It's those kind of comments that are just hilarious to see. You get 300-500fps and your monitor refresh rate is what exactly? Plus, if you're getting 500fps then your graphics settings are incredibly low because I have a better spec than you and I don't get anywhere near 500fps...

I have it on full spec, 1440x900.

Obviously because of the refresh rate, it won't actually be 500FPS but on the FPS counter in the top left, it shows 300-500FPS.

I don't know, but do you have a Quad core CPU? Becuase if you do, then mine is better. Hardly any applications use all four cores.
i think you have AF off, and i think AA off too. plus, you've chosen really simple areas. i expected most screenshots to be from the drag circuit.

as a cake topping, you do not know what does 'ignorant' mean exactly.

i was about to say the same, those are easy cars and tracks, and no/less AA and AF

me too, i have a better system, but i havnt seen that much FPS, and i limit it, useless to have that much

edit: 300-400 FPS with FOX on AU4 @ 1920x1080 24Xaa and 24xaf =/

What's the point in boasting about rendering at such a huge framerate when you can't actually use it? Presumably you're limited to that low res by your monitor, but what AA/AF settings are you using?

I do, indeed, have a quad core CPU but I'm curious as to why you say if that's the case then you automatically have a better CPU? Care to substantiate that? A lot of applications don't make use of 4 cores, granted, but even in those that don't I believe my system will perform better than yours. I have a Q9450 @3.2GHz (400MHz * 8) and when you take into account that I have better components throughout my system than you do, I think it's pretty much beyond doubt. I often convert files from DVD to AVI and that conversion process does utilise all 4 cores to perform very well indeed.
I have LFS on both full AA, and full AF.

I was going to get a Q9450 as a matter of fact, but Benchmarks made me choose the E8500 instead.

What graphics do you have? I plan to upgrade to a 4870x2 at christmas.
The "ultimate" FPS test - back of a full grid of Ai FBM's at SO Chicane - you can't try to brag about your ePeen until you post the results.

EDIT - Please change your sig - you know full well why your banned from CTRA...
i get 40ish fps
but i am not sure vsync is off. there is no visual difference between 4xAA and 8xAA for me, so by going to 4xAA fps increases a lot
let's see cpu usage now
i don't get it
20 pro AIs,~50% cpu
2 pro AIs, ~40%

lol?
WTFunk?

Or do you have a dual core so LFS is just using totally one core?

(I take it your not that n00by)
have i given you the impression that i am that nooby?

besides, look about 10 posts up, i have my specs :P

Yep 280&4870 wasn't available by the time
And April is real buying month, May was just when that gallery opened.
w/ my 4850 and e8400 and 4 gigs of ram, i get 66fps (93fps when paused) 1280x1024 4xAA 16xAF.
This is from the back of the grid w/ 20 AI on SO Chicane. I had some programs running in the background, but I just wanted to see.
