Basically still the same car and the pics are just crappy cell phone pics... However, new clutch and diff installed, running super smooth again! Me very happy!

And on other news, I wouldn't mind if they finally starting making all cars premium, which polyphony stated somewhere they were planning to do.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for that one... If it's true what they said about premium cars, that it takes them six months to model one car... i don't know...

800 cars times 6 months...

I guess we'll get some new cars that are premium sometime, however, i would place a bet they won't be the standard cars that are already in the game.

Quote from Nathan_French_14 :Currently in talks with some guys from the US about parts that may be available for my Engine. They use a F22B1 and F23A1 in there Accords. They put out less power than my 2.0 F20B6, but the blocks are the same. I'm curious whether I could retro fit US parts onto my UK engine.

Either that or I fit in a H22A7 from the Type R Accord....

:eclipseeh

How about an FC20?

Quote from logitekg25 :every time i look at the picture i like the rims a little more..but im still not the biggest fan

and i diddnt notice that it was too high, doesnt look too bad in my eyes height wise

EDIT: yeah the second picture brings out the height problem

It's not just the height that makes it look stupid, I would say they stick out way too much aswell.

Quote from DeadWolfBones :Somewhat common in big cities, yeah.

That's just wrong in my opinion... it's a kid, not a dog. Kids are supposed to learn some stuff by themselves... running around, falling on their nose, loose track of mommy, find her again, blabla. I don't know, to me that picture just screams overprotecting...

Meh, back on topic, sorry for the interruption!

Save the money, aftermarket wheels are not worth it IMO. Then again, i'm a mug, so please ignore what i've just said...

N/A engine -> turbo it and smash the tits out of it= Win
Will turbo the M3 engine next year

I could get a turbo kit for the S2000. Street legal and everything (hard to find such a thing in switzerland usually)... it only costs 14'500 swiss francs (about 11'000 Euro), would you mind paying for it?

And on a serious note... why would i want to ruin the wonderfull N/A characteristics of this engine?! Blasphemy!

Quote from JJ72 :the ones you have later on are already modern classics! I need to do better to afford those. But hey when there's a target, there's a way.

Now that sounds more reasonable for a price... still a great deal tho. Over here the same car with such low km's would cost 15-25k easily (depending on the year). So...

1. Find more cars for the same price.
2. Ship them to switzerland.
3. ???
4. Profit!

PS: I was just lucky to buy the 944 turbo before people realized what a great and overlooked car it is... about a year after i bought mine, prices went sky high. I couldn't afford to buy one in good condition today.
I really miss that car... but the S2000 almost makes up for it!

Quote from JJ72 :I am actually planning to get a MX5 after I paid off this one.

It's really nice indeed, I only paid about 600USD for it and it has only 20000km on it, girls dig it too!

Great choice aswell with the MX-5, can't go wrong with that!

Well, you could still follow my route... minus the cooper i never had (started with a golf gti), i went MX-5, 944 turbo, S2000...

PS: Amazing prize indeed! How did you manage to find such a deal?

Nice! Congrats on your first car (i think it's pretty nice for a first car)!

If you follow the example of Highsider (forum member), your next car will be an S2000.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :I'm confused? My views on racism, unequality and serious subjects do coincide with most of the real rappers such as Nas, KRS-one, Raikim, etc.

Where as whether I think a FWD Golf can launch better than a 4wd doesn't fall under the "rap" umbrella.

Nah, i wasn't having a go at your backyard car tuning wisdom actually. I'm thinking more of your sometimes narrow minded and naive posts... which don't go very well with the ideologies you find in hip hop.

In other words... if you're such a big fan of hip hop, you should be a little more open minded and light hearted sometimes... but that's just my personal opinion based on some of your posts you made in this forum. I might be wrong since i don't actually know you in your personal life.

It's not VAG cars that respond well to engine remapping, it's turbo cars in general, since you can simply increase the boost. And no, in most cases you will not need bigger injectors, maybe a new fuel pressure regulator, but not even that most likely.

Your car doesn't need more fuel to burn, unless it's running lean. If that's not the case, more fuel will mean it'll run too rich, which isn't a good thing either and will most likely destroy your cat.

PS: You're a chav in disguise then...

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Clearly the people who have all upgraded their injectors on the VAG cars must be wrong, and all of their dyno printouts must be wrong.

They probably have it chipped aswell? Usually you have to upgrade the injectors when you have more power and the standard injectors can't provide enough fuel pressure anymore, so the car will run lean without upgrading them. For a slight power increase you usually don't even have to upgrade them. And even if you increase power so much you'll start running lean, you can simply install a better fuel pressure regulator in most cases, without having to upgrade the injectors.

Upgrading injectors on a stock vehicle with no engine tuning makes no sense and won't increase power output.

Where do you pick up your car knowledge? At burberry?

Quote from PoVo :4wd != awd

On a car with four wheels it's exactly the same. 4wd = four wheel drive, awd = all wheel drive... now if your car has four wheels...

Quote from S14 DRIFT :waste of money

Why do you want to tune a golf? I've never understood people like you...

Your car is FWD, it's a good tool to get from A to B, reliable (you're about to eliminate that quality if you follow your ideas), etc. It's not a sports car.

Why not save up that money and someday buy a better car? ...instead of tuning a golf.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Lol I don't get who would actually use that.

I had a 944 Turbo once where they intentionally kept the dash lights very low (you couldn't turn them up to the point where they would actually be bright and "in your face"). The reasoning behind this when porsche made the car... less distraction from the road.

Quote from DevilDare :And people like you say its shit without even trying it. So who is more dumb?

If you are looking for a new sim, then I think its pretty clear and obvious this wont be it. If you're looking for a new racing game, then this is very decent.

Whats so hard to understand?

Ohh come on!

I've played shift1. It was utter shit. Now people talking about shift2 say it's still not good, nobody is talking about how they love the physics... everybody has controller issues, tries to talk good about the game so they can justify their money spent, etc.

I don't think i need to waste my money to be proven right.

PS: I enjoy arcade games, i'm not a hardcore sim racer. What i don't enjoy is dubious physics and controller issues... because they are rather frustrating than fun (both for sims and arcade games).

What is so hard to understand?

It's funny how people like to fool themselves.

The game is clearly shit, yet nobody wants to believe it until they have tried it.

It's like meeting a bland and dumb, but hot woman in a bar. She starts flirting with you and whispers in your ear "let's go to your place". You get the impression she's a bitch, has a bad character and is probably not even good in bed... yet you are hypnotized by here awesome rocking boobs... so you ignore all the bad signs, and take her home...

...only to complain about what a stupid bitch she is the next day and how she wasn't even good in bed.

Good times!
