I believe this thread used to be a source of entertainment for a lot of LFSers. Sadly, I doubt its the case anymore.
Few people (mind you, those few might be the one that post alot in this and similar thread) are ruining it for the majority (I hope!) who find dolan and simliar "funnies" rather distasteful.

Mind you Airio is a third-party software that server owners are using on their servers. It can be used for a whole load of stuff to help them manage the server and drivers to track their stats etc.
With respect to the Classes that are in use - in a way, its the server owner's setting up their servers in a way that new (usually less-skilled) drivers are restricted to use relatively faster cars (to avoid chaos on track).
Its not a restriction put in by LFS developers...

If X don't want to give out his/her setup then he should refrain from giving out his car to others.
If this was to be ammended - as in LFS blocking sending of setups when you have taken over a car, it might cause issues in some league races where you have to send your setup to the organises for scruitiny.

But don't write off MP just because of that. When you do run in to the right crowd of people the LFS' MP experience is pretty damn fun.
Probably why you still see people coming back for a taste of LFS after half a dozen years.
LFS MP on public servers is pretty bad, but it can be rewarding once you learn to avoid, dodge, anticipate and laugh off all the idiots!
Get online (after you get a feel for the cars/tracks) and enjoy.
