lol honestly I haven't gotten addicted to it.

I slightly got addicted to playing Fortress Craft on xbox which you just build, kinda like minecraft but just building.

Thus far I've only been put in like 4 hours for the whole week, way less than I was expecting.

my laptop just struggles to play the damn java, O/Ced my graphics card all the way I can and still not much luck, have to go with 2nd to nearest fog on crappy graphics.. hate it

No that whole Oni camber scene.. ugh.. it's retarded. I still LOL at that video, I've seen it before but I love how you can see the stickers on the green mercede's tires!

Tire stretching is helpful according to drifters after experimentation. Which when you think about it makes sense. Stretching the tire basically .. destroys the purpose of the sidewall, which depending on the height of the tire is to allow the tire to scrub along the surface. Well, when you take that flexibility away it just rips it across the surface, as opposed to scrubbing and then ripping. Thus overall it just makes the tire more consistent in the way it handles for a drifter.

Granted 99% of everyone that extremely stretches their tires aren't drifters but, that's where it came from.

I will NOT be stretching tires this much, this is just disgusting

I will have to run about as much stretching as Kev did when he was running those wheels. Fortunately he could fit the rears in with the stock unadjustable camber arms, so I'll only be running about 1.5 or less degrees out of factory spec limits, and will have to roll my fenders.. far better than they are now lol, and maybe a slight pull in the front, some.. not much.

I doubt I will do this, it depends on what I want, but this is the front tire on the rear wheel, with a lot of stretch. He said he was rubbing on the rears with the rear tire on rear wheel. The rear tire probably had about a half inch difference in stretch width, so it had some, but that's because those are such low profile tires to begin with.

http://farm5.static.flickr.com ... 69470568_24bf56c46d_b.jpg

our cars aren't meant to handle such wide wheels at low offsets like cars like Zs and 240s and the entire vdub scene where they have so much damn space.. we have no space!

I know I want to go lower.. I just don't know what Kevin's BCs were set at, if he had all of his collars in then or not, I'll have to ask him.
If I were running like enkei RPF1s, I've seen a few guys run tire flush with some wide ass wheels, I think it would look right with my car with the flag on the back and stuff, dunno.

time and money.. time and money.. mostly money lol

All 4s are stretched some.
I may have to take the front tires and put them on the rear wheels which stretches it out a lot more.

I don't like the super stretch, I do like some stretch, but to make those wheels fit, they will have to stretch since they are 17x9s @ +35 I believe.
It's ... extremely unconventional to put such low offset wheels on the 3. But with some stretch and a little bit of camber they should fit.

not like some people's camber :/ YUCK

as much as everyone loves Shaw's speed 3, that camber in the back makes me hurl every time I see it.
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/5418/shavi.jpg

The front to me is fine.. doubling that in the rear... no.

it's just shit like this I want to throw something at someone

that's the point where "sporty" look goes out the window and there is no contact patch and it just straight up looks retarded

not mine....

yet.....

may have them some time in June?

haven't taken any pictures in a while and certainly haven't had any with wing off, this was just parked up at mountain house, nothing special.

and yes Jak, the wing is back on and stays on around town!
just when I know I'll be taking a long highway trip I'll take it off.

I remembered a friend on Mz3 forums had the same Weds, so my car will be sitting something like this when I get them.. if the guy contacts me back, no word from yesterday morning yet :/

Quote from Jakg :Get a heatsheild or something, that looks terrible.

Meh, better yet.. just give your car a wash

lol @ video going through tunnel.. I haven't heard a backfire in a long time since we sold our Ferrari Daytona, my friend's turboed 3 popped one day, loud as siiinnnnn; I KNOW it scared the old lady driving next to us haha!

Uhm yeah, diesels.. dunno, it's not a big market over here for them. A lot of older (by old I really just mean 80s) mercedes' are often diesels, but nowadays.. it's like diesel is another one of those don't ask don't tell kind of deals. There just aren't many out there.

We do have the fiat 500 though! Saw one drive by the other day I was kinda freaked out I looked in my mirrors and was like.. wtf a fiat?? in America??
Unfortunately I like the fiat 500, I think it's kind of cool looking, but $10 says it will be ruined and be burned at the steak in America, same way as all new muscle cars.. ahem, "muscle cars" have turned into girl cars.

oh speaking of

Guess I forgot about mercedes and bmw; mercedes looks like they have 3 diesel options in the US, probably.. 0 of which you can find at stealerships lol

BMW's website doesn't even mention if they are diesel or not, I'm assuming their twin turbos are the diesels, which even then.. I don't think I've ever come across a diesel BMW at a gas station before.

I love how both companies try to boast their gas mileage.. and majority of their models barely hit the mid 20mpg range.. this is why america uses so much fuel. (besides everything being far apart)
To many damn rich fat people driving heavy expensive cars with shitty gas mileage.

Oh hey, a diesel just drove by! .. the mail parcel truck :P

I will say, I got to see a Lotus Evora up at Road Atlanta the other day, didn't go for a ride (rode in a porsche 911 instead), but for as small of a car it is, I was surprised to see the gas mileage rating was 17 / 26 especially for a 2 seater, such a small car, and it weighing so .. much! The evora is heavy! I mean sure it's got a Toyota V6 in it, but over 3,000lbs for a 2 seater?!

Quote from S14 DRIFT :

Mr Nuse, put the wing back on or face banishment from this here parish.

bwhaha, once it gets fixed. I'm gonna get some good pictures with it off just.. to have some, right now it's being fixed though, the fixtures that hold the wing to the car via bolts are.. coming out

Quote from S14 DRIFT :I agree.

Would make a neglible difference (perhaps 1 or 2 MPG) and thus is not worth if. If you're worried about gas milage then buy a diesel.

LOL
1-2?
Try 8-12
(I've tested it already, yes it makes that much of a difference)

it takes 2 minutes to (un)install

Also in america.. there aren't really any diesels availabe; VW has a few, but really it's only trucks, I don't even think Volvo sells any new diesels anymore.

Junk pictures but whatever.
car is on a diet for summer

made the rear wing replaceable, running into some problems (since it's a reproduction and not an OEM so it's.. falling apart some, literally)
but hey.. running the highway going 60 with 40mpg is pretty damn nice.

And the wingless look is growing on me. From behind it's still odd, but the front I do like.

Quote from doyal :Looks good XCNuse, lose the standard wheels and mudflaps...

Mudflaps are rallyarmors; they aren't going anywhere, they keep my car super clean and I love them.
Wheels.. whenever those tires wear out, and I have money; which.. I don't ever know when that will be, for having the car for 2 years now the tires barely look worn in.

Still unsure of what wheels I'll be getting.

Racing seat however is the next thing I'm doing.

@Blueflame, those steelies look awesome lol, I love them. I want to run steelies... but the shear weight of them is a huge no no for me; I want something lighter than stock.

lol, majority of you guys want them off, alot of the car forum guys want them back; I'm still undecided, I just got some better pictures, I'll post later tonight or tomorrow.

There are just some angles they look nice without them again.

Crappy phone pictures don't do justice lol

It's been really hard to decide; I can't put them back on yet anyways since I don't have tape and the tape I pulled off just isn't very sticky anymore and somehow fully of junk (but they've been on there for over a year now!)

At some angles they look SUPER nice on the car, at some angles they look much better off.. it's really being difficult lol!

I just bought Shift onnnn.. Friday? I just got it recently, after adjusting the controls like mad I finally got it to control more realisticly and not flop all over the place.

It's pretty fun, the graphics to me is what is what makes this, and the good sounds. The physics aren't amazing by any means but for controlling it from a gamepad they are good enough for me.

The car vs car battles are unfair as fuuuuuuck; there are times I'm chasing the bot (i'm only on medium hardness too!) and they will take a turn going like 20mph faster than me and I'm already losing grip on front end.

I'm excited for Shift 2 though, looks extremely promising.

BIGGEST complaing about Shift 1 is the drift mode; it took me like .. 2 hours to figure out the controls; if the physics didn't change I would have no problem, but getting used to how the cars handle was an entire hurdle I wasn't fond of.

Got my license I think at 16, gonna be 23 this year.. god I've been around LFS for to long lol!

Never been pulled over, never an accident.. I wish I could drive with little to no music. I don't have a sound system and never plan on having one, but with everything I've done to my car now, it's so loud internally from motor mount vibrations to balance/vibration deletions and suspension noise.. car is just loud inside lol, I barely get to hear my exhaust anymore!

Nothing new going on with car, got it running fully synthetic oil now, and made some doors for my rear coilovers so I can adjust them on the go.

Oh, in other news though, I think I found some wheels I want to try and run.
It's certainly an old school taste, but I think it would be really nice.

Watanabe / Panasport / Minilite style wheels.
Also looking into some American racing mag style wheels.

It's a COMPLETELY unethical combo with my car, but I think it would be really nice.. and way different.
Unfortunately finding correct sizes and fitment is proving to be near impossible. Team 3 makes some wheels like that that you can make to whatever offset and dimensions you want practically, but the prices.. obviously are quite steep.

Quote from jibber :If it's just for looks, i'm sure there's aftermarket stuff already available? Or you could do your own design.

There isn't a single aftermarket diffuser that has been made for our cars; there is one for the mazdaspeed3, but it is ugly and just replaces parts.

As far as functionality goes.. it at least covers the gaping hole we call the underside of the bumper. I wouldn't be surprised by any means if it helped just some.

made the template but having a few tiny problems with it; just because A the template was made for putting a texture on it in a 3d program; not spread out perfectly into a 2d shape.

As you can see, there is something holding the outside part down, not sure what yet, but it clearly isn't lining up with the bumper either so either way it has to get redone. I just put it together and didn't have my car near me so I wasn't constantly checking it.

So for anyone that has made one.. have any tips or anything on how to go about making a mold for something like this?
