It should just work when you plug it in.
But if not i use the following:
https://inputmapper.com/downloads/category/2-input-mapper
It allows me to use PS4 controller over bluetooth and set up macros etc.

Issue With G25 Randomly Un Centering Itself?

Hi,

I'm having an issue with my G25. When i first plug it in, it does its usual spin all the way to calibrate itself. Then ill go on lfs(also does this with other games such as Dirt 3,Grid2) and its still dead center. Ill use it for a bit, and after maybe 10-30 minutes suddenly the centre of the wheel is no longer the centre of whatever im playing. Usually the wheel is about 45 degrees clockwise for me to drive straight.

Yesterday it was so bad that at one point, i could only turn my wheel about 60 degrees clockwise before it stopped turning, yet would still do a few revolutions counter clockwise.

If i unplug the steering wheel, plug it back in, let it calibrate itself and then select centre under axis in LFS then it works fine again, ends up doing it again after the same sort of time period.

Not sure what to try to fix this? Could it be my G25 profile settings? As i have no clue what they're supposed to be set to so sort of just left them alone.

Scary as hell, it all happens so quickly though. But its exactly how you can imagine it would feel, your strapped to a seat, as you roll you get slammed to each side of the car as the car rolls onto each side. Along with a sort of rollercoaster sort of effect to your stomache. You really tense up aswell, as most people do when they crash, my entire body was rock solid, just gripped onto the steering wheel as hard as i could and tried my best to not get chucked around the car too much.
To be fair it is actually quite fun putting aside the absolute trouser shitting that was done at the time.

Quote from Torolol :How many have you crashed and destroyed now? 5, 6? Glad it's only shitty looking golfs you have had, no sympathy needed for the cars

Are you still carrying this on? I thought we'd sorted things out.....

And 2, one before i even knew how to drive, and the other one that i rolled.

Haha!
I've actually had so much of that since getting this one

Slightly photoshopped, only difference from picture to irl is the rear tinted windows and the front numberplate missing.

The spdif connection is already used up. All I've got is coax and 6 channel aux

Quote from KiRmelius :You can use thermoshrink tube if the cable is going to be visible.

May possibly have to do that.

Quote from Shotglass :or you could do it properly and not transmit a low level single ended signal though a long wire

It's how my PC was wired previously, but after moving house my computer is now the other side of the room, rather then directly next to it.

Quote from Jakg :Surprisingly, these are quite difficult to find!

I'm guessing it's for a Z5500 or similar?

I bought 3x3.5mm cables off eBay (some fancy metal-ended ones)... they were too wide to be plugged in simultaneously (i.e. where you have 3 in a row, they were so wide that they blocked the neighbouring holes). Ended up modifying them with a dremel (not pretty) - but I'd still like to get the proper cables eventually if I can.

(I don't actually need longer ones, but I bought a second hand set of Z5500's and it didn't come with any)

Got it in one, for my Z5500, seems like it's going to be a bit of a mission to find. Looking on the back of the control pod i just realised theres a free coax port on it, might be easier to use that. But then im not sure if it will transmit 6 channels.

I can do but trying to find something with all 3 already joined. Looks a bit neater.

Does anybody know where i can buy a long triple aux lead cable? The kind you'd use to connect a sound card to a surround sound setup. Its literately 3 3.5mm connections on each end of the wire. Trying to find a long one (around 5 metres) but having no luck finding any of any size on ebay :/

Quote from Jakg :At work our product is sold pre-loaded onto PC's, which means in the corner we have an equal supply of PCs, monitors, keyboards and mice - easier to grab a whole bundle for testing.

I did try using 1 screen and swapping the inputs (dual input monitor) but it was a pain in the arse.

Keep the second monitor, keep the second pc, get the second mouse and keyboard and hide them. Then you still have an equal amount of everything in the corner.

Then buy this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aten-C ... 1&keywords=kvm+switch

This is what my boss has, there's a button which you can mount on your desk anywhere, press the button and it will switch to the second PC allowing you to use only one mouse and keyboard between two PC's.
I have the same sort of thing but an older KVM switch, i switch between PC's by press 'Scroll Lock' twice and then the up arrow.

Invest in a switch, trust me, if your planning on keeping the two PC's it makes life A LOT easier.

Quote from Jakg :Desk at work.

Now have 2 screens / 2 keyboards / 2 mice there as I've got another PC under the desk.

Why not just get a KVM switch?

1 keyboard, 1 mouse, 2 screens, 2 pc's
First PC has dual screens when i switch to it, but second PC only uses the right screen when i use it.

How about instead of people going off track and turning it into another iOS vs Android debate. Someone just answers his question?

Over here a second hand 4s 16GB goes for around £300, 352 euros apparently. So a 32GB 4s for 300 would be an absolute bargain.

but then again this is over here, pricing might be different there.

Quote from el pibe :holy shit son! glad you're ok!

I dont know. the car runs like it should, it is just that the gear does not engage. no matter what gear i put it in, it just revs freely like if i was pressing the clutch but i am not.

Cheers buddy.
Have you tried having someone randomly changing gear while you have the bonnet open? That way you can look at the gearbox and see if its even changing gears. If it's not changing gears then it must be the gear selector?

Quote from Tinytacohead :Bunny taste better than chicken.. mmm, BBQ bunny!

In all seriousness, glad you're Ok Migz. My 2nd MX-3/car, suffered a similar fate.. though due to gravel & and oddly random slide while moving straight @ 30mph. (still not sure what happened) Kicked the windshield out, had some friends help roll it back over, and drove it home though! Made for a great parts donor for my 3rd/current MX-3, haha.

Haha, thanks, i guess thats the bonus of getting the same car, you can always use parts on the new one

As i said, crashed twice since i passed my test. The fiat was before i had a license.

But yeah i agree, could easily blame flipping the car on something else but fact is i just hadn't paid attention to how wet the road was when i tried to avoid the rabbit.

Oh well, will learn from my mistakes.
