Some sick renders in this thread. Was just wondering where you are getting the car models from as I tried downloading them from the old thread but the link has expired.
Request - 42D Tweak

Hello, I was wondering if anybody had the 42D Tweak that was available on Team-Fortitude.net, Since the website is down the tweak is no longer available for download. Also their forum is down so it can't be downloaded from there. If anybody has the tweak could they kindly upload it. I'm sure the tweak was called something like New Order tweak 0.6B. Thanks, Tisy0
Low FPS in WIndowed Mode

Hello,

Recently I have been unable to play LFS in windowed mode.
In full screen mode it hits the limit at 100fps, and then as soon as I change to windowed mode I get no more than 30fps. I have up-to-date graphics drivers and I have tried messing around with every LFS setting there is and also tried messing around with the Nvidia Control Panel and I have had no positive results. It is also not a graphics card problem as I used to have this problem on my GTX 280 and I have no idea why.

Specs now -

Resolution - 1920 x 1080 = 42" LCD TV
Antec 1200
Intel Q6600
Nvidia 9600GT
6GB Memory

Any ideas would be appreciated.

In response to the question, I think there is life still left in LFS. Although yes it's mostly cruise servers that are populated. Although browsing through the server list there are still plenty of race servers for the 'cruise haters', everybody has a different view on the game.

To the people who are talking about how it takes around 2 weeks to perfect a car if you're a professional modeler. I've seen people create cars for LFS that are much higher quality compared to the models in LFS in a shorter period of time. A good example to use is the VW Scirocco, understandably there are not many people working on perfecting the car but does it really take that long to model one car? taking into consideration the other models that have been created by users. Also i'm sure that many people would voluntarily help to the progression of LFS to bring some more life into the game. I used to really enjoy playing the game in the past, but now I have found it slightly boring and it would be nice to have some new features/cars/tracks or anything for that matter.

Quote from GothaR_SVK :The new Ford Focus RS has the shift light
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHXibaU3t2o
But I still think that we don't need shift lights in road cars in LFS.

That's the old Focus RS

Shift Light's should be optional, Some like them and others don't, Personally it doen't bother me..

Most people take LFS Cruising too seriously, Who the hell wants to play a server that has so many restrictions you're completely limited to driving around. Seriously, Get a life!
That's the only reason I've started LC, I've had enough of playing on "Serious" LFS servers as they are the ones that make you bored of playing.
Thats why LC is different, it's not as serious as the other servers, LC is more of a fun cruising server, If you don't appreciate it, Don't go there. Also it would be appreciated not to flame the server with page after page of finding flaws with LC.
Don't like it?
Don't play there,
Just because you play there it doesn't automatically mean you're a noob.
I also played the old LC alot, To be honest I can't find many things better on the old one, rather than the new one, so seriously, different owners. wow?

Thanks,

All i'm saying is it could be a good idea, like yeah maybe a ? next to the >
I know a bit about setups but I still don't know all of it, and I don't want to be looking through wikipedia for all types of things, as some of them don't relate to how it will affect the car in LFS, only cars in real life, although LFS isn't far off, it isn't 100% Realistic, so I'm just sayng it would be good to know what you're actually doing to the car rather than fiddling with settings that will spoil it.
Explanation Of Setup

Hello, I think there should be an explanation when you hover over a certain setup option, for example, I hover my mouse over Camber and it gives me an explanation of what Camber is and how changing the slider will affect how the car handles in the game.

My heads been pounding with thoughts, but .
I don't think it was Fahr Simulator 2009, As i'm pretty sure it was in English, although I'm downloading it at the moment, I'll recognise the main screen if it was the same one, although I don't really know if it was a good game or not because as I said, I didn't have PhysX so I couldn't try it anyway if its not then ima give up on it.
Thanks for the help everybody! I'll post back when i've tried it

byte1 posted on another LFS Tweak post earlier today,
and he's acting like a cracker,
anyways all you've gotta do is open LFS Tune and LFS together, go to the pit in the XF-GTI and change the settings while in pits, click apply, and exit pits. Although if your a cracker, well shame on you and silly me for answering your question, Good Luck!
PS: Good post freddy, totally with you.

The real answer is No you can't,
I'm thinking byte1 is a cracker, so don't attempt cracking LFS if you don't want to get in trouble with the mods, just be glad your driving round in 3 good cars

Who are you kidding?, you havn't been here since 2000, LFS was only released on the 13th Of July, 2003. (correct me if im wrong?).
Although I suppose driving lessons would be ideal for beginners, but thats only if your an experienced driver, which by the looks of it.. your not.

Also, if you DO play LFS "all day everyday" I suggest you get some sort of a life.

IMO PhysX will not die, but who knows.

The game didn't really have anything in it where PhysX would be shown or anything so thats why it probably isnt on the list.

But damn I really can't remember the name

Driver would come into mind, but its a little more on the driving side, as in urban city driving etc.

Quote from Stefani24 :And I hope its working with an ati too.
Otherwise, this would ve made me wrong hopes.
(not your fault though)

It works with any card aslong as you've got a Nvidia PhysX Card.

I think you're getting the wrong ideas, my bad.

I mean like a game that you've got to stick to the Speed Limits, and you've gotta signal and shizm like that..
Driving Game PhysX [Found]
tisy0
S3 licensed
I remember before I had my new computer I had a driving game on there that used PhysX, I kept it on there because the computer I've got now has PhysX so I left it on my other computer so I could remember the name.
BUT, The hard drive on my old computer failed a week before I had this computer, And i've googled over 100+ Terms and I STILL cant find it.

Its a Driving Game, That Requires the Nvidia PhysX card, its like a town driving game, similar to 3D Driving School but with better graphics/physics etc.
Its one where you have to stick to the Speed Limits, and use your indicators where necessary.

Anybody have any ideas what its called?

Thanks,
Tisy0
