This is a game I've been looking forward to for ages. Basically a LOMAC total conversion with a few engine tweaks, it has a similar philosophy to LFS of 'total realism, and sod anyone it alienates'

Russian release date is apparently 17th October, with the english one a few weeks later once it's all finished being translated.

Have a look at the detail they're putting into the systems modelling:

I saw this a while ago, and it looks great... but will anything ever match the dynamic campaigns of Razorworks' Enemy Engaged?
Perversely, one of my favourite touches of Enemy Engaged was the fact that when it rained, you had to turn the window wipers on

But yes, I doubt the campaigns in BS will be anywhere near as good. It's the game my TrackIR was made for though...
Soooo... Finally a game in what normal human can't control the helicopters.

Haha xD

But seriously, that's the nicest game choppper I have ever seen :O
It's chopper right, or is that used when telling about riced bikes?

Both, for the helicopter due to its rotor's ''chopping'' qualities?
I could see myself getting this! Looks awesome, and if the game updates are anything like the visuals then it'll get rid of the irritating stuff that made me stop playing LOMAC after a day and a bit.

What stuff in particular?

I reinstalled LOMAC FC 2 days ago and cant tear myself away from it. I forgot just how great it is.

Black shark looks great
I never bothered with Flaming Cliffs. The original LOMAC release was so full of bugs, shortcuts and bodges that it completely and utterly failed to impress me at all. It also ran like a bag of nails on decent hardware. I went back to X-Plane and IL-2, which although not perfect do at least do what they say on the tin! LOMAC didn't (for me).
I swear the Russians are making some of the best games these days. IL2, STALKER, Black Shark. Any others?
I can't wait for this - looks like a fantastic improvement over Flaming Cliffs! Eagle Dynamics put such a great deal of effort into flight modelling, and that's what I like to see

It's a conspiracy, it's just a start, later they will manufacture mind controll games that will turn the entire world into zombies.

Well, last time I drink this early at day!
I was considering this game, but then I heard they removed the auto-blip and auto-cut assists from the tank.

:ices_rofl
I just hope the helicopters' tyre models are sufficiently advanced
Holy mother of

That looks sexy.
Is it online?
LFS of flight sims
Tried a good few jet sims, starting with F19 and falcon 3.0 up to the modern versions, but for me personally nothing beats the more organic feel of an underpowered airframe with guns slapped on and a crosshair in front of u.
Comparable to driving a older car as opposed to a modern one with digital servo, ABS, ESP, and 50 other buttons u could press.
Nevertheless, i'll probably buy it once it's released and userreviews are positive about the flightmodel and amount of bugs.

I am more eager for the IL2 successor namely "Storm of War : Battle of Britain"
Coincidentally also developed under 1C's wing , they might even share resources?

Q&A thread

Some interesting things such as fully modeled ground vehicles with accurate suspension, controllable AAA-stations (and possibly even vehicles and ships), installations need all their parts to function (fe. a radar needs it's dish ,control center and power station..destroy one part and it's out of operation) , and quotes like the below one really peak my interest. =)

"Weathering of the aircraft in time. When you enter a career you’ll get the new aircraft (or partially used). Then with each flight your aircraft will be in constant changes of conditions… you will see in a sequence of missions. It isn’t only about how it looks, but also about performance of aircraft (new and used – are different)."

The problem with LOMAC is that it's so realistic that you have to have full military training on the aircraft in order to play properly.

Far too many controller commands for my poor head to handle.

Still a fantastic series of games though, I have the original LOMAC, but ill stick to iL2 for now, all you have to do for that is point your gunsight at an Me109 and fire the guns .

X-Plane is a bit of a joke, runways that have 1 in 4 metre gradients!!!
Very excited about this, been waiting for a decent combat helo sim since Gunship 2000 on the Amiga . I love Flamming cliffs and LockOn

You'll be able to play BS in "arcade mode", not that Id know why you would want to , I'm looking forward to 10 minute helo startup procedures wooohoo
It looks like here are some people that have a genuine interest in combat flight-sims that require a bit (LOTSA) of learning instead of point'n'shoot.
I'm surprised noone even mentioned Falcon 4.0, obviously with one of the three mods...the original was bugged as hell.
