Will a 600w PSU handle CF 6950s? 0.o

two high end graphic cards, two simultaneously running harddrives and a SSD might be a bit much for your PSU. I run a similar system (X2, one F1, one 9850) on 400W and thats quite risky already.
A slight update. Ditched the 5870 in favor of 2 560ti's in SLI and added another fan for pull and noise levels haven't changed much. Now runs 32 idle 55 load. Was concerned of over-loading my silverstone psu but borrowed a killawatt meter and measured system power usage to about 600 watts. So a 650W is borderline minimum for sli setups. FYI both cards are oced to 900/1800/1050 and temps are about 38 idle 60~ish on load.

Note: load tested with furmark and no crashes so all good and dandy .

EDIT: He is right about the minimum psu. 650 or above recommended

Did anyone else get a semi looking at those pictures just now?

Not really. I just didn't understand.

Eh.
You can't say that really.

Two GTX 550 Ti's would run perfectly fine on a quality 450W PSU for example, while four GTX 580's need 1350W+ PSU.

yes probably.. 2x 6950 = 400watts cpu is about 140watts.. only 60 watts left for hard drive, pcie cards, usb, fans/controller.
and idk how its rails are divided. so im probably not gonna risk it. i dont think this cooler master is capable of putting out 600 real watts for a long time.
im looking into a quality 750/850 watt.

(i have ran nvidia 7600GTX Sli fine on 500watts fine tho)

If you shit money - something based on SeaSonic's X-platform (for example, Corsair AX750/AX850)
If you don't - something based on any recent Great Wall's platform (for example, OCZ ZT 750W).

I was fapping to the motherboard actually. Me want.
Quote from Homeless_Drunk :Had this system for a month or so...started out mediocre but now its a speed daemon

Started out with an Athlon II X4 620 but I wanted more, so I went and picked up a Phenom II 1055T X6. I had a GTX260 but again, wanted more so I picked up a GTX480. Pretty pleased with this little box...and I do mean little, got it all crammed into a MicroATX case.

Corsair HX 750w PSU

Was time for another upgrade...changed a couple things...

Gigabyte GA-880GMA-USB3
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 3.36GHz
Kingston HyperX 16GB PC1600 DDR3
eVGA GTX480
Kingston HyperX 120GB SSD

Corsair HX 750w PSU

I must say that the SSD drive...I will not be going back to traditional hard drives after this...the performance improvement was worth every penny...haven't played many games other than BF3...but it took over a full minute off BF3 load times (yes, I timed it before and after to confirm)...amazing...

whats the asus thing under vga?
since when do soundcards have fans and 3 plugs?

it only LOOKS like a fan ;p
ahha ! that looks nice !
It doesn't sounds nice, tho (At least compared to ASUS Xonar Essence STX or it's closest competitor Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium HD). :3
(at least that's what theory says)
i have xfi titanium hd. it sounds great, but that asus looks hawt !
Quote from e2mustang :i have xfi titanium hd.

Same.

ASUS looks hawt, but I wouldn't take it over mine THD (unfunny pun intended)
Blah

Does anyone have a FX-8150 bulldozer in their configuration, with at least 8 (if possible 16) GB memory?

If you do, and you're willing to spare a few hours of your time to help me test something, please PM.

Core i5 2430M 2.4Ghz
6GB DDR3
640GB HDD
GeForce GT540M 1GB
14" 1366x768 screen

Loving it so far. Touchpad needed some time to get used to, since it has a shiny coating which tends to be sticky if you push it stronger, but other than that its a decent portable. I get around 5-6h battery life with wifi browsing.
Well since I fried my old PC, actually more like the fan fried it!
(the cpu fan died... I never noticed... Crazy temps... BSOD... fried cache... DEAD!)

Well my new one is built and waiting patiently on gfx card to arrive
(built on a tight budget so its not all top quality, but it will suffice for now)

Powercool Terminator Case
Asus M5A97 + Ace 650W
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T @ 3.2GHz stock cooler
Corsair Vengence DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) @ 1600MHz
Asus GeForce GTX560Ti DirectCUII
Hitachi Deskstar 500 GB SATA

Probably change the motherboard in the future when I decide to get another graphics card... But hopefully this will be at least good enough to run modern and upcoming games without a hitch for a while

Now I can sell my 360slim to fund myself for a new wheel
