Reading that something came to my mind. I find it useless to restrict entrys to cars and tracks. Say the theme is something Formula One related. If one posts a screenshot of a XRG, that's his own fault, much like taking a screen shot of a BF1 at FE Rallycross would be. The voters decide which entry is the winner so let it be.
My vague guess is that it was intended to prevent stealing parts of or whole LFS edits from other people.
I think The line to draw is easy. Someone pasting an LFS car into a real picture to enter the competition should be given credit for what he has done, that means:
- how well the LFS car is integrated (spatial accuracy, adjusted contrast/colours, added reflections etc.)
- how well the choice of picture suits the theme of the competition.
Seeing such an edit I find it pretty obvious to notice what belongs to the original picture and what was edited in. Thus I only judge the work of the guy that enters the competition.
Then again it has been pointed out there's no professional jury, it's just an all public voting, so does all that really matter?
Okay, I welcome your research but so far I'm not able to do it, sorry. It's a bit complicated. I don't want to leave out sponsors - though I leave out something like the car manufacturers badges and letterings.
When I was in London with my school class some years ago the son of my host family - at about the same age as we were - told me the very same joke. :weeping:
If you would make yourself more clear maybe people would take notice of/answer to this thread. How exactly do you want them to help you with your skin?
What actually happened was disgusting an immoral. What those G.I.'s did is understandable. What the people involved in the cover up did is respectful and brave.
That is fine! If you want me to do it you will have to wait a week or so until I start it. You'd get a quality skin for sure but if you can't wait anybody is welcome to give it a try to.
I think the middle picture from your first post and the two pictures from your last post show the same car. First and third picture of your first post show another car.
What's wrong? They are soldiers, that's all. They are being manipulated thus getting paranoid and blood thirsty. They hear of suicide bombers as often as we do but the difference is we are not frightened by it. They are probably made to think like "Who cares if three or four Muhammeds die it's still better than one US Soldier losing a finger."
They were taking cover of an area that was soon to be crossed by six HMMWV's. They spot a few people with one or two having belts around their shoulders so the first assumption is they are carrying weapons. How many people have you seen carrying weapons through that camera? Maybe they just look like this or maybe half their KIA's are journalists.
The next thing that was seen before they were allowed to engage was a guy sneaking around a corner with something of the shape of a tube. Again their first assumption is it's a weapon - they are in a war. At least they definately think they are.
I'm not defending those guys. I'm just trying to make you understand these people. Wars are always disgusting and that was not a shocking thing to see for someone who is aware of what a war is.
I will eventually make it but I need bigger pictures. I can't guess all the little sponsors.
Edit: Pick one of the many different versions of this livery, please. One has a big "H&R" logo on the door, another one with "GIESSEN" at the same place, again there's another one with "SWR" standing there and so on.
Whether you take this or that one, make sure you post pictures here shot from as many different angles in the biggest possible resolutions.
I've never had a Momo Force but what I hear from technically it's a reliable wheel. Don't know if those driver problems are still present but I guess not any more.
