I see your point there and sort of agree. I mean yes everyone should get to finsih the race, as long as they started it. There should be a limit or so as to say 2 mintues and 30 seconds after the first person crosses the line that is how long until the next restart.

Or

So a time limit that the host can edit? Maybe that should be thought about?

Quote from e2mustang :that ingame racing line is no good btw

I find the race line great! It improved nearly all of my times by 1-2 seconds... It will suit some people but not others so best thing is the raceline will help you for where to keep the car on the track. It isn't that good for break points as each set up has it's own break power in rear or front. Thus making most setups having a different breaking point.

The best thing to do mate, is watch someone you see getting 1:35 - 36 times and see what there doing different to you, watch them for a couple of laps then try it yourself and what also is good is to get someone to review your laps which can help you alot!

With the team i drive with just now, they have helped take a massive chunk of my times

Get in a good wee racing group and it will help too

Quote from manny1222 :Hi everyone,
Just signed up today and downloaded the program. I've always played console games on PS2 and PS3 like grand turismo, need for speed, blah blah blah. I want to get into online PC racing with real sims. I have a logitech driving force EX, but I plan to upgrade to a G25 as soon as they have one in stock. I'm thinking I might have to upgrade my pc too cos my picture and sound are very choppy.
Well hope to see you on the tracks

I have the same problem, but, if you have vista then make sure you have it set to High Performance if so and it still "choppy" then listen to the big guys

Welcome

Quote from dougie-lampkin :The fastest (and most realistically inaccurate) way is to hold in the button to shift up, and then lay off throttle to about half way, then back down. It's a bit quicker than waiting to press the button after laying off the throttle

Yea same Only for FBM though. Just be as smooth as possible that will be the fastest way. Take off throttle as little as possible so you can get full throttle as quick as possible.

Quote from Becky Rose :Yes there is, the Child Protection Act 1933, you cannot give alchohol to an under 5 unless it's a 'medical emergency'. I'm not quite sure what medical emergencies involve getting a 5 year old so plastered they wake up chained to a policeman in a foreign country with a Las Vegas wedding certificate, but it never happened to me.

Right well that is a bit far fetched but i mean too a 16/17 year old drinking, is really the owners choice...well in Scotland anyway i don't know about Wales.

If it is a private piece of land then basically there is no rules...under the owners permission anyone can drink. Never stopped me :P

God i been drinking since i was 14

As long as your not stupid and go over board your fine lol oh i love being drunk...all i do is dance dance dance and dance again :elefant::drink:

Well that is what i am planning on doing, i mean after christmas or even when i go away for my birthday im going to look for a good Desktop PC and still use my laptop for general use but mainly use the computer for racing...only problem is there is no where in my house to have it and have the wheel setup in a good position there for i may lead to buying a G25...

Ahh there it is, i know it was something simple i had changed over! I had it on balanced so now having it on high performance will increase it slightly, well thanks for the help anyway

Yea i know that it was a cheap latptop and can't be changed, i mean the laptop wasn't bought for this sort of thing so i can't complain.

The only thing i am annoyed at is the fact before i stopped playing abuot 5 months ago i was able to get about 30FPS and have no lag with say 10 people on the start line...but now i getting lag with 2 people on the start line at about 6 FPS...ok it is not much to you guys but that is a big difference from 30 to 6 in my case.

Where can i find out about a graphics card? I mean even although it is a laptop it can't be change .

Can anyone suggest a reasonably normal priced laptop for this type of game?

Thanks
John
