introduced....eh....before christmas! Na-na

(ps. Heart the new layout editor!)

No doubt, we need "USA56" class in LFS, with 2-3 fantasy cars similar to these (btw nice autocross...)

Quote from Evolution_R :It is way much more than an online racing simulator

I would call LFS a social racing sim. This makes it attractive, in my point of view. You don't just meet cars on the track. You meet people, chat with them, share information, make jokes, share the fun together. I guess that is the reason AC and R3E are just eating dust on my hard drive. (Okay, there was some rare cases where I met nice personalities in AC, but the poorly implemented chat there just doesn't motivate you to use it much)

Great vid! I would like to see more this kind of videos (+ I would like to learn making such). How many great races have been stored and forgotten in MPR files all over our hard disks.
