These reports have been great and shows how busy Scawen is!
Multithreading became a necessity to switch to 1000Hz 1ms physic steps. Even if the tire model remained the same it would absolutely remove the tearing or micro stutter at whatever frame rate. In some case like 60 o 90 fps VR it will be perfect whatever point of view. 60fps screen are still common and will get butter smooth now.
Anyway I have no idea about tire physic progress and I wish Scawen the best because it is a killer project!
Yeah I got the Lemon eureka the other day. Because in France we pronounce Citro-en or citro-hein. But yeah citron is lemon in french too!
I am always amazed to see the De Funes success abroad. I think about him at so much french tipical but his acting was so much visual that it worked in many other countries.
On low poly and deformation you are totally right some high poly mods are very ugly after contact.

There is still an issue with the lod.
The skinning might be improved also.
IMHO the car would benefit from being split again like more drag on the oldies and more power on the newer? Or different tyre size.

I played Black & White back then. It was extremely special. Don't remember if I finished I think I got bored to be God at some point.

And no I am not telling Scawen what he should he focus on...
But maybe some day by looking at it, some addition to current sound model would pop up for the better...
