You can hold down the button for your gear-change (or paddle with my wheel) which keeps it in neutral until you let go. Sometimes handy down the straights, as pointed out above, when running low on fuel

As far as I know, there isn't one definitive colour for British Racing Green. Throughout it's history it has appeared in several shades.

When the list of names is shown, hold Ctrl+Shift to display account names instead of display names. This applies to S1 and S2 licenced servers only, of course.

Hmm, not sure.
I know that when you create a new player they start on 0 points (so you can swap between people on the same installation, saving preferences for each). Maybe you have created/used a different player instead of the usual one?

Someone was asking about changing the colour of the back plate from yellow, since not all countries have yellow like UK. Choosing your country could change the colour of your plates (front and back), and also a little national flag at the left end, which seems to be the trend on lots of new road cars.
