Quote from super_hoops1967 :
my question is, would it work well on GT4 & GT5 prologue on the ps3 aswell as it works on the pc for LFS?

I have no clue if it works with GT4, 5 & Ps3. I check on its box and its written "Racing wheel for PC". DFP manufactured for PS, but it seems no problem for attaching & using with PC. Maybe its possible to use R660 with PS. But not sure on this.

Well, R660 is like R440, looks nice, better design & bigger wheel radius than its predecessor. And as Crowsnose indicated, it has 180 degree turn capacity, which could be considered as a drawback. And other differences from r440 are, r660 has "immersion FFB" and semi-automatic gear shift lever can be attached on the left or right side.

AFAIK, current good wheel list is something like that; (without counting exotics like Frex wheel, home build stuff etc..)
* g25
*DFP
*Fanatec 911 wheel
*Momo
*Saitek / Logitech f1 etc..

Also you may check this one.

Saitek's new wheel. I have been using older model R440 for three years without a problem. Before R440, I own a Sidewinder & Momo. Momo was quite good but saitek is nothing less. Especially unique design of pedals. No chance to slip away.

@NoYPiDRiFTER - hi.
Well, not everyone but some people acting as you described.
I noticed that sometimes "having fun" or "seeing the lightersides" of a person's post, goes beyond the limits and become something else; bashing, humiliating etc.. but i think its a general human behavior, nothing special here. You can make good friendships here, also you may quite dislike of this forum's atmosphere, its depends way you look.

The more you share common points like cultural backgrounds or tastes more you likely having fun here. If you suggest, or setting up a new opinion, responses will be variable. If you lucky enough, some wise ones come and reply, if not you will be disappointed. Sometimes people can be stubborn as a rock, even you are giving firsthand experiences, they never accept. But nevertheless, I visit here most of the time to check if there are any info about the development of the LFS or if there are any interesting posts.

I say dont worry, you keep going on your way. And read/research before post. No one can have an opinion on any subject if he/she experienced/learned somehow beforehand IMO.
& Respect.

I agree those who says more improvements on tire physics, engine modeling etc. are better than new cars or tracks.
Physics engine improvements is definitely change the way we feel while driving. So if physics change in more realistic way, so does everything.
After that, maybe new model of old cars make some additional change and attract attention.
For me, the current state of LFS is already very very good.
Its look like devs wanted to make it better and better to make their dream come true.
I think this hope is keep some of us here.

Thanks for the video.
RAC really looks like smaller than LFS version.
But its nice to hear its similar driving.
Once again, LFS engine is confirmed.

I check the replay and I think there is nothing wrong with CTRA admins but you sir.
I am agree with Timdpr. I wouldn't like to race against you too.

Thanks Zen321, its good to know that xrr can use your design. For the plate, its not a big deal for me, anyway maybe I can work around on this.
I will glad if you have time and can make some xrr stuff too for sure

Thats nice Zen321! Its look like your modifications will bring an fresh look to old xrg, especially for interior, well done I appreciate your work, I do some skinning stuff myself too, and I know that this kind of things could take amazing deal of time, thank you for sharing with us.

PS. Could this dds files fit to XRR?

AFAIK, there are lossless and lossy conversions in audio world.
ie. mp3 is one of a lossy conversion format. I am using "ape" format for converting wav files to lossless format to save size. When you convert an "ape" file (Monkey's Audio) to wav, you can have the same file but when you convert a mp3 file to wav you never have the same wav file that you converted to mp3 before. Because some parts of the song are not squized, they are just kept out of the new mp3 file. And those parts can never gain back.

Lossless conversion is very much like the zipping a file. You dont lost any data. Lossy conversion is much like bmp to jpeg conversion, you lost a great deal of data but save size. Thats why when a mp3 file (especially low bit rate) converted back to wav, final file is not satisfactory most of us for listening on a quality music system.

But at the same time, its difficult to say when you hear a song and if the playing song's file whether wav or mp3 when mp3 file bit rate is above 300 kbps. You need a pair of very very sensitive ear to separate hi-bitrate mp3 and wav.

The tires are tend to generate more heat when they are under inflated than normal pressure value. Heat generated by more deflection of under inflated tire and more friction due to the larger contact area. It happened to me once: when I driving my car I noticed something like oversteering, after the visual inspection of the car I found one of my rear tire is leaking. And it was very very hot.

At LFS, I found similar effect. Low tyre pressure: more grip, less speed, more heat. You probably using R4 tires at FXR I guess. I have not much experience on this car but I think you need more deflection to generate core heat. Therefore you need to lower tyre pressure to allow it to move axially. By doing this you will also have raised contact pact temp. some amount.

And lastly, core temp. is a indicator that tells us the pressure of the tire is increasing due to the heat. If its cooler I think its better if your grip level is not affected or not affected badly. Let it be like that. If it stays cooler (blue) it means that your configuration (car+tyres+and your driving style) can not generate more heat, so its stays cooler. Means your tyre pressures are remains similar level with your adjustments in pit.

I am not sure what happened to axis, its interesting.
I think you already did reload the wheel drivers (after removing from device manager, usb controller included).
Here is my "controls" section ss below, so maybe you can re-adjust everything and lock the channels via "lock" option.
I hope you can fix it by this way.

Welcome to LFS forum.
As far as understand, for the lateral drag forces: It starts with blue, green, light green and red (like magnitude: blue is minimum and light green/yellow is maximum) Red means, tire starts to slip. Longer green means tire going to lose its grip or it has a great force on it. Short red indicates, it started to slide, so here, forces not big as last moment of gripping tire (max gripping value of specific tire on specific surface). When tire start to slide, there is much less force needed to continue its movement.

Quote from danowat :Style and stratagies?

Trail brake to the max, and slow-in fast-out

I try to do that as Danowat said, plus I tend to think other cars as if they are real cars
(avoiding contact etc.. as you do in real life),
means, driving respectfully and clean is my main concern.
Also consistency is important as many people agrees.
I race "by the book", so obeying the racing rules is also very important IMO.

I hope you get your s2 licence soon buusap, for complete LFS experience.

Quote from RocksGt :I used to like Petrucci a lot... I studied him a lot and eventually I realized that he is extremely overrated. He (no doubt) has a good technique and he is fast, but with the time it seems like he ran out of ideas and started to repeat again and again the same "tricks" in his solos and riffs

I agree with you about Petrucci. Maybe he needs some new ideas who knows...
I see that you play e.guitar, any demo songs? (if you recording)

Quote from RocksGt :

One of the best guitar players no doubt...
Just listen to "The Sleep" solo... or "Planet Caravan", so much blues hided in that solo... I really love the feeling he had playing, the way he used the scales, his artificial harmonics...

Damn that fu***ng moron who stole his art

Yes brother, as you said...as you may know, that moron was one of the Panthera fan. What an irony...
RIP.

Ps. I watched "Dream Theater - Cemetery Gates (Pantera Cover)" video recently and I am surprised that petrucci cant play the song's solo intro decently and mustaine continued the rest of solo and f**ked up badly, what a mess there was two vocals also.
