... I'm retarded. I forgot my MBP has a 330M in it.. I looked and went "8800.. I'm excluded".. but that's my work laptop.

STill won't buy it as I found the demo on 360 to be.. nothing short of terrible.
I've only got a 2900HD but that handled Crysis 1 on Medium with 2x aa but with Shaders turned down. Apparently Crysis 2 is more "efficient" with how it renders and processes textures so if you could play Crysis 1 you could play Crysis 2.

Thanks , gona donwload when i make some space in the HDD, actualy i have a HD2600 pro, and the demo of MP say my video car is not compatible

But 2900HD and 2600HD are "almost" the same VC, i'be running Crysis 1 with all in mediun settings and works perfect ( Some lvls with heavy fights fps drops from 30 to 13, but meh was able to play the 80% without problem )
2600 is about 20% less good than the 2900. And the 2900 is shit.
I have two 3870s in crossfire and it's shit. Don't bother with anything less.
I've been playing it, but it just can't 'get' me. I just find the missions really boring and linear... And the blur whenever you move is kinda getting annoying, I just don't feel the same as I did with Crysis 1.
I'll get it, probably on Steam, but not for a while as I'm pretty skint atm.
I beat it and I liked it. Now, someone fix the multiplayer please. Or is it only me having so laggy game on basically all of the servers?
Well, the game runs awesome in my crap pc

With all in HIGH on 1024x768 and 16x AF - With Shadows - no Blur - No MSAA
Runs in exteriors ( Streets, bridges etc etc ) within 19 and 29 fps and interiors ( Buildings, subways passages ) from 30 to 41 fps

For now i like the game, have a smallish rpg touch ( Nano catalyst to upgrade the suite ) still the IA is a bit dull, tent to get stuck in a infinite loop, the aliens are better in matter of IA, Textures are OK, Lighting on the game is OK, too much Bloom ( have to reduce it from 1.0 to 0.5 with the crysis2advancedconfigurator 1.7 )

WEll, double post but meh

Pro about the game

1 New weapons
2 Nice Graphics / effects / shadows / textures
3 The atmosphere in the Streets, they really looks good
4 the Exploration of the map/maps in search of the souvenirs/keycars/voicemails/dogtags (Make you explore every inch of the map ( And i love that ) )
5 The AI of the aliens in Super soldier dificult, They are really a challenge
6 The visual overall is fantastic

cons
1 Dull Ai ( soldiers ) tents to get stuck easily
2 No speed in the nano suit ( Just sprint )
3 The nanocatalyst ( Pain in the ass )
4 Alcatraz is gordon freeman in a nano suit... ( HE NEVER TALK )
5 Tactical visor i barely used 1 or 2 times... is pointless
6 Videos after each level... What happens with the cinematics with the game engine like crysis 1 ????....
7 each lvl is small compared to crysis 1
8 Oversatured Bloom on the whole game ( Till you use Crysis 2 Advance configurator and set the bloon to 0.5)


Final score 7/10

I enjoyed it, but the games is pointed to Xbox and Ps3 ( Console market ) and have a small felling of being playing CoD series...
I've also found that the game runs fine generally however the cutscenes are...like...watching..porn..on..d-d-d-d-d-d-dial up..ppp.pppp

Any one come across this issue before and got a work around?

The crackling sound, was with the same problem, the odd is when you go to the unlocks videos and you see each video there is no problem...
Is anyone here playing multiplayer? I friggin' hate the memory leak issue which destroys any fluence of the game even on GeForces 5xx ... I payed for half-based product...

The cutscenes at the start of each lvl ( That's are videos ) i hear a crackling sound throught the video

But when you go to the unlocks > videos and play the videos ( The videos at the start of each lvl ) there is no problem with the playback nor the sound

Started playing not long ago. I think the AI is pretty good. They rarely get up from behind cover, know the right time to use grenades, and startled me when they managed to encircle me at one point when i was dumb enough to find cover right smack dab in the middle of a intersection.

Only once did AI get stuck and it was a Ceph solider thingy. And the ai also tends to run right past you if you get close.

The Graphics dont bother me at all like the demo did which im guessing they fixed since then. During the demo, every 90 degree turn was a messy nauseous blur. Now it's hardly that and perfect. For some reason this feels like a FPS version of prototype, but thats good because i loved that game

Okay after i posted this, i began to play again sailing all the way to Spolier:The mission where you come out of a rather large building and see numerous giant ceph legs of some sort. I managed to fight halfway through underneath said legs before i took cover behind a pod and suddenly i got glitched underground and couldnt move. Then as soon as i'm able to move, 2 cephs come around the bend and blast me into oblivion. I was pissed that that BS, but what really got my blood boiling is how it loaded way back to the mission where you had to infiltrate the lab.
Something must have been wrong with your savegames?

After you infiltrate the lab and take down the COPTA, it crashes into the building and when after you've gotten into the APC it saves you game there. At least if you quit out and go back..
I fixed the issue. The saves were there, it's just that the game went and loaded the wrong checkpoints. Lots of scripting bugs (ran into the Corporate Collapse script bug where when you defeat the Pinger, the level dosent end. Only way to fix to by redoing the entire level -_-) where levels delay ending or dont end at all. More AI getting stuck and they are pretty remedial. I'd find myself sniping with the silencer from a decent distance and they dont seem to recognize they just got hit by a sniper bullet and continue to stand in place. What really made me chuckle is how i managed to sabotage the machines on the last level right next to and in front of the ceph cloaked, and they do nothing about it.

I also wished they had more cloaked ceph. Theres like a million encounters but i believe you only really fight them last level right before end. Makes cloak tracker pointless 16k buy.


Even on normal, the train station pinger is hellishly difficult to defeat. It ALWAYS seems to have it's front facing you. But the hardest part for me was the pavillion section of the last level where you start to meet your first ceph. Instinct is to stay up on that ledge and fire away on down, but if you do that, you'll waste that cache up there. Spent literally 15 minutes there alone playing cat and mouse because i ran out of decent ammo .

Well is easy against the cloaked ones, Use armor mode and a shotgun, they die in 2 or 3 hits max and the impact of the shotgun on the aline make hin iddle for 1 or 2 secconds without chance to fight back

The heavy ones, Cloack put c4 on hin, RUN LIKE THE WIND, fun
The patch 1.9 is released today, alongside with hi-res texture update and DX11 support, so this game should finally get PC look and modern technologies in it. Just pointing it out if anyone here is still playing it.

Unlike all those COD-like DLCs from EATek, these updates are going to be released for free as well as Sandbox 3 later in August, so we should FINALLY get rid of this crappy console first product and get a full PC support. Personally I am quite curious what will this DX9 and DX11 update look like.

The schedule says it's going to be released 27th of June so you should maybe give it a chance once more.

:jawdrop: That is.. the best thing. Just hope SSR won't make everything look like a mirror, kind of seems to be the case in that comparison.

Not sure if just these features make me want to buy anything over my Nvidia GTX260 though, which runs Crysis 2 just fine as it is.
