Crysis: Maximum edition is 13.95 on steam. now is the time to buy if you are a mechwarrior fan. The full mod is gonna be moved to warhead, but the current beta is on the original crysis.
game's great online and totally worth the 30 seconds to create an online acct if you havent already. I just had a few krazy battles on clearcut. game didnt crash on me so i got a chance to amass a large amnt of money and buy pretty much whatever mech i wanted.
yeah yeah this is unnofficial, but people from the mechwarrior development team helped out with this mod, and it's actually pretty awesome. it has more features than any of the previous mechwarrior games i've played. w/ the graphics of crysis. I've already had a few awesome battle moments I just get so sucked in the game, i forget to press record on FRAPS.
The official game is supposed to use the unreal engine :/ i dont know if that engine can look as good as crysis unless its some next-gen unreal engine.
yeah, it came out lol. here is short clip of me heading into battle and running into some pesky midget elemental or something. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN4tK1nZG7s
a good 500watt power supply would be fine for that system w/ plenty of headroom. I had my overclocked i7 rig running w/ a cheap 550 watt just fine, now i have a 780 watt power supply though.
I was told its best to have a power supply that is maybe only being stressed 50% under the full load of your system. so 500 sounds about right for that system?
Corsair's god a good reputation. ur suppost to look at teh 12v total wattage to determine if it is a good psu among other things. if the total down the 12v rail is close to the listed wattage of the power supply, that's supposed to be a good sign.
Hehe, i was actually really close to buying the anted 300 illusion, then the 902, then last minute I found a Antec 1200 for a good price so I snatched it up. $132 shipped to my house
i prefer games trying to look photorealistic. I mean Dirt 2 looks good, but it doesnt look "real" to me :/ some of the effects are nice like if you drive through a huge puddle, you'll be damn near blinded by mudd on the windshield.
here is video w. i7 cpu and ATi 5850. there is a strange sound glitch. I am gonna try the game again and see if its still there. i just installed beta ATi drivers.
" Motion Platforms
If your system has a motion platform, then DiRT 2 should be able to control it. This feature is completely untested beyond checking that the basic data output is correct, and as such should be used entirely at your own risk. The output format is designed to be compatible with the "Live for Speed" outsim motion platform format..."
