I have all of my games (all of them) installed on D:\Games (basically, root\Games). I think it's the best place to put it, so it won't have problems with UAC and, for me, it makes a nice division between Programs, User files and Games, which is why I have structured my files that way. All of my programs go to Program Files, user files goes to either windows users' folders or several other folders I've made on the HDD for that purpose, and games are only installed on the Games folder. Also, I've put my LFS in that folder already, but since it doesn't have a proper installer I've made my own structure of files with several versions of LFS inside the D:\Games\Live for Speed folder.
On Steam, "In-Game" means the person has paid for the game and is playing it on Steam. "In non-steam game" means the person has added the game to his shortcuts and may or may not have purchased it.
I think we can almost say everything is suffering with this "NEW ERA MODE".
For graphics, more contrast equals to better.
(First pic: CryEngine 3, a "better" and newer engine for consoles (or shall we say a lot less detailed and filled with contrast?). Second pic: original CryEngine 2 engine for PC (not so much contrast and much more realistic and detailed.))
To music, louder also means better. The more clipping you get, the better.
I have the full game and.... well... was it supposed to be scary? If so, then it's a big fail. If it's supposed to show some kind of torture to the characters, then it's win. Graphics are good, it uses physx, and generally speaking it's is a very good game. However, it's not scary. At all. And I'm one of the most scared people in the world lol.
Though I'm stuck in a part where I have to figure out how to disable some bombs... I just couldn't figure it out and stopped playing. Might get back into it later.
I realy liked it, all of my best moments of GTA SA online were playing samp, it was awesome and I made plenty of friends there, even hosted a server 24hr a day (it was a famous brasilian rpg server) with somd great scripts... good times
I don't, actually I didn't acknowledge of this list (I used to use another one, which I stopped using right after Opera 10 release), but I will probably use it if I feel a need for it someday (now that you mentioned it), thank you.
Well I don't have have any problems with ads, that's because I basically just don't notice any of them unless they totally change the page I'm looking at and redirect it to somewhere else.
Well, I still need to get around to beating FEAR.
I'm often so scared I start getting pissed off with myself, and yet, I just don't advance in the game, fearing "WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT".
Have you played Penumbra (the series, starting with Black Plague)? I find it kind of scary too, gameplay is really very cool, and it may get very scary in some parts specially when I have no idea where to run or what to do.
I love fearing something. I love suspense and horror movies and games. Sometimes I prefer movies, because I can't stop them and everything just happens while I'm watching. The scariest, the better.
But well, about games... in fact I'm way too scared to actually advance some parts of some games, and when I'm too scared I usually stop in corner with my back to the wall and wait until something happens (1st person shooters). If I'm too scared and nothing happens, I save the game (with a suggestive save name, such as "too scared to continue_6") and close it to continue later.
But I don't find Left 4 Dead scary. Not really. It's very cool, very fun, a lot of action going on all the time and amazing graphics, plus awesome online modes. That's why I like it. I don't really find it "oh, so scary I can't continue!". I can freely advance all maps in L4D with no fear problems at all.
You don't need Firefox, I could block any kind of ads on Opera if I wanted to. But they are what make browsing some websites fun, and they're often ironic as well (see example above).
And I totally dislike Firefox. I have already tried it and it definitely doesn't suit my needs and likings.
I can't understand why some people want to mod them and change these lights to something else? To me, they look perfect as they are. And I'm sorry but I didn't like at all the changes SouvlakiTheBest did to them.
New XR rims are perfect. Period.
I'd like to thank all devs because the changes are amazing. I haven't found any bugs yet and the new list of hosts system is awesome. It took me 7 seconds to refresh all 167 racing servers up-to-date with UDP connection. It used to take a lot longer than that
Oh, by the way... I hope you don't mind me saying it, but... I think racing cars (by that I mean UFR, XFR and all GTR) maybe shouldn't have a license plate?
Well, it would be possible, but it would be a poor and quick implementation of a safety car that would also only work in multiplayer, without any other AI cars on track, and would be of no use in singleplayer, because the other AI would just pass by the safety car crashing and keep racing if a proper code weren't implemented. And the way we know Scawen is perfectionist, he wouldn't do such thing.
Scawen, everything works perfectly in my Z20 install.
The new car panels are awesome.
The Shift + U bug is fixed for me, and I don't have any problems with Shift + F4 or clicking on buttons (everything works fine).

[OFF-TOPIC - Shift Up indicator] Well in my opinion one doesn't really need to know the "exact" point to change gear... Just hear the sound of the car and change gear when you feel it's the right timing, and it should be more than enough. I for one never waited for the shift up indicator when it was still present in the game and I also didn't notice any significant performance difference between changing when the red light appeared or before that... Also, I feel much better now that the shift up indicator is gone.
When the "other people who are totally new in the game" purchase a car (and thus, become "totally new to the car"), it will most likely not have a shift up indicator, they will just need to live with that and it won't be difficult for them to take the hand of their car, so it shouldn't be hard on a simulator too. Actually I think it's very easy to change gears without a shift up indicator. But that is my opinion, just as you mentioned yours.[/OFF-TOPIC]
4shared is the best free hosting website in my opinion. I usually have very small waiting time (10 seconds or less, depending on the file), it allows multiple downloads, has no download limits or download speed limits and doesn't ask you to write ridiculous captcha codes before downloading. Megaupload usually makes me wait 60 seconds, has download and download speed limits and doesn't allow multiple downloads at the same time, uses captcha. Rapidshare makes me wait 80 seconds, uses captcha and has download and download speed limits, and it doesn't allow multiple downloads or download accelerators either. Easy-share is the worst of them all: when you try to make your first download, great, just write down the captcha, wait some seconds and download it normally. But when you try to make your second download in the day, it makes you wait 500 seconds. It pisses me off.
It seems as I don't even need to say anything, because you guys have said it all
It's also cheaper for me, and sometimes I use Steam Friends to chat more frequently than Windows Live Messenger...
Well, you can already do that in LFS with replays... but you need to open the replays from the LFS folder, not ingame. Then it opens up the game and adds the replay files to the jumplist, and you can choose them from the jumplists.
