@Chris:

It looks more and more like a dedicated track car to me as well. Here in switzerland it would never be allowed on the road like that...
I also missed the updates on your page when i had a look sometimes.

Mine sadly got a hit and run in a parking lot last december, it sits in a garage since then waiting for a new front clam. It's not a lot of damage and they could easily patch it up (front right bumper has a crack and headlight is slightly damaged), but since insurance will pay i'll rather have a new clam. I am not sure they still will make new ones tho... The guy from the garage (swiss speedster guru) says he has an order in, but no answer from them since january. I'm debating to let him patch it up or get a clam from someone like hardtop guy. I miss driving it!

Quote from CardsetCrazy :Pff.. I was talking about getting right fuel/air mixture. I don't have experience with cars but i have experience with bikes. Right mixture makes your engine run smoother and healthier since it doesn't run too lean or rich. Lean makes too much heat and if it runs too rich it makes "dirt" to the engine and also it doesn't run very well.

Okay, I was wrong with the chip tuning. I didn't know it just gives some random new fuel mixture. I think you should re-map the car for perfect fuel mix.

E: And that was basic info about petrol engine. You can correct me if something doesn't match with diesel engines.

Sorry, don't take it personal please.

But you showed the perfect example of a chip tuners mindset... no experience... i think... it will not harm your engine...

They don't invest that much to get something right. The main goal is more power, and that the engine will not explode in the next 50'000km.

For gods sake, they copy some "tune" they didn't even make themselves in most cases to some cheap chips and sell it for 1'000 euro a piece...

PS: Did you know that most chips for NA cars do pretty much NOTHING regarding power increase? Did you know it's really hard to gain power from most NA cars with ONLY chip tuning? Guess why that is... because despite the popular belief, engines are actually power efficient in most cases and there is no "50 hp safety margin" that you can quickly free up from the engine to gain power with just a little "software adjustments". Do you know which cars can be easily made more powerful with chip tuning? The answer is cars that are turbocharged... do you know how they do it? They increase boost pressure.

Quote from CardsetCrazy :I have no experience of cars but I think chip tuning just gives a perfect fuel/air mixture. Because of that the fuel usage should go lower. Also it definitely won't harm your engine, actually it might be even opposite.

This is perfect! LOL!

Take this advice from an obvious expert... or not...

Chip tuning will give you more power. It won't kill your engine in the next 50'000km. Your engine will not live as long as it would without the additional power.

As said above by another person. Big car companies sepnd millions of euros on development and testing. Chip tuners spend ZERO euro for the same thing.

Personally, i wouldn't do it.

If you don't care much for the car and don't plan on driving it for a few hundred thousand kilometers... go for it!

PS: The 2.0 ECO engine in my speedster has 200hp in stock form. Mine is "chip tuned" to 260hp and 450NM torque... so don't listen to me!!!

Moral of the story: Inspect a car before you buy it.

I mean seriously, what the hell? You buy it first and then find all these things?

Quote from Maelstrom :I have just started playing and it seems a step down from DS 1 at pretty much every level. Even the graphics.

But still it's a great game.

I started to feel that way too after playing dark souls 2. I actually went and bought the DS1 prepare to die edition thinking i'll enjoy it more...

Have you actually tried DS1 again since you last played it?
When i did, i realised DS2 is MUCH MUCH prettier, more fun, and the controls/gameplay are miles better too.

I'm on my third playthrough on the PS3. It's much easier than the previous titles, but IMO it's also the most fun from the series. Hasn't left my ps3 since release...

Quote from Matrixi :I know the vehicles and weapons will be available in SP (yippee) but what I desire is more missions from strangers and freaks, or even some extension for the story.

They said that future updates will bring more flight school and assassination missions.

I don't know, maybe some DLC like TLAD or TBOGT would be nice, but i doubt we'll ever see that for GTAV... in hindsight, most of the missions in GTAV were pretty boring anyway. Drive here, drive there... i think i've never spent so much time driving from A to B in any GTA game before...

For me the fun is in doing silly stuff while free roaming in SP. Much more fun than the actual missions IMO.

Quote from Matrixi :Would be nice to have some SP content for a change, as online has lost all its appeal. Been trying to get 100% lately, up to 91% now.

Quote from rockstar :Just like the recent Valentine's Day Massacre Special, the new vehicles and weapons will be available in both Story Mode and Online. In Story Mode, weapons will be deposited into all three characters' inventory with two full ammo-clips and all three cars are accessible from their garage properties.

Quote from Dennis93 :Well, First of all, BMW was only accelerating once VW was indicating to go into left lane, so that is a commitment, it moves out before it was EVEN a danger to the BMW.

Secondly, BMW continues to accelerate until x close meters to VW, thus VW makes the reaction to brakecheck, which of course is wrong, but having an idiot going under your bumper flashing lights and honking horn, I'd probably put him in the fence.

3rd, the VW moves over and instantly the BMW starts it's shit again.

And then of course anger and fear takes over.

BMW started it.

The logic in the video is "you hit me in the face i'll hit you in the face too!"... or "you shoot at me with a gun, i'll get mine and shoot back!".

You would have put him in the fence?

An eye for an eye... great philosophy.

Or in other words: Both drivers are idiots that don't belong in a car on the road.

And the VW driver was driving correct?

All of the drivers in this video should have their license removed.

Yes, really... compare the two headlights, they have similarities, but are not the same at all. It's like saying two women look the same because they have blonde hair.

Quote from Matrixi :500 euros is sadly my absolute maximum budget and I tend to avoid used instruments as they might require expensive maintenance if they're worn out, but I think I found my piano though.

http://www.thomann.de/gb/casio_cdp120.htm

It's within budget, and seems to sound pretty nice. Doesn't have the classical grand piano sound built in though, but I guess that could be done somehow via PC by plugging the piano in with USB and using some sound program?

I'd still go for the used option. Check condition before buying. (Good) music instruments don't "wear out" so quickly if treated good. I would personally never buy a Casio product except for watches maybe...

In my opinion, it really doesn't make sense to try and save too much when it comes to music instruments. You usually get what you pay for...

Good instruments can always be found used in good condition for half of the price they cost new. I'd be looking around for something like a used Roland FP-7. You can't go very wrong with Roland, Yamaha, Kurzweil, Kawai... just don't buy their cheapest products (as with all music instruments).

If you don't need built in sounds, look for a master keyboard (you control sound modules with them via MIDI (your computer for example)... however, i have no recommendations there, as i found most new ones that don't cost a fortune are cheap plastic keyboards (Akai, M-Audio), so i ended up getting a used Yamaha KX-88 which is built like a tank (regarded as one of the best master keyboards out there, was Ray Charles favorite they say... but quite hard to find one).

I did the same and made 1.5 mil legit.

I still enjoy doing races (the fun ones, not repeating criminal records and down the drain a thousand times) and missions. I don't see why it takes the fun out of doing these.

I simply enjoy finding new cars and tuning them, messing around in helis and tanks, etc... and i'm not going to play 300 hours and do 5'000 races to finance that...

Haven't posted in this thread for quite a while.

Mainly working with the SP1200 now, sold most of my other drum machines. Kept only the MPC500 and MPC60 (sadly the screen is busted at the moment).

Here's a collection of my work, most of it doesn't compare to the true oldschool Hip-Hop beats, but i'm still enjoying making beats a lot... just need to find more time again, been slacking a bit since a year...

I gave up on earning money in a legitimate way. I've spent well over 50 hours doing races to earn ca. 1.5 millions, bought the best appartment, filled the garage with cars... It's just an endless grind to make a few thousand dollars to enjoy the game.

I'm doing the car selling glitch now. My Futo sells for 106k every time.
Much more fun with a buzzard heli, tank, etc.

Still doing and enjoying races to earn RP and rank up.

I have a fully tuned coquette, engine mods, turbo, brake mods... everything. I decided too late i would prefer a carbonizzare, spent too much money on the coquette already.

In my experience it doesn't matter that much anyway. If there is a race where personal cars are allowed and catch-up is disabled, if you enter with a tuned car (engine mods, turbo), once you get away, most people will never catch up anymore.

Also mentioned by Coletus a few posts above, get a tuned bike... you will win almost all the races.

Regarding selling cars with a value higher than 50k... i have the same issue... i think i'll drop the ones i want to get rid of into the ocean...

Quote from Mysho :So you basically play MP just to get the best apartment and share your garage over lfsforum?

I thought about this before it's funny... It seems at the end of the day the main goal in gta online is this... Bragging rights, getting all the good stuff and say "look at me!".

But it's fun to grind in this game IMO. The races and missions you do for getting money are fun IMO.
