Have you tried asking at master skinnerz, i'm sure you'll find one or 2 guys interested there, plus you've got the added bonus of being able to have a look at their labs/garages/... (portfolio)

Liking the orange, kinda looks like an S.

Maybe use the S for a fictional sponsor. I'd also finish the shapes either side (in dark grey) to look like the orange "S".

I use Master skinnerz skin kits
I've just started uploading skins to LFS Skins Database
And i use Bogey Jammer's Ready to render kit.

So its a sort of plug and a thanks to them!!!

thats wierd, master skinnerz kits are .psd files! should be fine. you must be doing something wrong. Download-unzip-open! thats all! then save as .jpg! Download the cmx viewer for your previews. save and preview your skin to line it up.
UPLOADING to LFSworld.
Master skinnerz kits are 2048x2048 so you need to save your 2048 skin and keep it in your skins folder but then you need to resize a copy of your skin to 1024 go to LFSworld and upload your skin! This way you will see your 2048 skin and others will see your uploaded 1024 skin!
