Yes I'm sure for that. Didn't you see 'iam first!' comments everywhere?
You may don't care about status or number of posts. But I think we all will care about flood of stupid spam.

So I'm for poll to disable postcounter too.

Quote from Madman_CZ :Now I couldn't care less what status I have on this forum as it means peanuts to me and i am sure to others too.

No, there will be even more spamers. Now they have only numbers.
If they could achevie 'master racer' 'smart guy' or smth status they will spam like hell!

Well, actually I can't just fly over the text and know what's going on. It takes some time to read and understand in english for me.

So just to save my time I looked at some posts of Jack and decided to add him to ignore list
Besides, I won't do it with Tristan, in case of quality, shortness & informative nature.

WOW! 200 laps on demo server?

oh wait, I understand... lol, if admin don't know what is practise mode for, there is possibility that he was left-clicking 200 times to achieve that

No

Too bad I must do it as one alien in this case... anyone can do some tests with his car?

All I can do is video footage, but not soon.

edit:
I forgot about this. When you have low pressure in one tyre you can clearly feel it just in normal cruising or braking. Car goes to left or right. It's because that one tyre is slowing down in one side hardly enough to change direction of car. In LFS all four tyres may have 3 times less pressure and it will not slow you any little bit. I think now you know why I'm shouting all the time.

So I still prefer to go 220km/h than 200km/h

Bob I can see with my eyes that in LFS difference is very, very little. I would prefer to see differences from real car.

I also would like the possibility to define your own default camera positions.

You can play with custom view settings. Every car may have own setting.

Well, I don't see any difference really . Sometimes, if I look at G-force meter there is diff by 0,01 (!) G, but only for 0,5 second. Notice that this is difference between minimun and maximum pressure, which is pretty wide in LFS.

Easiest way to see the difference is taking own car and feel it by own body.

Even in this shitty program 'Vroom vroom', where they're tuning astra to achieve better drag time, BIGGEST difference gave them pumping tyres. Not sporty exhaust, not alu rims, not sporty filter.

Please put theory away and try it by yourself IR.

I'm here in the name of Superb Acceleration with High Pressure!

Can you give some examples with telemetry included?

It's due to physics and I tested it personaly. There is no way to achevie better acceleration with 1,5 bar vs 3,0 bar, if grip problems are excluded (eg: higher speeds or low powered car).

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :If you warm the tires by doing a brakestand, they start to smoke long before the indicator begins to show an optimal temperature (green). This means that inside the sim, the portion of the tread in actual contact with the road is a "red" temperature, hot enough to smoke even if the indicator only shows that it's approaching "green".

I'm not sure for that. Smoke is there very quickly, but there is no difference in grip due to the 'red' invisible temp of the 'top' of the tyre. While doing brakestand, we can somehow see grip changes looking on rpm tacho. It drops a little rpm at green temps, and then rising up on red temps.

But there is one more thing I can't explain. After that brake stand, when you step on the brake pedal, tyre is gaining another 1-3 degrees of heat from 'nothing'!
So you can be wright. It can be that invisible hotter treat.

Quote from frokki :What's the main reason why unrealistically low or high tyre pressures actually work in LFS?

With flatened tyres you have same acceleration as guy with tyres pumped to 3bars

Quote from mpn89 :An interesting thing about tyre temps is that LFS perhaps always displays the average reading or "pit reading" - not peaks, or it doesn't simulate peak temps? IRL tyre temps vary greatly while on track from and can go from 150 degrees f to 370 degrees f within seconds during a turn. Valkenburgh had some figures of tyres cooling at 50 degrees fahrenheit per second down high-speed straights from their peak temps after the corner. This is why you see tyres "shine" in corners and then go dull again on straights.

According to this, if tyres in LFS doesn't cool down on the straight by 40C*, they don't heat-up in corners as much, as they should. Otherwise, they would pop-up after few corners by gaining 20-40C on each.

Funny that nobody tried it after claiming that mixing AI's is possible, because it is not
There is no difference what AI skill is selected before adding them. Only matter which selection is before clicking 'START' and then every AI has the same skill.

Put one newbie and one pro on track (make sure that both have 'AI first time'). After some laps exit the program and look into knw folder, both of the new AI files are the same skill.
eg:

SO1_AI1_LX4_NEWBIE.knw
SO1_AI2_LX4_NEWBIE.knw

Maybe two users have same looking names, but with different letters, like large 'i' and small 'L'
Then, they decided to connect into same server in same second.

lama / Iama in some fonts will look similar.

But who believe in my theory? Even not me

I've tried to simulate typical ingame view IR and it looks even slower then in LFS (~100km/h)
As Vain said, type of car can change sense of speed dramaticaly. Once I was trying to go a little faster, road was so bumpy and side wind so strong that I was moving from left to right for 1-2m and gived up at 150 km/h. It was to fast. Another day, we were traveling in friends Volvo S60 and drinking beer at the back sit. When I looked up at the dashboard I said to a driver to slow down. My friend just said 'chill out man', and then he looked there too: 'OMFG 210?! slow down!" Oh, and try to reach 115km/h in Fiat 126p, you will feel like astronaut while reaching atmosphere Or buy a Maybach and TRY to feel any speed
Another thing are hard-as-steel setups wich in road cars can't give any feel that you are driving at the limit, especially on 30m wide race track

How do you spell that 'jajajajajajajajaja' thing?
When I imagine it in spelling 'yayayayaya' [us] or 'jajajajajaja' [de], I see dwarf bastard which is jumping around you and screaming 'jajajaajajaja!', and one think you want to do, is through him from that huge bridge in south France

Too bad I like cats. They have something mystical in themselves.

I don't think keeping a cat all time home is good idea. It's not their nature. Most cats can go for a trip but they are comimng back if you are good for them.
There is always a risk of being killed by car, but SHOOTED? omg...

Some racecars have even two rev limiters. One for launching at greenlight (eg. 4krpm) and second 'normal'.
Don't racecars have revlimiter rather close to peak power rpm? They are mechanicaly tuned for race, with peak power as high as possible. Reving engine another 3krpms higher (like in LFS now) is very risky.
