you'll get a feel for the car eventually. you may like the spec racer better since it has better force feedback than the solstice.

to go to replays you have to click the gray bar where it says "events" then below it, you'll see replays. click that.

You have to save a replay in the first place, though. or download one.

it would certanly be cheaper. i7 is kinda overkill for most games out right now. Though i ended up getting one myself recently.

My Turbo-S's gas pedal has lost a considerable amount of range. i only hve to press the pedal 70% to get it to register as being pressed 100%. so now when i want to lift off slightly, i'm still going full throttle.

Has anyone gotten the turbo s to work in windows 7? I can't get my gas and clutch pedals to work

they work ingame, but not in the wheel properties... odd

I'd just use the 4830. its abot the same as the 8800gt w/ more features, right? dx10.1 and i'd disable onboard.

having an onboard nvidia card for physx and then an ati card would be sweet. Is there any benefit to having an onboard ati and then a seperate card. or an onboard nvidia and then a plug in nvidia card? why not just disable onboard video and use the better card?

maybe i missed something and need to read the thread i am busy cooking and just running around like a chicken w/ its head cut off.

try using driversweeper to wipe all nvidia and ati stuff off of ur pc. then reinstal the ati drivers. Also, you can use the 9600 as a physx card if you install the fix to enable physix. Nvidia is evil and disabled it. but there is a fix out there to re-enable physx if you use an ATi as your main card.

Crysis likes high clockspeeds and is very gpu intensive. GTA IV likes quadcores and is very cpu intensive.

w/ y moverclocked e8400 and 5850, I'll get better framerates in Crysis than you, but you'll smack me around like I stole something in GTA IV, because you have a quadcore.

if you've've got a 4850, 9800gt, or 250, you'll see a nice jump in framerates. the 5850 is faster than a 285gtx in many games, and the 5870 blows it away. the cards are selling like crazy. I don't really regret my purchase, but it wasn't my most mature decision considering my current financial situation.

I got huge gains in crysis. LFS got a little boost too . I gain more from OC'ing my cpu than putting in a new graphics card in GTA IV, though. All the other games run silky smooth now. I was going to do a full writeup, but you can see the benchmark results here:

it comes w/ steam unlock for dirt 2, but dirt 2 doesnt come out till december. its bigger than the 4850 i had before and so i had to just quickly move the wires around to get the 5850 to fit.

Now if only LFS had graphics on the level of NFS Shift.

I am thjinking about getting a q9550 and selling my e8400.. dunnno if it's worth it.

yeah, i'tll probably have the usual gt5 modding. stage 1-3 or whatever. different clutches, and diffs tires, spoilers, rims, weight reduction.. hopefully we'll actually be able to tell the difference between the different diffs this time around -_-. and it wont feelt like you always have an open dif.
