Quote from THE WIZARD DK :you get 3 new unlocks every friday.

No, you don't.

Quote from http://www.lfs.net/?page=agreement :

You will initially be able to unlock LFS S2 or later versions 3 times. This allows you to unlock on two computers and keep one spare unlock.

3.3
We recognise that people may buy a new computer or reinstall their operating system from time to time. For this reason, we will automatically give you an extra spare unlock once a week (every friday morning), up to a maximum of having 2 spare unlocks available. The number of unlocks you have left can be found on your status page.

Isn't the maximum 1024x?

However iirc, it does compress the skin if the file size is larger than the allowed 400 kB.

It may not be funneh, but at least you might find something useful. *scroll away*

That not a bug; its just the way it is.

If X don't want to give out his/her setup then he should refrain from giving out his car to others.

If this was to be ammended - as in LFS blocking sending of setups when you have taken over a car, it might cause issues in some league races where you have to send your setup to the organises for scruitiny.

These kind of mods aren't allowed here.

And why would you need FXO interiors for anyway?

Yeah, people suck.

But don't write off MP just because of that. When you do run in to the right crowd of people the LFS' MP experience is pretty damn fun.

Probably why you still see people coming back for a taste of LFS after half a dozen years.

LFS MP on public servers is pretty bad, but it can be rewarding once you learn to avoid, dodge, anticipate and laugh off all the idiots!

Get online (after you get a feel for the cars/tracks) and enjoy.

Hope to run in to you on track!

Hi, welcome!

If you press the "n" key, you can see the list of names (connection box) of the connected players.

By clicking SS next to their name in the list, you can send your current setup.

They will see a message in the chat history saying "x has sent his/her setup".

When someone has sent their setup the "ss" in the connection box changes to a green "s". Click on it; then you will be promted to name the file so that it can be saved.

The file will be accessible when you go to the garage sceen and select the relevant car, and the select the newly saved setup from the list.

Hope that explanation wasn't too complicated!

Where have you been all this time? Welcome back!

Developments using LFS InSim had given rise to the "cruise" servers. There was a time (even now?) where a majority of licensed *ahem* "racers" online were actually on cruise servers.

LFS might have been a dedicated "race simulation" but those who love to cruise are (like it or not) are a significant part of the community. So yeah, they're around the forums too, coming up with ideas to improve the sim that we all love.

Better accept that we're all part of LFS.

I was looking for this: http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Game_modes#Hotlapping

Mostly to get people involved in hotlapping and fighting for rankings in LFS hotlap charts.

  • Decent reputation
  • Driven over 30000 miles (50000 km approx.) online
  • Finished more than 1000 races
  • Uploaded at hotlap to LFSW which should be within 107% of WR
  • Active player (if you've played a lot in 2005 and haven't touched since, you might not stand a chance)

Pls.

2007. My flatmate's classmate was having a go on LFS during a lesson which got my flatmate hooked. He came home, downloaded LFS, showed me what it was all about and the rest is history.

Played on his laptop the the first time; drove out of pits in BL1 in the XFG (using kb, mind you), past turns 2/3 and by the time I was braking down the long straight I knew this is what I was waiting for all these years...

Keyboard to Logitech Momo to G25 to G27. 130,000+ Miles and still loving LFS.

Met hundreds (if not 1000s) of great people online over the years and had countless hours of fun.

Hallelujah for the devs/lfs-ers!

From the LFS Manual;

Quote :Meeting room: When you click the meeting room button a chat window will be displayed above the serverlist. This allows you to meet other racers and arrange races or just chat a bit. Like in IRC there are a few commands you can use:

/find [username] – will show if the user is online at the moment just like the 'Find User' button.

/users – will show how many users are online at the moment.
/hosts – will show how many hosts are online at the moment.
/me [text] – displays an action of yourself.
/leave – closes the chat just like the 'Leave' button.
/help – shows a list of all chat commands.
/demo - shows old and new demo servers.

I've used it and I think it should be there (as opposed to the feature being removed).

For it to be recognised in the game screen it should be read in your operating system first (Windows?).

What you could try is to reinstall drivers for the MOMO and see if it helps.

You can download the drivers from the Logitech site.

(try the following link and go to downloads; I'm not sure, but you could probably find the drivers for your wheel by selecting your operating system and some other essential details. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/game-gear/320?)
