GT Auto with a premium car:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiDJHAMNVA0

The race conversion looks amazing. Reminds me of the works conversion in NFS Shift.

The Micra cup car and Alfa 147 on the previous page look really low res. However, the other standard cars (I know the Megane is a premium car) Look quite good.

Quote from speed1230 :Standard? I can see the driver clearly at the beginning?

But as the player went through the camera views, it didn't have a cockpit view. Standard cars are actually quite detailed, just without a cockpit view, full damage and limited visual tuning.

Standard car gameplay (If it hasn't been posted already)

You can see the bumper is bent a lil bit at 1:52.

EDIT: And a GT Auto vid:

What he did.

I like how the tailights illuminate the railings in the second pic.

Quote from brandons48 :I think Cervo cause it's a lot less sporty than the 500

Less sporty? Have you seen the size or the rear wing?

Quote from shaun463 :500 is too up-market.

It's either that or the Cervo then.

Quote from Matrixi :I guess it would need to be premium which limits the selection quite a bit.. Suzuki Cervo?

Looks like a Chevrolet Beat, but it is probably the most reasonably priced premium car.

Hold on let me look through the car list...

Oh yeah, it is. Don't expect blistering lap times though.

Needs to be a premium car... Micra 12SR?

When the game comes out, we should have our own SIARPC contest hosted here. Due to there being no Liana, Lacetti or C-apostrophe-D, we need another reasonably priced car. Any thoughts?

Quote from Luke.S :probably the skyline. Well 999 of the 1000 cars are skylines

And the other one is the X1 prototype.

I'll probably end up getting loads of cars, build them then sell them to do most of the events in career mode, but I'd spend the spare cash on tuning some Japanese performance cars.

So... it is 24th Everywhere? Games usually come out on friday, so I'm pretty sure it's the 26th in the UK.

EDIT: Turns out it will be released in the UK on Wednesday. F**k Yeah!

Wow, do all the standard cars have that much detail? The cars in the 5825 vid have visible interiors.

That's probably going to be in GT5 anyway

I bet it won't be. In the released package that is, maybe as DLC though.

BUMP.

Anyone tried the demo? Just so you know, it's only on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

The first thing you notice is that the graphics are pretty much the same as Burnout Paradise, so there is plenty of eye candy and the damage modelling looks great. The cars feel heavier than they do in Burnout, and they drift a bit too easily. Once you master the Handling, there is alot of fun to be had.

Any problems? Pretty much none. Only minor problem I found was when a car gets stopped by a roadblock or spike strip and it isn't wrecked, it is usually quite far behind and I have to wait for it to catch up. Not a good thing if you want to have the best time on your Autolog wall.

Overall, 8.5/10.

If anyone is complaining about the charger not being a 2 door muscle car, have you forgotten about the Challenger?

The Charger looks too big for my liking, and the heavy 5.7L engine probably means poor emissions and fuel economy. I would never consider this over a 335i, S4 or C350.

Amazing discovery!

I always thought LX cars were based on Lotus 7's.

More Lulz:

I think Boris is right, it may have something to do with the 'new' Stig being modelled into the game. Or maybe they are making a premium Skyline just in time for release.

On the other hand, I am having multiple LOLs after reading comments from GT Planet, and now I have time to play NFS Hot Pursuit.

Quote from danowat :Anyone buying the furiously over-priced collectors edition?

Ooh, a collecters edition made especially for me? Awesome!

Jokes aside, I'm not buying it. May be a good deal, but the price is too steep.

Quote from speed1230 :
Well I just want to see what those 1000 cars are :P

800 or so of them are upscaled cars from GT4 and GT PSP
80 of them are from GT5:P

Many new cars have been revealed, so there are around 50-60 cars we don't know which are in GT5 yet.
