As The Very End mentioned, keep an eye out. You will be sent a PM on LFSForum (not to your e-mail) if you have been selected for a license voucher code.
Hello, there are third party mods which, as you've mentioned, sort of replace the bodyshape of the "original" LFS cars. Some of these mods have been noted for being buggy during gameplay. There is some suspicion that the downloadable content (which can be downloaded from numerous websites) contains malicious software. So be wary.
As far as I know, discussion of this topic is not allowed and the LFS's developers do not support this kind of mods.
If by time you mean your lap times - you would stand a chance if it was very close to the world record (WR) lap times. But please note that these times have to be set in LFS' Hotlap mode and uploaded to LFSWorld...
If by "you" [above] you meant me:
That user didn't get a voucher through this competition (at least not through me). He might have bought it on his own or by some other means...
Hi, did you calibrate the wheel properly at install?
Sounds like you might have set handbrake to axis. In Options > Controls > Wheel/Joystick - set Handbrake to "button". Set throttle/brake axes to "seperate" as BMXtwins pointed out.
There are LFS users who are not active on LFS Forums (compared to those who check back hourly, daily, weekly and monthly). They might have bought/played LFS a while back and haven't played for a few years... They're likely to come back to the forums and inquire about elusive VWS, RO and S3. Probably not the best thing to bite their heads off about not being up-to-date about LFS' progression.
Of course then theres the occational troll who will start a similar topic simply to stir up a sh!tstorm.
As you can read above, TVE's sponsoring a number of vouchers - so get dedicated demo/S1 racers to sign up to the forum and make a post in this thread to win a voucher!
Thankfully, other sponsors have shown an interest, so there might be more vouchers to be won!
Mikki, its not doubled - its just that in the first post the milage is stated in miles (not kilometers). Your current LFSW online driven distance stands at 29687 miles. But don't worry - before vouchers are sent out again the driven distance will be updated and recent online activity will be checked by myself.
xGabrielx - thank you for your interest.
Sadly my sponsor(s) are very quiet - so no vouchers for a while, I'm afraid.
Low res car skins (default settings) will download other players skins at 512x512 (even if you've uploaded at 1024x1024).
Hi-res car skin downloads are a premium option which is charged at £1 for each 2000 skins that you download. For hi-res skin downloads to work you need to have a positive balance on your LFS account.
Click on LFS' Options > Misc > Car skins download > 1024 for more info.
Its probably due to the server outage as mentioned above. For some peace of mind - check out the online activity for your account; were you the one connecting to all these servers? Or do you think your account as been compromised?
