Does anyone even still want the Scirroco?
Like are we all just fooling ourselves? Or has it become a joke?

I've driven it a few times back in Forza 3 and it's okay i guess, but nothing to really be excited about.

I guess any change is welcome, but still.

Quote from Sobis :Even if I mainly race, do you understand that drifters and cruisers are actually a significant portion of the player base?

I did not know that, what a shame.

Is it time to play this game open world? 10 years and changing = 0

Yeah i'm sure the 3 devs that make this game can come up with a open world map in no time, just to please the 1% that play LFS as a drift and police chase simulator.. /s

Quote from Amynue :Did that area get scraped? Why was it there in the first place? Was it ever intended to be finished?

Looks to me like it was just a planned circuit that was scrapped, only to be revived later on for Westhill.
The basic layout is really similiar.

There's always been something about LFS's graphics that make it look really simplistic, but at the same time also very realistic. Maybe it's vehicles looking a bit cartoony compared to the enviroments?

But it looks great nevertheless! Can't wait to test the circuits out. Thumbs up

It's hard to fake a multiplayer replay though, mr Costa. Rofl

I can see why people get upset about this, but when you google Free LFS S3 you probably get the same site.
Nothing new, people pirate stuff, like we all probably did before we bought our licenses. Tilt

It's not about how to get it or where to get it anyway, but more about do you have morals or not.

Remember the developers even put one of the bigger crackers in charge of licences, so forgive and forget i guess. Starting a witch hunt on the forums would be hypocrite at best.

And what would they acomplish by putting it on Steam?

Let's be realistic, nobody is going to buy LFS when they see the RB4, FZ50 or FXO GTR.
The graphics would leave a bad taste in their mouth even before they could get a feel of the physics.

But perhaps the upcoming graphics update will hide the cars sharp edges aswell? Uhmm

Edit : And i'm quite sure that people who are in the market for sim racers already know what LFS is.

That looks amazing!
If it wasnt for the grass i would still be guessing which one is real and which one is not.

Thanks for still keeping this game up to date devs! It looks amazing! Na-na

I still remember playing the game for the first time off a demo compilation disc that was somehow legal to sell in stores.
Looking allot different..

Never thought that it would still get mayor overhauls 15 years later. Big grin

Quote from LakynVonLegendaus :Wait, people actually pay for cracked games?

Fixed, i think in LFS's case it's actually 50/50

That's the same guy who ran cracked servers for people who werent willing to pay for a licence right?
Who after all that became a re-seller?

Was a big joke to begin with, like giving criminals a job at the bank just to stop them from stealing.
Like that's ever going to work.. Schwitz

Having the exact same problem, has there been any fixes or known solutions?
Both PS3 and Xbone controllers like to steer either or to the right, or to the left just ever so slightly.

Back in the day it was exciting to get a new, actual excisting car in LFS.
Now everything is welcome really.

Great work! Never seen anything like this before. Thumbs up

But i was wondering though, wouldn't a old school bus or a tourer work aswell instead of a trailer?

Quote from JazzOn :Right back at ya.

This is a thread about Westhill, and people voiced their opinion and arguments. The case was closed and now you (and other annoying people) come in again make a big deal out of it.

Just deal with it. It's just complaining for the sake of it, isn't it?

Well to me it is quite a big deal.

People haven't really noticed why Scawen and such weren't releasing news that frequently anymore.
And then they just continue doing that which pissed them off in the first place.

But I guess it's all "resolved" anyway, we get a updated layout with a new one trown in aswell.
Couldn't be better!

Indeed!

Quote from PMD9409 :Who, beside you and cargame (who is clearly trolling), is saying they are not happy? Get off your high horse and quit making a big deal out of nothing.

Oh the irony.

You mean the people who feel Scavier owes them a extra track besides the update?
Which could possibly, don't know, give a lot of extra work?

Just deal with the new content, and deal with the loss of old content.
It truly is just complaining for the sake of it, isn't it.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :exactly this.

This is just ridiculous.

Can't you guys just be happy with the update we're getting?
It's been like 4/5 years to finally get some new, fresh content but yet people find reasons to nitpick about it.

Is it just for the sake of complaining or something?
Because then I can see why it's like talking to a brick wall and why the devs were so silent about their work.
Everything they say could be better, different or whatever.

It's awesome that Eric puts so much effort into this track,
and doing a mighty fine job aswell which I can really appreciate.
And he doesn't even owe it to us.

Yet most here behave like self entitled little brats as cargame just explained to us, want this, want that, want this.

And keeping the old track would just give us a inconsistent mess a 'la GT5/6 anyway.
It's a update, something will be replaced/improved, and above all it's free.
So just be happy with what you get, and what you already have.

At least, i'll be doing that.

Quote from PMD9409 :So Eric should be upset because we would like to be able to drive both of his pieces of work, and not just one of them?

If anything, you'd be asking for less, as it takes more time to remove something then to not touch it at all.

Quote from JazzOn :not more, but not less.

How hard is that to understand? Nobody complains about new stuff, just that the old stuff doesn't need to be removed.

Quote from JSHuiting :Mistake on my part then, thought that i read something about the retro versions of the LFS tracks.
From version 0.01 and such.

And i never said anything about people complaining about new stuff.
New stuff is great.

Quote from Kid222 :It's probably matter of a single thing, though we still don't know, how exactly the new Westhill will look, but we can have a good guess from the images. The character of the track seems to be slightly changed from the original, to a little slower and less challenging, which makes people demand the older track as well.

As far as i remember, that wasn't the case with the latest Blackwood update, because it didn't change that much, perhaps it even turned out better.

So as i said, it's only Westhill, nothing else.

Mistake on my part then, thought that i read something about the retro versions of the LFS tracks.
From version 0.01 and such.
And Eric did say something about slight changes indeed, which is the reason why all the hotlaps on Westhill woulld be reset.

Also, who's stopping anyone from using older LFS versions anyway?

Do they really? Or is it just a bit of nostalgia?

And it's not just the fact that people suddenly want the old circuits back.
It's that now we're getting something new, they still continu asking for more.
JSHuiting

Quote from cargame.nl :OK, you read it Eric. There is no update needed.

Quote from JazzOn :How old are you? Absolutely nobody said that.

Except for all the people who suddenly want the older circuits back too.

Eventhough the people who are asking for it may not be seeing it that way.
It must be really frustrating to anounce something new as a developer, just to have people want the outdated stuff back. No?

Quote from edge3147 :Maybe it's time to stop being positive and show the devs that we won't wait around forever.

Waiting 5 years for 1 car and 1 track. Dafuq are we all smoking?

I wouldn't really say that i'm waiting really, like who is.

I'm just curious to know what the developers are doing. Or better yet, what they're going to do.
