Correct me if im wrong, but i think the XRG doesnt have turbo.
other than that you could use that sound mixer thingy, make some samples and put it inside. i dont know how to mess with that
EDIT: beaten by unseen
EDIT2: BTW nice supra, thats a mark3 right?
EDIT3: LOL Sueycide_FD...
Like Scatter said.
This "countersteer" is the Force Feedback in Action. its giving you informationf of basically what the car is feeling in the game. i dont recomend turning it of as the force feedback is what gives you the real feel of driving in the simulator. instead, learn to drive with it. In a Real car in Real Life, thats basically what the driving wheel would do when drifting.
I dont have a G25 but i read on the LFS BR forums: http://www.lfsbr.com/modules/smf/index.php?topic=6469.0
what they do is to invert the pedals, by, from the normal position, you rotatem them 180 degrees and then pithc up about 70-80 degrees.
That way, Clutch will become the accelerator and vice-versa, and the brakes will stay near the NEWLY accelerator, making heel n toe an easier and more forgiving job. at the same time, it allows youre feet to rest on the floor itself, relaxing the muscles..
thats it. if i had it, i would do it. dont know if it could work for plastic double pedal wheels, like MOMO or DPF.
EDIT: sorry for hijacking the thread but i dont want to start Another one, since this is a ''pedal mod'' too heh
I think there shouldnt be tire warmers at all, but only in classes that really dont use them.
as people said this should make the begging of the races interesting but the downside is (maybe) T1 crashes++ ... i think
but i think the tire phyics should be updated at the same time...
OT: funny how Bob rates stuff...
like
idea++ or no_tire_warmers = True or TireWarmers-=1
I am a C# progammer newb (im learning at school, going fine by the way) and sometimes i have problems and search the internet for workarounds. the thing is: are there any usefull tips like functons that should be avoided $$/or usefull functions / libraries to have?
i see that some people tell me to avoid the clear screen functions and scanf...
PS: what do i need to initialize graphics? i checked initgraphic() but... all i got was missing stuff...
thanks in advance... its cold here and hard to type =D
EDIT: is recursivity (i dont know how to call it) or the ''calling the same function inside itself'' something to avoid at all costs? (my teacher says soo, but it makes things soooooo easy, and never got a problem) and i should use instead while/dowhile right?
Ill be looking back to this say, saying "hey Bruno (LFS addict RL friend), remember when LFS was in S2 and the car deformation was a funny thing? or when it didnt had aero physics... it soo much cooler now!"
this is in no way a suggestion or a beg to the devs or anything. im just waiting to LFS to download... at 0.6kbps
damn im proud to be a S2 owner... aren't you???
EDIT: i was just reading BallBearingTurbo's GTR2 Analisys (wich is pretty accurate by the way man)
... and... im just happy!!!!!
PS: According to BallBearingTurbo, Playing GTR2 its like cheating on your wife... (LFS). dont do it!
i think he means that, when you press the shift up, doesnt mean the the car shifts up at that that, it only sends an action to the player model to take his and off the wheel and hold the gear, change it and bring the hand back to the wheel. in that way, you would ratther change gear decaseconds later.
the improvement i see is that whe you shift the gear, it skips the ''takes hand off the wheel and grab the gear shifter'' part and start with him on the gear shifter already. that way theres no lag caused by the aimation and if he dowshifts sequentially very fast, the inly thing that happpens is the ha staying alil longer on the shifter and then coming back. i think i saw a game that does this but i dont remember wich.
with this ''skipping first part of shift aimation'' it would work for people that uses, lets say, a Hpattern shifter like the G25. when you ENGAGE the gear you want, the ingame model would just suddently appear on the gear shifter and (maybe ad the same momment) grab the wheel later.
that would make the immersion level go up i think.
EDIT: ''suddently appears on the shifter'' lets just say that hes very god damn fast with gear changing =D
OT:Why noone mentioned Enthusia (PS2)???
damn this game is awesome, its like a LFS on console!!!
it has very well done physics (you can search movies that compare enthusia driving with real driving) and the game has one movie too.
The intro is... interesting. dont worry bout it (!!!!).
get your DFP on your PS2 and the Enthusia Proffesional Racing disc inside. That is one of the coolest experiences ever! (not near LFS but....)
The AI is one of the best. it knowws youre there, tries to avoid collisions in most cases, and tries to overtake you too.
The game has a Point system tha, you lose points by cutting the grass, hitting walls or other cars. that way forces you to KEEP DISTANCE from these things. (if your points reach 0 you are disqualified).
no i dont work for Konami (wich produced the game)
Justa heads up. when i bought this one, i had forgotten GT4 for sure.
Just a fact: ive been noticing that when a game simulates real physics of cars, if you try to dorifto in it and it dorifts, it has a good physics engine. well i think it proves my point
later! /OT
On Topic: well the final answer os obviouslly... no.
does *bling bling* separates the kids from the men?
EDIT: damn Off topic i posted
Today i installed Richard Burns Rally, seeing a s its one of the best if not the best rally sim out there. while on the config menu of the controls, i adjusted the forcefeedback settings alittle and tested. for my surprise (the wheel was running ok untill then, i even played some LFS before it) the game checks left, right and centering. But when checking, the wheel didnt moved left. it only moved right and didnt moved to the center. after this test my forcefeedback settings on general became messy (the forcefeedback keeps pushing the wheel to the right even out of a game, or while plaing ANY game). its annoying me.
I already re-installed the driver for the wheel (genius speed wheel force feedback USB, runs very well - actually used to run very well xD)
restarted the PC, unplugged-replugged the wheel, the power unit... still the same.
Sorry to btong this up but when i play LFS the force feedback is ok.
today i got my hands on a second hand RBR, installed, patched, run.
detect devices > wheel detected. test force feedback... WTF?
now my wheel keeps turning right and i dont know what to do. it as if it has default force to the right...
someone help me
Windows XP
2.6 sempron x32
1536 Ram ddr1
GF6200 256
Genius speed wheel force feedback (worked fine untill i tested the FFB on RBR now its messed up. even when i turn it off and plugoff the PC it still messed up)
I think this game supports demo users alot. And i mean, ALOT.
everyboddy here went tru the demo user phase, buying a license is not so hard if you really wanna get into the real thing.
even i could buy it (didnt had international credit card, had to workaround.)
