Quote from DevilDare :F1RST ofcourse. Hence why they are in the lead by 1 lap

Lead by 1 lap ? You're obviously not following the race...

Top 3 is all doing a strong performance, too bad of Mooney his DT. Kroesse does nice also.

Quote from oscarhardwick :A really really big protest at R.V.Buren is now inevitable I think...

From what I saw from on the stream (not replay), I don't think Buuren caused the accident but there was something with Staal - Kroesser - 'unknown GT2 car'. I think Staal didn't expected Kroesser to be next to him and they got in contact. Again; not sure at all, just giving my opinion on live stream watch.

Indirectly of course caused by Buuren unlapping himself in the middle of a GT1 top three fight, which is indeed (even when being faster), not the most wise thing to do.
At least do it on the straight then if possible, not in the close SO corners.

Keep up the racing.

Good racing, but also: very great commentating!
It's even more interesting and better than the commentators we have here on the national sport channel (eg. during F1 races; they always miss stuff or give incorrect info).

Keep it up

Fun to watch. By the way, you can review it all on the link in first post, skip the intro's or delayed stuff in between. Some nice racing in it... racers can be such little kids

I do recall heavy throttle-braking "tyre warming" actions.
Leave that out next rounds mkay.

Did something got changed to the pedal options or such ?

When I push in the throttle pedal it doesn't go to full in LFS. The brake one does though. All is allright with the calibration and the wheel, it's no pedal problem. Raced before this morning in Z, updated just now this evening, problem occurs now.

Kind of a poor review to be honest, I had expected more content, not just rating on 'standard setup', 'skins' and that dashboard thingy.
Yeah, we know what we know. And we surely know better than the 75 overall score.

I went from 17th to 11th and only did 10 laps why the rest did 42 and 57 laps ? I should have won easily!

Seriously though; what does that table mean ? Makes no sense...

Quote from boothy :You want to ban tyre warming? So exactly how could you have got your R4 fronts up to temperature?

Your point being ? Afaik MoE (or was it IGTC?) also banned tyre warming after a similair pile up behind SC in one of their South City races. It has well founded and logical reasons to disallow it and avoids a lot of nonsense.

Not only this crash, but I also saw several FZRs "warming up their tyres" by going left, right at 50 km/h and going into the grass several times, barely holding their car together and avoiding a spin. It's dangerous and the effect is so low... Few easy laps in the start and you right away have hot tyres; this is endurance racing last time I checked, not a freaking sprint race where every corner counts.

Quote from J@tko :Start 2:

#99 [nFinity E-Sports 1] and #17 [7Karat] collided in the second right sweeper before the final hairpin, causing a pile up involving:

#23 [Serbian Hell Drivers]
#13 [Clockwork Motorsports]
#22 [4Stroke Racing Team]
#86 [IM Motorsports]
#12 [Dinamo Motorsports]
#10 [Sim Racing Society]
#11 [White Water Racers]
#95 [WSR]
#90 [Last Lap Motorsports]

Penalties: TBD

Car #17 appearantly had the habit to speed up - brake a lot during the tyre heating, I found that pretty annoying. On the moment of the crash we were in sector 4, which means get in close formation. I saw in front of me people getting in double lines, which was my intention, though car #17 didn't saw me coming on the right though (which should have been my position).Car #17 was also suddenly braking, while I don't really see the need for such a sudden brake action on the long straight. This caused us to collide, we both ended up in the grass and I was unable to control my FZ2 in the grass, hence the spin. Could I have braked heavier ? Very likely, though I was a bit nervous and watching several things (eg. also the car behind me who was close). The cars behind me neither responded superb; they just drove into me, surely on the left of the track there was room...

If penalties are being given for this I'd make it a rulechange penalty: NO more tyre heating up actions. They lead to trouble, confusion and accidents like this (as there is no communication between the drivers from seperate teams).

No protest has been submitted (no reason to either, just placing it here as it seems appropiate), however I'd like to excuse myself for the crash caused during the SC period in the second lap before the race start. The car in front of me (7Karat) speeded up, I went closer as we were in sector 4, and either the car lagged or braked very hard it's not clear to me (have to check replay) and I simply bumped into his rear, got on the grass and we both spun, taking others with us. Nothing I could do about it, nevertheless my excuses.

Regards,
GC

Good race everyone, I'll write up a report soon.

Just in general I'd already like to make a remark: work on your "tyre heating" please. Speeding up - braking - speeding up - braking - speeding up - ... is not really how you have to do that. Especially not if you speed up in a turn and on the straight afterwards really go stand on the brake back to like 50 km/h. Not only dangerous, but I doubt it has any (positive) effect on your tyres.

Thanks NDR admins for hosting, was a decent first endurance racing experience.

Have fun and good luck all, may we have a new fine experience in LFS (namely endurance racing, rolling starts, ...) and a lot of clean racing.

See you on track!

I just hope to be informed asap if it was indeed something bad and if there is the chance of someone else having obtained my password. Cause I might be very screwed if that's the case...
