iTCC is a weird one. At the end of the last season we went from 60 signups for round 1 to 20 or less for the final round.

It was also getting to the point where drivers were just wrecking each other "touring car" racing, rather than racing.

It might have been fun for those doing the hitting, but for us it wasn't. It was never the same after season one, where for the most part it was hard but fair. Instead it seemed to be a place where over-aggressive people would just run it in for the sake of it.

Power pulling out all the stops today, push to pass has made it quite easy though.

Lucky with that wall hit though!

I think we can if we look at the replay with any kind of brain. Jenson actually compromised his run out by going very tight in an effort to leave Seb enough room, but Seb had another idea.

There wouldn't have been a touch, Jenson had left him plenty of room!

Quote from N I K I :From the onboard replay this only shows just in before the curb, when it was pretty much obvious either turn into the side of Button and cause a pile of shit or avoid him.

No it doesn't. Seb has plenty of room because Jenson is leaving him the room, until it's obvious Seb has no interest in staying between the lines and is away and off the track. He knew exactly what he was doing.

That might be an argument if he was put there, but he blatantly decided that he was going across there a long time before the exit. He unloads the wheel and gets on the power earlier, knowing the wider he makes the exit the quicker he will be, while Button is on the inside sticking to the normal line will be slower.

Quote from N I K I :Well the revised rule is not making much sense. He extended the track, not cutted it and surely if there wasn't the tarmac area Button would have left enough room for both of the cars on the exit, so furthermore the revised rule isn't making sense when you take in account the attitude how drivers defend when there is a tarmac area and when they're obligated to leave room. We really don't need rules that will sterilize racing.

Exactly, he extended it in a traction zone, which gave him the advantage. In 2003 the stewards were looking into giving Schumacher a penalty for doing the same thing with Trulli at that corner, but after he got a puncture as a result of going over there and lost a lap he didn't get anything. Ironically, if Seb gets a penalty, he would finish in the same place Michael did on that day.

Quote from N I K I :It most defenetially will not be penalized. Have a look at the replay of Kubica vs Massa back in Fuji 07 for example, Kimi's start at Spa in Ferrari or Hamilton's pass on Rosberg in this years Bahrain GP.

In both of those instances the other driver forcibly pushed the other one off, infact there was actually a bit of a touch between Kubica and Massa. Seb made no attempt to exit the corner in a normal manner. The example used there should be all the drivers being warned about t1 at Spa, after Kimi used the long run off to effectively win the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix.

Clear penalty for Seb surely, made no effort to stay on the track. Knowing Red Bull they will get away with it.

Quote from Gougoodthing :Not really from danica, it is just common sense in motorsport drivers nowadays.

Derp, thank you, I had no idea about this and was not making a joke at the expense of American NASCAR coverage from earlier in the year over their obsession with Danica earlier in the season.

Do you see he takes his hands of the wheel before impact? Clearly learned that from Danica.

Thing is in many respects the two are intertwined. The more people playing LFS the more people who take part in varied NDR events.

Yeah that's a point, if LFS had something new car wise at this juncture then a lot of folk would be happy, but instead we await some magical update that's more than likely pie in the sky now.

GT2WS will not be back without my approval, and simply without a physics change I see no point in bringing it back. It's nice for you to ask me about this before you bring this out. You may bring GTAL back on your own, but not GT2WS, that's my baby, regardless of my coming interest in NDR event running.

Quote from dekojester :
And please, for the love of God, stop blaming the Dev's for your boredom. It's not their fault you forgot what actual racing is - the last years has been a pure failure of the natural system of giving the newcomers some goal and some role models to look up to like most of you had when you started out. When you "get bored" and stop racing, then they just "race" as well and have no challenge to keep them involved.

No two races are ever the same. Get off your hotlapping M.O. and remember what real racing is about!

That isn't true at all. I'm pretty sure we could simulate the current LFS with the same drivers twice and get similar results. The problem with GTR's is that we have the same god damn patch with the same god damn faults all the ****ing time so we get used to the faults and work around them, hence why we have less interesting racing, because the better people will always work around it. It's simple, the current physics have been used for 5 years and quite honestly everyone who has come and gone from LFS has mastered them, especially in GTR because that has been the same since 2007.

The "newbies" are now the best, will you blame them in 2 years if they aren't interested in the same old shit?
