oh, and about those sounds, they only sound when i'm pushing hard, sounding at the moment i press them harder (happens with both pedals) and i quiet them with a bit of oil , but so far can't do nothing to the loose pedal set...

edit: the oil solution is only temporary, because after a while the annoying sounds are back. maybe some lubrificant will do a better job if i had some right now...

Yesterday, coming from another bike trip, i noticed some scratch noises coming from my bike's cranks, and felt the whole pedal set loose. when i arrived home i grabbed a wrench, opened the cranks, and noticed the inner bearings were all crushed. well, since i'm not gonna spend money on cheap bikes anymore, i decided to start saving for a better one.
from the range of prices, i decided to spend around 300-400€, and found this bike in a sports store close to me. i would like to ask your opinion, if this is a good deal or there are better options in this range of prices. before i forget, i usually ride 40-50km of tarmac road on my trips, but still want to make some light dirt riding, so a roadbike is out of my plans.

Yes, it happens when modding the GTA series, for instance. The car model and its specs are separeted. but remember there a car's behaviour can change because of the difference on the distance between axles, even if you don't change its performance (the handling.cfg file), and i believe the same would happen in lfs.

well i don´t know if 256 colors only wouldn't hurt your eyes, but anyway, graphics also matter in realism. i really would like to see you race this type of 3d game with the lowest resolution it can bear, a short range of colors and all graphics options at their lowest settings. play it for some time and then come tell us the results. some headaches, to say the least of them.
also with some good graphics (not like that crysis thing graphics, just enough for you to say "now this remembers me real life") you can immerse into the game more easily.

are you talking about the samsung u600? my sister has one and she hates it. the top buttons are so sensitive that the phone starts calling someone and you won't notice it. and you have to do so many things to cancel the call...
these new phones have all stupid layouts. very nice features but almost unusable. do you remember the great times of the nokia 3310? well i think i must stay happy with my Sharp GX17.

downlikerain what you're saying is very contradictory. for instance, in your last post you said you showed a comparison, but all you did was telling the ps3 is a lot better than the xbox360.
staying in the topic you also said you don't own a ps3, but at least have you ever played with one? because one thing is looking for videos on youtube, but when you have the controller in your hands is a completely different story. i don't own a ps3 or a xbox360 either, but being in a informatics class allows me to have rich friends with them, so i can say i played with both.
and also, like i mentioned not far back in this topic, when i played gt5 i wandered through the menus and said "wow, these graphics are great" but on the race track "damn, the gameplay sucks"

To be honest, they are too expensive for racing-purposes. They have "other purposes", like helping you to get laid with a moviestar or something. Nothing else.

what do you mean with "other purposes" and "nothing else"? they are not supposed to race? following your thought, there are no cars for racing purposes. cars were originally made to take you from point A to point B in a faster and more comfortable way, only then competitions for the fastest cars started.

seriously, what's the problem of supercars? they have an engine? Yes. They have 4 wheels? Yes. They have a seat and a steering wheel? Yes. So yes, i think they can be raced. "they are too expensive"? afaik there is no money system in lfs, so why should you bother with that? I'm not a fan of supercars myself, but i see no reason to leave them out of the game, since they have lots of fans, as you probably already noticed.

and finally, to the topic question, my answer is: anything with wheels, an engine, a steering wheel and in someway resembling a real life car, is worth adding to lfs.

well, it can be solved if mods are only playable in singleplayer, and in multiplayer servers only the lfs original cars can be used.
or maybe players use their own body shapes, and not download others. for example you have the original XFG car file, but i replaced it with a 2004 Clio Renault Sport 2.0 16V car file (great opportunity to show my favorite car and please ignore all the license stuff for now, since it's not what i'm trying to explain) but back on topic, if we get in the same server, i would see 2 Clio's (my car and your car, due to my replaced XFG file), and you'd see 2 XFG's...

But of course to do this, the game engine must be completed first.

well the best thing to do is wait for the pc version, if there will be one, but if you can´t wait, go for the xbox360. yes, hd-dvd is dead, but i won't be surprised if a blu-ray version is eventually released. and if you are interested in racing games, i already played both forza 2 and gt5, and definitively forza is superior in all aspects. and about gt5, is that supposed to be a simulator? first of all, it feels so slow.
