Quote from Monkeymike :I'd go Vista 64 with that rig. Even on 4GB it's more stable and has better drivers than 32.

According to what i've heard, Vista 64 is infamous for bad driver support.

Well, lets wait and see what happens, if I have a nice experience with Vista 32, I'll probably end up formatting and installing 64.
Really? the only trouble i've heard of is with poor driver suppost is with oooooooooold hardware.
Actually its the opposite, Windows Hardware Quality Labs have to test any new release drivers before they are allowed to be installed on any specific Operating System (in this case, Vista). This prevents any mixups with drivers to create problems with hardware. Windows XP doesn't have this problem because WHQL support is disabled at default.
Driver Signing is only FORCED in Vista x64 - and even then you can still disable it on Boot-Up via F8.
As I said, I'm going off of what ive heard.

If you would've closer read my post, you would realise that I haven't tried Vista yet. That is why im contemplating 32 instead of 64.

i still have my 8800GTS 320MB Extreme Edition
not gonna swap it cause it can run everything atm

Quote from jonny__27 :What do you mean with that? I fail because i'm poor?

No you fail because your attempt at cooling with a large fan.
Quote from rc10racer :No you fail because your attempt at cooling with a large fan.

And what makes you think it doesn't work?

edit: and btw it's not what is larger, is what i only have.
Now that I actually have something worth posting:

Processor: Intel Q9450 @ 2.66
RAM: 4gb @ 800mhz (Samsung I believe)
Videocard: nVidia 8800gt
HDD: 640 gb sata + 3 externals totaling 1tb
Motherboard: nvidia NVK84CRB
Power Supply: 750w
Soundcard: integrated 7.1 i think
Case: dell xps 630
Speakers: basic dells
Headphones: $5 Jensen earbuds. sound fine, uncomfortable after an hour.
Monitor: dell 27" flatpanel 2709
Keyboard: you guessed it: dell

Everything is still at stock speeds for now. Maybe when I have more time to learn in detail about overclocking I'll give it a go. For now I really have no reason... 60fps solid @ SO6, back of the grid behind 19ai. 1280X1024, everything else maxed. rFactor gives me 250fps in some places, same with iRacing.

A little off topic, but when I search for this thread, even searching the title verbatim, it doesn't come up anywhere. Weird.
