- if the server is on insim relay, something like lfs spectator but in your clean way of gui (spectator seems no longer developed and it has ugly gui with unreadable font)
Quick track menu screen> leave it as it is now, because it is universal for as many tracks as you want (if there will be say 100 tracks, scrollbar appears).
Imo config names are stored in track file itself, so it isnt easy to show config names in quick menu screen -> this suggestion will require something like function to read track header with configs without any track loading
I have DFP and it is correctly reported as DFP with second line "Steering wheel", when I plug in my joystick I'm using as shifter, LFS reports text "2 controllers detected".
When I plug in _only_ my joystick, it is reported with its name and there is second line "Steering wheel".
Everyone goes to control settings first I thing. They will be more disappointed if they change zoom by first button touch, coz 90% noobs dont know what fov is and what default value was.
My setting is too complicated for newbies, it isnt good idea to make default DFP setting from mine
I have quite different settings for buttons. My suggestion is assing only axes and gear changes to paddles, every week someone ask me how to do it (axes), but other buttons better leave empty for everyones own choice.
I only had to change clutch from axis to button, as DFP dont have 3 pedals.
Options for each player/gearbox type (AutoClutch, GCCut, GCBlip) are great.

About views in U11: I suggested 4 hardcoded but in fact I dont like "fol" view at all, is any chance to have all view listed with checkbox allowing this view in V-key cycle? I mean, if I dont check fol view, it wont be in V-key cycling view and I can access it only thru /view=fol
And what about /view=custom if there was 5 custom views? I suggest allow /view={name of my view here} so I can access specific view thru Fkeys bind or external progs.
Please execute automatically batch depending on the type of car first and batch depending on the car loaded after. Id like to have these .txt files in separate (?batch?) data folder, I dont like mess in root thx
I dont think calling batch in the batch will be possible, user could make infinite loop calling sequential batch in fox and fox in sequential..
FOX is one batch, SEQUENTIAL another batch
you could put only /key and /axis etc commands in both..
I dont know what would be better, whether make LFS call automatically batch by selected car or depending on the type of car. Maybe both, depending on the type of car first and then if .control file for car exist this file too. This way you could have only 3 .control files but still ability to make specific control for selected car.
I think main collision problem is that car can "develop" much greater impact forces now than its actual amount of energy is. Orion said something about overlap when colliding, but it could be checked if amount of energy calculated by overlap dont exceed amount of energy calculated from impact vectors/weights/speeds. I mean, if 2 cars crash at an angle of 5 deg and both with similar speed, microlag can generate overlap and "orbit" forces, but there could be a peace of code calculating max. forces from last known vectors and dont allow exceed this.
Im not game developer, maybe its not so easy..

No, this is racing sim, not icq.. You have (ctrl)F1-F8 for messages like "sorry" and no other typing is desirable during racing.
A had problems with disabled FF while typing in last versions when I turn too much without it. But best solution is not to type during driving
2sgt.flippy: agreed. but now, reset is here and there is problem with people reseting car when someone is near and causing crash. this would be easy solution. imo its better than X seconds delay.
2mabyenot: reset is for situations you are on roof or side and its against playability in endu races if you must end if damage is minor. puting car magically to the right direction is bug, I agree, but putting car to the same direction as it was on roof, why not..
Im for no reset option on HC servers too.
EDIT: Scawen as usual. But I dont know if its good learn people crash car without paying and reset in front of other car.. If someone dont know how to stay on tarmac, he should stay in single player and not going online and ruining races.
What about allow reset car only if no other player see yellow flag from reseting car to avoid reseting car "jumping" into racing line in front of another car and ruining his race.
I mean, if some other car is near, reset wont work and you must wait.

But view is used not only for driving Im using the same or very similar fov for all cars when driving, but very different fov for bumper views in replays.

I hope whole system of views will be redesigned. I imagine views the same as setups. One view (default drive view) hardcoded, but changable as now (cant be deleted) and "Add view" button (similar as hard track setup and Add setup button). You could add views with options you want (including own fov) and create all view as you have now, but you could create as many views as you want (separate for each car, as setups) and cycle them by V key. Each car "remember" its default view (maybe checkbox "default view" instead of last used view).
IMO tweaking custom view for driving isnt right way. Head movements in custom view arent the same as camera movement.. Better way is to do seat adjustments for driver view and leave custom views for "external cameras".

I agree with dEiCidE, contextual menus will be much better than loads of buttons.
EDIT: when you order server list by ply for examle, appl forget this after filter change or refresh. I got error 00549239 / 00000024, afterwards JPEG-Fehler #42 when alt-tab to other appl.
