I work for the Local Authority here and i've been around the wosrt hit areas helping and doing our bit. Evesham is like a war zone around Waterside. Funny how people have short memories when they say this is a once in a lifetime event. I was doing this after the floods of Easter 1998, they were only 150mm (ish) lower than this......

I live in a village about 8 miles away from Evesham and Pershore in Worcestershire and we are totally cut off because of flood water!!!
Thankfully we are not actually flooded just cut off.

My wife is currently stranded in Tewkesbury. There is no chance of her getting home today either due to the huge floods between there and home.

I know there are other drivers who live in this area and wondered how they were doing.

There is another village close by (about 4 miles) called Sedgeberrow and thet have had to be airlifted out of their homes by the Air Sea Rescue helicopters.

I'm a big fan of the Tour, but all this doping talk is killing the sport. We have Paul Sherwin and Phill Liggett as commentators for ITV in the UK, and they keep going on about how FAST the average speed is going up. It makes you wonder how year in year out they can keep on maintaining these speeds without some sort of enhancing drugs.

I know these guys are at the top of their sport and that they train all year BUT you cant help but wonder sometimes......

The other strange thing is Bjarne Riis (sp?) admitting taking EPO. He is now trying to tell us his team are the cleanest because they are posting all their test results on the internet for us all to see.!!!!

Lance Armstrong was allegedly one of the most dope tested athletes ever and nothing was found, is he super fit or did he have some very clever people in his team.

The discussion about this will drag on for as long as cycling exists as a sport.

Not sure how you would make it work tho, but the idea of holding the handbrake on, clutch at optimum biting point, revs up would be interesting!!

Jakg, just been on your bumperz server in the XFR and you in the UFR, how much faster do you think you could go with the ballast you had?

Since reading this thread. i've had a go with my ai around westhill. For the first 20-30 laps all was well. The worst bit was braking before and straight after the 1st chicane. Anyway we've moved on from that stage now and they all (mixed class from uf1000-fz5) drive around quite quickly. I've now reached the stage were the drivers of the GTT and LX's can go through the 1st chicane very well, but now instead of easing off they keep the power full on and drift onto the straight before the bridge. Whilst it shows good drifting skills it burns up the rear tyres and after a few laps they spin and crash!!!! Now they get nowhere near their fastest laps they did whilst they were learning.........CRAZY FOOLS!! I was also surprised at how well the LX4 ai could drive around compared to the FZ5 and RAC!!

I got rumbled doing this. I used the windows OEM cd from another machine and put it on mine, everything was ok till windows wanted to be activated, so i put in the correct number which was refused, ended up having to ring microsoft for a license number. As soon as i mentioned OEM i was questioned as to the make and model of the pc. Like a DIV i gave him the deatils of my machine instead of the previous one. DOH!! I was very politely told off for trying this on. So no number to activate windows!! To save the bother i went out and bought a full version!!

EDIT but upgrading should and will be fine

Therein lies my biggest problem, I'm not artistic at all. Its a miracle i've got this far!! I don't have the artistic flair to know how to move a plain skin to a great skin........

Just looked at Tonix's skin and that is leagues away from where i'm at!!
Those extra swirls look really effective, but I would never have thought of doing that.

First attempt at a difficult skin.
I've just about managed to line up everything but the back ends are plain ATM, not sure what it needs.

going to try again soon, what i should have done last night was join another server to see if the lag was apparent there.

we were on at about 7.30 ish but we meet up every wednesday evening and this never happened before........
