Quote from MAGGOT :
There's a 'southern' accent in New Brunswick. That's really strange though, because it has a high french population (relative, of course) but they sound like they're from Kentucky or Tennesee.

Well, actually, it's the other way around, some acadians (new brunswick)
were deported to Louisiana by the british a few centuries ago. That would
explain the similarities

Quote from W1ldPort75 : So , for the people that have no idea or clue of whats going on , do me a favor and stay out of it .

Then that settles it, most people on this forum don't have any ideas or
clue of what's going on. Thread closed.

These are the skins in question

Quote from MAGGOT :
Most Canadians don't speak a word of french, me included.

Well, there are about 6.6 million francophones in canada, most being
obviously in québec (anglos account for about 10% of the population
here) and then new brunswick where it's about half and half. In all, about
25% of canada are francophones. 1 out of 4. I wouldn't say most
canadians are anglophones, i'd say most provinces are. We are just
isolated on either side of the country since the brits and french fought
for the territory.

Oh, and thanksgiving is more like a day off to me now. It used to be
about the turkey but meh, i could get turkey anyday.

Ok, first off, why is there 2 identical threads of this ?!
Second, what do you think posting this here will accomplish exactly ?
This strikes me as a thread with a death wish. Kamikaze thread perhaps...

There are arguments and there are discussions. Arguments are usually discussions that turn sour and into a dispute.

Personally, anytime i'm racing and the chat gets flooded with arguments, i don't care who was wrong or right.
There's nothing wrong with explaining your point of view (lag, controller issues, n00b behind you, etc...), but to go
on and on is just annoying, not to mention the insults that often follow are just pointless. The person who won't
stop arguing often strikes me as being stuborn (spelling..) and i find that also shows in their driving.

LFS is still a computer game and some people need to be reminded of that sometimes. You cut me off irl i have a
reason to be mad, you could injure me or the people in the car with me, damage my car, or maybe even kill
someone, in LFS, meh, i don't risk anything really. If someone is really a bad driver and is ruining everyone's race,
then just vote him off the server. Else, maybe take a break or something. You need to break the circle of violence.

Quote from Rish : IM HOOKED and soon to be single. (The mrs is not at all happy). Anyway HELLO!!!!!
Rish

Yes, S3 is said to have marriage counseling included in a patch.

It's a very well known side-effect, btw. Friends, wife/girlfriend, kids, pets and
life in general are all subject to attention deficit due to too much LFS use.
Don't forget to go to work though, you'll need that money to buy S3...

Yeah, give TyresHot a break, he's actually making an effort. Like Jakg mentionned, he was
at 80 posts per day before the 1day ban, now he's down under 20, that's an improvement.

So he has issues controlling his excitement and tends to post things that don't really need
to be posted sometimes, that's no reason to turn this into a 'you have over X posts per day,
therefore you are a spammer' thread. It only makes things worse by flooding threads with
off-topic discussions about the value of posting. Personally, i've found him to be pretty civilised
considering all the comments some of you have made. There's no forum rule against being enthousiastic.

Well it sounds like the easiest joke to make really. Nothing original there. Rumors are just that, rumors.
Spreading rumors is just making it hard to know what is actually true. It's easy to come out and say, 'IF',
once the moment has passed since there is just no way to actually know for sure.

Well, to those worrying about EA buying LFS, i think the devs know a thing or two about how EA works.
Of particular interest is the game Black & White....

Like others have said, America's Army is the first free game i can think of.
You just can't beat it's stress for the money value.

Haven't touched Wolf:ET in ages, is there still people online ?!

Then there's always the betas, that's how i found LFS back in the days.
It's usually mmorpgs, but once in a while there's a cool game, or an early
version of a great game.

Well, here's my attempt. I decide to use Artpad for that genuine 'hand drawn by a kid' look. The perspective
is off on the rear of the car and i didn't bother coloring it, but i think it just adds to the naive look.

I used to have VWs and did a great deal of the work myself. I just don't
get your 2001 2.0L. Is that the old inline 4 cylinder 2.0 L ?! From what i
remember, these Jettas had either a 1.8T, the 1.9L TDI or the VR6, no ?
Either way, did you check on VWVortex.com? I used to spend a great deal
of time on their forums and found them quite usefull.

I'm also a bit confused about the 'five pulleys'. You ARE talking about a
TIMING belt, aren't you ? Because usually, the timing belt connects the
crank to the cams (more like gears than pulleys) and they have a
tensioner in between, you could count that as 3 (4 for a twin cam).
The only '5' i can come up with is the accesories. Alternator, water pump,
A/C, tensionner and crank pulleys, that makes 5.

Is this what it looks like ?

Quote from Gimpster : Under acceleration the car will pull tot he left as the torque from the motor loads more weight on the right tire and it does the oppisite under engine braking.

Did you get a used Miata ? 'cause i'd have that checked, bad transmission/engine mounts and/or
suspension bushings can sometimes do this. My old Scirocco would also do this, pull to one side
under accel and pull to the other side under braking. Everything was worned out and/or loose on
that car though...not to mention torque steer since it was fwd.

Just a side note, older VWs (A1/A2 chassis) all had a similar shift light.
Took some time to figure out the 2 modes (economy/sport), but if you
stood on it for the first light, it would eventually turn off then lights again
later. It wasn't meant for performance, but it can be made to do so.
It works off the vacuum from the engine.

LFS on the other hand is relatively perfect. There is no denying it, it lights
up when there's more power in the next gear, which IS when you SHOULD
be shifting.

Well, if you're locking up your wheels, you might wanna lower brake force
until you stop locking them. It will take a bit longer for the car to stop,
you might have to brake earlier, but at least you'll be able to stand on the
brakes and still have traction left for turning. I usually setup my brakes
so they barely lock up at the fastest point on the track. It's normal for
them to lock up a bit at very low speed though. When it happens, you'll
just have to learn to modulate them, like abs, click click click.
