I also recommend wearing leather.

Don't think you're safe because it's only a quick ride around the neighborhood. I once decided not to put on my gear, since i just had 1 mile to drive to go for lunch... There was a little spot of sand on the parking lot of the restaurant... i lost the rear and crashed at maybe 10 mph, was enough to put a nice hole into my jeans and **** up my knee slightly.

A friend of mine has a knee cap implant these days because he crashed at 45 mph wearing jeans.

Quote from tristancliffe :I have cycled at the speed of light.

And that's not even a lie or an exaggeration.

A very dangerous thing to do at night. If you drive any faster, you always have to stop and wait for the light of your bike to catch up. I missed countless corners because of this and ended up in fields (because i couldn't see sh*t).

Quote from Marin2 :Sorry, but you are not telling the truth. Ford laser can't reach such speed.

He put in a new speedometer after he unblocked it. The new one goes up to 400km/h. Haven't you learned anything?!

Quote from Marin2 :Wow! Awerome! Thanks. , but does the needle moving really accelerates and decacelerate the car? Because you just move it and you don't touch brake or gas pedal?
Please tell me, because "yes" would affirm my "teory", wich is nosenre for som members

Yes it really works! Just be careful not to turn the needle all the way around to the start point again... if you have a speedo that goes to 300km/h, and you turn it all the way around... you will go from 300km/h to 0km/h within a few seconds, which can be VERY dangerous if you are not wearing your seatbelt!

Quote from Migz :
Sorry what's the comparison between letting someone shit in my mouth, and spending a few quid on something to see what it's like.

The comparison is to show that both things are equally stupid and don't have to be tried out to find out it won't work.

And hey, do as you please...

Quote from Migz :Yup! It came up in conversation a few days ago, some of my friends seem to think it will make a huge difference, i think if it makes any difference it wont be noticeable, if it even makes a difference.
So thought id spend the £20 just to see who's right. Also bought a switch for it which i can connect to my throttle so that when my throttle is open the fan will turn on, which is apparently how its meant to be.
Just waiting for it to get down to see if its a load of bullshit or not.
I expect the former.

Ehhrm... i'm sure there's easier ways to find out if it'll work or not. I mean, isn't it pretty clear it's just a load of BS?

If your friend tells you it won't stink and you won't puke if he shits in your mouth... do you let him do it just to prove him wrong?

I have a digital dash with three digits... it's in km/h... does this mean i can drive 999km/h if i unblock everything?!

Quote from BlakjeKaas : you just want to hear the car shift up, it doesn't sound healthy =P.

Better don't drive an S2000 then. You have to resist the urge to shift to the next gear at 6k rpm... and take it all the way to 9k. Whenever i let somebody drive the car, i always have to tell them not to shift too early...

Quote from Crashgate3 :However, as fuel will be cut due to zero throttle, I doubt it would damage anything.

If you leave it in the same gear, and the road is steep enough and there's enough room to just become faster and faster... at some point your revs would go way past the limit, and the engine would break. It doesn't have to run on fuel to break, all it needs is too much revs.

It's a cool experience indeed.

I bought my MX-5 with 40k on the clock, my S2000 with 60k. Both cars could "breath" more freely again after i took them to the track and drove at the (engines) limit for a day. It's not a myth, it's true (depending on how granny-like the car was driven before).

You fail.

There is a thread about this on the first page of this section. Congratulations!

I thought it was fun for a few minutes but that's about it. The idea is cool, but the game looks a little outdated to me and the cars feel generic and all handle a little bit similar.

For somebody who really likes arcade and has money to waste, this could be fun for an hour or two...

I agree that speeding on public roads should not be encouraged and all... however, some of you folks are behaving like old people who have too much time on their hands and go out to play traffic police with little notebooks in their pockets to write down license plates and stuff...

I say the speedlimit on freeways should be reduced to 15km/h. After all... there could be cows and stuff suddenly falling from the skies...
