I don't think that's usually accepted :P . Ask permission and they'll usually do it for you or something.

Here's what I had going so far (minus the wireframe, that shouldn't be there). Meh. It would be retraceable, but anyways, lol.

Well that's no good. I had something good going on, and the program crashed, without me saving.

I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: Would you want the NASCAR-style stickers on it?

Im getting his helmet design on my helmet in RL
Just a little modded though.

Nice. His helmet designs definately look quite cool. What version/year are you getting as a base? (if '09, get me some high res of the bg if possible :P )

Is it that urgent? I'm mising time and higher res images, though I can do with the ones I found. The background graphics are indeed tough to replicate and I won't be doing this helmet in 15 minutes. In the meantime, you could use his '07 lid.

I never posted my laptop on here now did I?

I'm trying it this year with LFS and it's not that bad. I runs pretty much the same as my tower (a little lower FPS in starts, but higher overall).

Both, Premier and Vegas. There's good things in each, such as the simple tracks and effects to find in Premier, but there's a few good options in Vegas. Though Vegas seems somehow complicated, there are good options (croping, multi-image, more effects) (basic mode) (that I don't know if they are in Premiere, haven't found them). But then again. I usually use Vegas.

Nice one Rob!

For me, I mainly specialize in replicating helmets, and I'll just got straight to it. When I have to do original helmets, I may sketch 'em up a bit on paper beforehand, but each one is different. As for cars, I just go ahead and try stuff out. I'm usually a fast worker when it comes to skins (really, everything graphic-design-related), but sometimes some original projects can take a long while.

The champion driver of the previous year gets the #1, his team-mate the #2, and then the other teams are sorted by constructor championship standings of the previous year.

Now who will get the #3 or 4, that is tough. Raikkonen seemed to be the more important driver, but it was indeed Massa who went the furthest up the standings and almost gave another drivers' championship to Ferrari. Tough to say.

Numbers are small nowadays because they don't mean anything really anymore. Except for the #1 car, there's no real meaning (except saying how high the team finished in last year's standings). Now if they could choose their numbers, now bigger numbers would be cool.

I use the MOMO and it's not that bad. It does the job for the low(ish) price.

First, that's a huge request.

Secondly, 2 of those helmets are already done ('07s and '08s) in the Finished Skins (Helmets) skin topic. As well as many others.

EDIT: Because I'm such a nice guy (and have time to waste), here are Hamilton's and Raikkonen's '07 and '08. Please search and look around for (popular) skins, it's easy.

I had a question, that I've always wondered about. What happens when a team disconnects from the server (ie: times out), but wants to rejoin, how does the procedure works?

Gotta say the background imaging on the helmet is quite something... Nice style too, though I'm wondering on the green with the BMWF1. But anyways, I'll eventually be getting my hands on, on a few of the new helmets for this year as well, as usual. I'll be looking into this one maybe.

8mpg is crazy and normal at the same time. Though a lot, this thing must weigh an incredible amount, showing how normal this has bad mileage and a 6.5L engine. And think about it, that I know, there's always 2 or 3 of these driving around so "they" don't know what actual car he'll be in, so that would make it something like 8mp3g? 3mpg? Meh, w/e. Strong car though. Chassis of an ambulance too, to hold all of that.

Gotta say, though being a strange style, the skin itself is seemless. GJ.

I voted for hands free device simply because you can't just take it away. IMO, you shouldn't be talking on the phone while driving, but it still needs to be allowed (via hands free) for emergencies and such. I personally have one and rarely use it. I never make calls while driving, and if I receive one I'll keep it VERY short. If you want to talk for an extended period of time, just stop somewhere and make the call. One problem I have against removing it entirely is 1-another restriction we don't need to have, people should be able to make the judgment themselves, and 2-the same would go with other things: discussions with people in the car/having the stereo on/talking gps/etc.

All in all, don't do it unless you REALLY need to, and keep it SHORT!

Quote from CSU1 :...I sell this brand in work and have fitted quite a few.

Basically, if you need to release the stereo from the dash you need the key's, in the pic you can see two strips at each side that lock the stereo into place, the key's simply slide in and release these tabs and the stereo pulls out.

That's pretty much what I was thinking of. I saw that there was the frame and all, and checked that it wasn't screwed onto a different piece (ex: some nissans/toyotas). I had a pair of keys with my Sony (example) but they didn't seem to work. My guess are that they are different? If so, where can I get the correct ones? If they should work, what could be the problem?

Thanks for the help folks.
Car stereo unit problems
Knight_Atack

Hello,

Well, I bought a new car a few weeks ago and it already had an aftermarket audio unit installed, but personally I don't like it all that much and there's also problems with it (no more backlighting, etc etc). I already own another unit (Sony) that I'd want to put in there instead. My problem here is that I am unable to remove the current unit, or more precisely, I do not know how.

Car:
1998 Mazda Protégé SE (1.5L engine)

Current unit installed:
Clarion DRB2475

Any help or guides to help me with this problem will be greatly appreciated. I can supply more information and pictures aswell.

THANKS!
