Quote from Silvio Tavares :it has to do with some mpr files in a few given tracks. Spr files seem to work fine as well.

Maybe upload here those problematic mpr files and others may try if TV Director work with them?

Quote from Ped7g : try to check for some performance settings

Good point. I have noticed in many modern laptops the default power setting in Windows is "balanced" instead of "maximum performance" even when charged.

Where was this picture taken? I found it on the website on the page where you can purchase a license.

Fern Bay Green, just drive half of the lap and you are there.

Only LFS run bad and you think there is no fix to it? Just be patient and think carefully all possibilities. Try install new copy of LFS in another folder.

Video is very nice! I prefer the first one without doubt. I think the way you drive the chicane shows one weirdness of LFS; Many curbs, especially in S-curves, are cut with all four wheels. I assume that kind of cutting doesn't happen in real life? I'm not a racing expert, but for me it doesn't feel realistic.

"it used to have 100fps"...what happened after that? Maybe do system restore to the time it used to be good. What is your processor occupancy in task manager? And disk usage? Maybe some malware is using your cpu time? Or maybe you have that nice Win10 "100% disk usage" problem?

Maybe your graphic drivers have been corrupted? Check them / try reinstall.

These are nice to read later, so I write all hw I remember to have had:

I think when I started in 2009 I had some Athlon64 3500 and silent Geforce GT9500 which cooked to 105 celsius degrees while playing LFS causing my screen frozing during game. That continued until I realized it was the gpu temp and I attached a 12cm fan into the gpu cooler. I used windows XP with probably 1GB or 1.5GB RAM.

In 2015 I had Win7, 8GB RAM, and Pentium G3240 with Integrated Intel graphics HD4000 or something like that and it was well enough to play LFS. I probably had already upgraded my graphics to Geforce 650 when new Blackwood was released.

My last configuration is Win 10, 8GB ram, Intel I5 4460 and Geforce 1050 which I used succesfully also with AC and R3E simulators.

Quote from Flotch :November’s progress report will be epic as the other 3 ; December’s one will certainly be totally mad Big grin
I suspect Scawen to progress well on tire physics discretly : everyone is focused on Eric’s brilliant job and maybe the graphical part is doing exactly what they want it to do currently, leaving Eric able to do everything perfect without Scawen implementing new things Smile
speculations...Ya right
in short, wait and see

Petals LFS we can expect devs wanting to have some christmas break, so I personally expect only one more progress report this year. Nevermind, the final result will be impressive Heart

My idea would be, that if we get the source code and Eqworry doesn't still react in any way, we could develope it together and put a very small price on custom airio release, and all income would be forwarded to eqworry (if there would be any way to do that, maybe we fulfill his private inbox with LFS vouchers???)

Cmon, If Eq does not want to relate with us, maybe using his code will motivate him to visit this forum. And If that would happen, we would pay him the amount he wants.

Quote from Juanjo :Then I hope @Victor can tell me how to take access to these files.

Or at least you can ask admins preserve your data if you close the server for a period and then reopen it.

Sounds really strange. And you are using Windows with user account of administator level? I would suggest you install another fresh copy of LFS in separate folder for example c:\lfs2 and try with that.

If scirocco were released 11 years ago, it would make no change on the situation today. The amount of unhappy people would be same.

Hmm... less sand around "eau rouge"... will result into more cuts on grass?

This looks like a dream coming true. I'm having fun guessing what will be the version number of the release. At least 0.7, or even greater?

Whatever happens, there is always someone who is not satisfied, who wants more, and more, and more. Quantity will never be the permanent solution for satisfaction. As LFS community gets smaller and smaller, I think the spirit inside community is paradoxally getting better, since all remaining members are those who are happy with the game as it is now, without complaining.

lfs.net offers only Airio Free. If I remember correct, that version does not support FTP backup (I may also remember wrong). I wonder if there is any other solution than contact developers and ask them how you should handle the situation.

Final versions so far. Any bug reports are welcome. Feel free reusing them as you want. Have fun!

Would be nice if someone records one hot lap on both layouts, I could include them as youtube-vids on the official layout page.

edit: GlaucusRev layout updated, just couple of cosmetic things, banners and signs which were not "reversed" from Glaucus layout on which I based the Rev layout.
