Had an in-depth discussion about fluid mechanics?

I dont think he means you, ish.
Hey Jakg,

when you are in Friedrichshafen (Home of the Zeppelin, MTU and ZF) you will be about 20km south of my Home. Weather is driving mad here right now... Sun, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Sun, Rain and so on. So don´t expect to have good weather at the Lake of Constance (or Bodensee as it´s called here in Germany). And don´t expect to understand the Germans... even if you CAN speak German. Because you are entering the Spätzleland... we all speek Swabian here

Yup, I left Sunny England for the rainy Germany

WTF IS Swabian?!

I dunno, the evening was young and Jakg was away. Time to get spamming in his absence I say!

Swabian is a Dialect. Most people here in South Germany have a very strong Dialect. The best known (German) one in the World is maybe Bavarian

And I forgot in my last Post. Right at the Airport in Friedrichshafen there is a Outdoor Karting Track. I think it´s closed when it raines... although it could be serious Fun driving in the Wet

Thanks!

Seen the (soaking wet) Track while doing about 100 mph on the runway

If it's anything like my local track (Red Lodge, motto "Slick Racing Whatever The Weather!" ) racing in the wet will suck!

Although I like the fact I can drink German Beer here
Jak you're the worst forum addict I have ever seen I have to say.

I bet you couldn't last one whole week without posting, and only 2 days without looking on the forums.

y0!

Well, I've tried my German in a "Kebap" where the owner thought "drei" meant "2" ( - Jakg got no Kebab ) and I'm shocked at the at the amount of people that smoke, coming from a country where smoking is banned in public places, seeing a shop offering a go on a Hookah (or "jumped up vacuum cleaner" as my Dad so... Elegantly put it!), with 6 boys of all of 16 having a go is.., different. Quite surprised at the price of Cigarettes, I've seen a pack of 17 sell for €1.26 (!) and fancy Marlboro's for €3.00, whereas in the UK a pack is roughly £4! The "evil" part of me knows that the kids at my School would pay £6, £8, maybe even £10 for a pack costing half that!

Anyway, I know you may think I'm sad for telling a bunch of friends about my holiday, but when it's pissing it down there ain't much else to do!

Sounds like you are having FUN!

Stay off your pda, its not good for you!
Quote from jamesrowe :Sounds like you are having FUN!

Lol, I thought the same.

If you are in holidays and the only thing you write about is smoking then you maybe did something wrong.

Before you get something wrong and before you think germany is the promised land of smokahz:

For around €1,30 you can get these crappy filter-cigarillos. They are brown, ugly and lower taxed. Beside: They taste like dog shit (maybe)

For a packet of CAMEL PREMIUM FILTER (or Marlboro or something else) you have to pay €4 for 17-19 cigarettes.

Trust me. A Kebap (Booth, is this correct?) is not the place to test your German Skills. You should try Turkish instead or go to a Sausage / Hendl und Haxn Booth if you want to speak German to someone who understands you

And to the Smoking Part of your Post. Even in Germany they start to ban smoking in some Places. I am not 100% sure if the Law is effective but you may only smoke in Restaurants if they have a special, completely separated Room for Smokers. This is not a bad Idea at all. Nothing against Smokers. Everybody can ruin his Body whith whatever he wants. I have friends who smoke and they always ask or wait until the others around them have finished eating. But there are other People who sit beside you while you try to enjoy your tasty Schnitzel... but you can´t because it tastes like the Marlboro Man.

If you leave this Week... then you had just bad luck. Before you came to Germany it was really hot here (at least at Saturday). And if you leave at Friday... what should I say? We get 30 Degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.

If I would be evil I could say that you imported UK Weather to Germany
