..well if you look up recipes for beer you'll see that it's always about 4-5kg of malt on 20liters of water for one brewing.
Well yes, it was quite a dark beer, but it was really tasty and about as strong as the stuff we usually guzzle from bottles...
But if you like drinking beer, you have to brew your own beer!
I once did it with two mates. We went to the local brewery 'Andreas Brauerei' in my hometown (when it still existed), we asked nicely and they gave us 5kg of malt (we had to grind it ourselves...), half a liter of their yeast and 3 handfull of hops.
Then we chose a (fairly simple) recipe of a top-fermented beer. After hours of cooking, filtering, mashing and all the other steps that were necessary. We learned that making beer wasn't as easy as putting everything into a bucket and stir...
Well, from the point of getting the ingredients to the first sip it took about 2 weeks. And we started with 20liters of malt-mash abd ended up with 5liters of fine tasting beer for each of the three of us... (sorry for not knowing all the brewery terms in English)
...another thing about the coverage, which I liked a lot, was that instead of telling people which driver had what different coloured (tiny) mirrors to identify them, it would have been a lot easier to press 'n' every now and then.
If you like 'Kenny vs. Spenny' then you might like 'Testees'
The series is written by Kenny Hotz and has aired 6 Episodes so far. It's a weird kind of humor not everyone will like,
done quite amateurish but it's one new series for me to follow. (just downloading yesterdays episode s01e06 :tilt
Here's a little cut spoiler from episode#1, I had to laugh so hard...
Only watch it, if you've seen the episode and want to laugh again,
or it will ruin the fun of episode#1 for you otherwise!!!
Very nice of you, but you won't see me there for the next two weeks I guess.
I got a new job finally!! Starting on monday! And I'm so happy to tell someone that I don't have time for anything after sitting at home for almost a year now... cheers!
...and people please don't post your oversized bmp's ! Please resize before uploading them or at least post them as gif (if they're the black crayon on white paper kind)
Thanks! Normally I don't like games that force you to register just to have a look at it. But ok, I registered, went online and had a go. It felt quite alright. I like that is has a snooker option. I'll probably give it another try.
...but again, that evening in carom was just so wrong! I watched that guy playing with his monster queue, my chin being nailed to the floor... I kept telling him in the chat how ridiculously silly his queue looked before I facepalmed myself and quit the game via taskmanager...
I've only played 'virtual pool hall' so far, as it's one of the few serious billard simulations imho
I downloaded carom3d, got to play some 50-100 non-online practice games. I really liked it. So I trained more, so I wouldn't make a complete ass of myself when going online for the first time I thought... And then I went online... I clicked some random 'training' server, picked a game and then I had an opponent with a queue with a giant metal skull and 15 pounds of metall iron gadgets around the end of his queue!!!! - I mean, come on!!! I just didn't believe it... That is just silly!!
I am disappointed of carom3d...
since the physics are quite accurate and the gui is really intuitive... (from what you get in the non-online game experience)
