I know that, but I was thinking of changes that actually show/visible, or have a more significant difference to the car handling/performance, for example adding an extra wing/winglet for support, wider brake air intake (for brake demanding circuits), etc. Just ideas though, I don't have much of a problem with LFS as it is now. And simpler to skin :P .

I'm not against a little tuning, and would think it unrealistic to see none of it in the future. Having a few variations of the cars on the track would be good, show diversity, and could adapt differently to each drivers. Having an extra winglet here or there to improve stability for someone, yet some other person don't need it. There's a lot that can be done for racing with tuning, than simple bling. On the XFG or UF1, okay, thats bling, but for example a GTR or SS. Do any of the real F1s look the same (except same team) on the track? No. But overtuning and stuff is definately over the top and I hope to see none, especially those neons.

In short: Tuning for rice = no. Tuning for performance/driveability (yet keeping cars balanced in it's class) = yea, I guess.

You can create the illusion of, but it just remains graphics nonetheless. zeugnimod said it well.

I had to check the website out and all, to give myself ideas and a basic theme, and then went from there, and the result is a good one me thinks.

I've sent a PM to aLpine containing the skins and LFSW skins ready to upload. If you need anything else (other skin, graphic/webby, etc), don't be afraid to ask (PM).

True that the load time isn't very explicit, and may be annoying, but thankfully I have decently speeded (?) internet. And good thing the "open in a new/background tab" works still, 'cause I would always do that, didn't know it still worked... Good thing. The good thing is that it gives you a view of the pic that fits to your screen res, before hand, so that's the best part IMO (esp. for previews). But I'll continue to use the bg-tab for skins, thanks for the heads-up on that.

Well, I was checking out the skins section as usual, and noticed that the attachments opened differently. It like opens in a thingy, then if you click on the image again, then it goes to the real image. Okay, I know, totally unclear, but hey.

It wasn't there yesterday as I recall. Has anyone else noticed or is it me/my comp going nuts?

If you think it looks too much of a "clown car", try changing slightly the colors. Replace on of the colors by a white. EX: Red/white/yellow, or Red/blue/white, or White/blue/yellow. It would still give a retro-like style, and maybe give more style and less over-coloring.

Almost done. BTW, what numbers/(names/flags) do you guys want on them (if any).

Now that's just being arrogant, kinda. And those are the terms attached to my skins (CC). You could also simply have given links to the files/posts instead of attributing to yourself this pack. And the only reason I have not made the new version was because of 1- the lack of time, and 2- lack of source material (that I do now have). So briefly, I only ask for the helmet to be taken off. Thanks.

Now that's actually the most ridiculous thing I've heard so far. I've also checked out the other topic and it's nonsense. I agree with the stuff that requires the game (such as sound, Xlayouts, etc), but skins shall be allowed. Many people do/did it. If they ban for that, shame!

I actually had in mind to do it a while back, just haven't done it yet. I might do it eventually, but dunno. I think I was thinking more for the BF1 even though the style definately fits the F08. If anyone gives it a go, good luck. Dunno if I'll find the time to do it myself.

Nice find there mogster. But for some reason I'm unable to open the .zips from the site. Dalek, if you have the same problem, I have .eps of Bridgy and Marly on my drives that I could .zip to you (since we can't attach .eps).

GIMP is also a free editing program (similar to PhotoShop) and is free (wow, I said that twice). And I do believe it supports the .psd files from Master-Skinnerz. Their skin kits are a great way to skin since you have a view of the modelling of the car.

As for the rest, well, creativity and everything else. There are some "to be finished" and "base" skins found somewhere in these forums (which I forgot) and many other things. I think it's in the templates section. There's also lots of stuff over there at MS too.

And layering well... Um... What do you mean exactly?

Would be a nice idea/thingy. Some kind of thing linked back to LFSWorld. 'Cause right now, xFire is need to be used.
