I'd imagine the cracked versions of games is more of an extended demo type of thing than a real alternative to anyone who really wants a game like lfs. It could be an interesting statistic if we knew the percentage of people who downloaded the demo and then bought the game vs percentage of people who downloaded cracked version and then bought the game. Or the other way around. How big percentage who downloaded the game did not buy it compared to the percentage of people who downloaded a cracked version and then bought the game. I'd bet all my monies that the percentage of people who bought the game is larger in the cracked version group compared to the demo people.
As for f2p. It is basically a version of the game that has monthly fee but if you do not want to pay the monthly fee then you can play the downgraded version of the game. As far as actual costs go the f2p games are always the most expensive ones simply because there is no natural upper limit to how much you can buy. And because the way the system is set up it is easier for the developr to put a price for everything in the game compared to monthly payment type of game where the player expects pretty much full access for his "entry fee".

I just checked the engine.ini and the ai.ini of that mod. The rev limit of the engine is 3700 and ai should shift up at 3600. Maybe change the UP=3600 to UP=3500 in the ai.ini and see if it works? Or make the DOWN much lower if the gearing is so long it drops below 2300 when shifting up. Try DOWN=1900 in ai.ini.

If there is a problem with some posts in active topic posts can be removed. If there is a problem with some users those users can be removed as well. Discussion exists because the moderator himself actively participates in it and as such encourages it.
But when he is saying it we all know he does not mean it. Unlike that other dude who got banned for 6 months for saying the same thing. He was serious! The dude even said it was a cliche so it was definitely serious.
6 months for an obvious bad joke? That is bad moderation. But whatever we say scawen has clearly said he will not change his mind and will only keep digging himself deeper into his denial of being in any kind of wrong himself. When you are dealing with people who are this deep into believing they are infallible or incapable being in the wrong the best thing usually is to just ignore them and wait until their brain kicks in later and they see what has happened without the mist of anger and self inflicted frustration that keeps them fighting.
In the larger scale of things if you want to guide your community to direction that is polite and clear of nasty things you do it by having clear rules and penalties that are in line with the offense. 6 months for something non misogynist is like death sentence for stealing candy. It doesn't make people respect the rules. It makes people hating them.
It doesn't exactly fill me with confidence if any kind of minor offenses can result in 6 month ban or nothing depending if the person making the decision has a developer tag instead of moderator tag.
Well one of the signs of good businessman is that you don't invest into something you do not understand. And bernie is still living firmly in the 70s-80s and he understands tv so that is his focus. He doesn't understand social media so he doesn't see it as being important.

Like he says it was a great idea for tobacco companies to get children to smoke early so the kids stay loyal to your brand when they grow up. It was definitely in jest. It was also very much written in provocative tone and I understand it is a sexist thing to say. If I was trying to say effectively the same thing nicely I'd say something like sex is normal part of marriage while an F1 drive is an expensive gift.
Let's put it this way. Lfs only releases screenshots about things that will never get released. Iracing releases screenshots about stuff that will be in the game during the next 3 months, usually sooner. If getting 10 screenshots in 6 years is your idea of racing sim then lfs is the perfect sim for you.

I've never called her slut. I don't think she is a slut. I don't have any kind of negative opinion about her at all. She is not very fast driver at F1 level. That is as far as my critique will ever go apart from few jokes I personally find extremely amusing!
I don't think it is wrong for her to get to drive F1 cars. I don't even think it is wrong for her husband to get that drive for her. But it happened. Not because money or talent. Would I have preferred some actual talent getting that drive? Yes. A woman driver? Sure, put simona in the car and let her show suzie how to do it (driving fast).
Well do you think suzie would have gotten that drive had she kept her legs together?
The thing is that they could fix it but don't want to. Realism = difficulty after all. And I'm pretty sure that punchline also appeals a lot to the old gtr1/2/rf players who had cars that spun in similar manner.
Many sims have the topgear track. Rfactor, rf2. Assetto corsa probably as well.
