Well i have no LED's so does that mean the power cable isn't working?

Is there anything i can do to make it work without sending it back?

You could pull it apart, if that's not going to void any warranty.

Try this, gives you a look at the internals

Im reluctant to do that mate. Do you think its the adapter that's the problem or the circuitbard in the wheel as i could try another adapter.

According to the guys T&C's i think i have to pay P&P to send the wheel back!

Who do you recommend sending it back with as Royal Mail means i have to walk down the town with a giant box.

My A/C input was always pretty dodgy and loose; I'd suggest that's more likely to be your problem

It certinly doesn't look like the original power cable and there attempt at a bodge job hasn't worked. Shame for a guy with so good feedback. I don't have long left on my warranty so they need to hurry up and tell me what they want me to do with it!

Plug the power supply into the wall socket and turn it on. does it get warm,
it maybe a faulty power supply.
No it doesn't. Would it still get warm when there's nothing attached to the end of it?
yes
sounds like its a faulty power supply.
Cheers for all your help lads i really do appreciete it. I'd buy you all a drink if i could lol!

I'm not a whizz on the technology front and with a bit of luck they will be able to send me a new power supply.

Once again thatnks for your help!

Even if there's no power on the wheel (no light is on) it should be recognised by the computer. Because the power is only for force feedback. I can use the wheel without connecting the power. I think you should really check the usb cable and connector.

Be patient and tell them to replace it with a proper one.
You are as unlucky as me m8.

Anyone with "wireless down" issue on X6 ?
I'm waiting for a reply now. It's strange though because my pc says it has found something (the eheel) but says it has had a malfunction. Then the wheel went mad and started moving all over the place.

SO this means the USB cable AND the power cable are not working!

what a joke
just in case. how to install.

1) do not plug the wheel into your pc befor the sofware.
2) install the logitech sofware.
and somewhere it will say plug in your wheel.
then your pc will recognise the wheel.
3) load LFS and go set some fast laps.
When i plug in the wheel, windows detects it as an unknowwn device and says it has had a malfunction. The logitech doesn't work at all

I don't think theres a problem with the USB. When i search for the wheel it says make sure that the Power LED is on so maybe it needs it on to install the wheel.
Could aMomo owner tell we what input and output there adaptor has?
well,

logitech AC adapter. model:adp-18lb c
input: ac200-240v 0,4A
output: 24V 0,75A

50-60 hz
did you try to install before you plug the wheel?
Trust me mate i have done evrything right. Speedykev has been great and tried installing his momo without the power and the pc detected it. It can't be my pc as the same happens on my mates laptop so i think i have come to the conclusion that the wheel is the broken thing.
Imo try to replace it.
Still no reply from them. It was a quick reply when i was asking about buying the product but it's a dfferant story when your sending it back. They say all products are tested before leaving. This one obviously hasn't. It costs £14 to send it back through parcelforce as well.

To me it seems that if the wheel starts moving all over the place at least the power supply is working. If Windows detects the wheel, but says it has had a malfunction, then I think the USB cable is working too.

And as for paying to send it back: someone can make a lot of statements and rules on a website, but that doesnt mean that it isnt against the law (dont know to say it any better in English). IMHO if you order something, and it arrives broken you can send it back at no charge.

there's a latin phrase which i think may have been of use to you... carpe nocturne...? oh shit, that's not it.

Unlucky man, read the fineprint
That's right. Those return terms might be against the law.
There must be an non-profit organization where you can get support for protecting buyer's rights. There is one even in where i live.
Let's get this clarified.

When i plug in te power adapter no light appears on the wheel althogh i tried just plugging in the adapter and it got slightly warm.

When i plug in the USB cable windows recognises it as an unknown device.

To send it back i;m going to have to pay about the same amount of money i paid to get the wheel and there's a good chance that could be faulty too!

Is there any way i can repair the wheel myself and what do i need to repair?

I'm going to give the tosser bad feedback
Did you contact logitech technical support? Contact them.
