the historix mod is great, as i mentioned before. FFB is very good w/ real feel + the modified controller.ini force feedback settings. The corvette is good as well. I'm looking forward to the Supra Mk IV! If only I could somehow get in on the testing of that car...

the racing was pretty funny @ the high level in LFS. w/ the xfg or gti, it looked something like nascar. w/ all the bumpdrafting

my 4850 is about as fast as 2 3870's in crysis... so you shouldnt expect much from crysis w/ a 3850. w/ an Intel Dual core, you won't gain much fps once you are over 3ghz.

Maybe bump your cpu up to 3.5 ghz or whatever you feel comfortable w/ (higher voltage ages cpu faster) and get a new graphics card. or save up and build a new rig later?

GTA IV will give you some increase w/ higher cpu speeds, but not so much w/ Crysis.

I'm a bit annoyed that there's only digitally unsigned drivers for Vista 64-bit right now... (official drivers coming in march?)

the lost and the damned content is already in gta IV pc version... there's a mod for it. I havent used it myself yet.

yeah, just follow the manual. you have to couple the pedals w/ the dongle by pressing the button on the back of the dongle, and then pressing all 3 pedals. If you have vista 64, you have to use http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo or something similar to disable driver signature enforcement... at least until Fanatec update drivers.

Well, i replaced the paralax file w/ the one samsam posted at bhmotorsports and changed resolution to 1680x1050. game seems to give decent framerates for me... but i get reversed ffb.. and the ffb is very low.

no, i dont think it's killed LFS, though I havent had a race in lfs in ages... What little time i have for sim racing is going to be spent trying to get faster @ LFS.

Really? S1? you must have a horrible machine and run at minimum settings. The shadows are much more detailed than pretty much every racing sim out right now.

Some shots from my first race @ Daytona w/ the Car of Tomorrow. Overall the race was pretty fun, but this last guy I was trying to pass just wouldnt show me any respect. I wont make the mistake of being too nice when trying to pass again. I'd move to pass and he'd always swerve to block, but it was too late. I kept slowing down to avoid hitting him.

i have almost no life and yet i am still having trouble to find time for sim-racing. i guess I just suck at time management . Is the racing good w/ the Mazdas at road america? lots of battles or what?

i haven't really gotten a chance to race or practice w/ the mazda or COT, but both were fun for the few laps that i've gotten done this season. What do you guys think of the COT? I'll try and upload a video this week if I can squeeze in the time. itll be a chance for me to learn how to splice 2 videos together.

I've heard some people note that the sense of speed is not there w/ the car: (200mph feels like 120 or something). I can't even speak for myself because I haven't driven the car in days due to being busy.
