Quote from thisnameistaken :You all suck (except Niki).

I've obviously got Firefox, and it's my default browser. I'm installing other, more retarded browsers for testing purposes. I have no choice but to install them.

Actually, switching IE7 to be the default browser stops the "IE7 opens all links in Firefox" bug from happening and instead throws me a completely meaningless error message and a new instance of what appears to be IE7 but completely crippled and useless.

I also think IE7 perhaps isn't actually starting when I start IE7 - I think it's IE6, which then opens the broken IE7 window in response to requests.

Oh dear...

Now I understand...

Are you testing to see which browser is 'the most retarded'?

I suppose that man speaks truth too.

I'm not gonna get into another BTCC vs everything else slanging match, happened enough already, and I'm fairly sick of it.

I'm quite passionate about BTCC, followed it and been to races every year since i was 8 years old, and loved every single meeting i've been to from start to finish.

I'd love to see you do any better

When F1 has racing like this then I'll watch it again:

At least BTCC drivers overtake and put on a spectical, rather than follow each other in a procession.

Quote from Dru :just send a txt m8.

If i manage to top up my tomorrow phone I will do. Or catch you on MSN beforehand.

I'm going to tell my dad to change to BT sooner or later, Pipex used to be really good with no problems, but the advert with the Hoff sent them waaaaaaay downhill!

I might have to pull out of this.

Had crazy connection problems tonight between 8.30pm and 11pm. Nomatter what I did (reconnected 8 times) wouldn't fix it.

I hate my ISP and their bloody packet shaping.

I'll see how it is tomorrow.

Quote from DEVIL 007 :I would remove the CPU cooler, clean it,apply new thermal paste and it should be much better.

Also whats you current Thermaltake case. The one I posted above has planty coolers included so the airflow should be definately fine but ofcourse the decision its up to you.

It's one of the older ones. X something I think. I've done all the Heatsink/fan/thermal paste stuff, first thing I did. Probably processor on it's way out, but it's been doing it for 2 years.

Quote from Niels Heusinkveld :Here is a better deal,

Antec SLK3000B (boring, but neat, front and rear 120mm fan

but!! this leaves you with cash for a Scythe Ninja heatsink. That will cut noise and temperatures in half.

That is what I'd do!

Edit: assuming your system is AMD64 or P4 / Core duo type, the heatsink won't fit on old socket A Athlon xp systems..

my system is a Socket A Athlon XP3200+

A new case = first step to a new system. Which will be complete when I can afford it (probably about 1 year from now)

Quote from FOGlegsy :http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ ... mp;catid=7&subcat=160

a friend of mine got this at the weekend, if you want extreme cooling without water look no futher than this baby,

It has one Huuuuge fan on the top, one infront of the HD bays one above that and one at the rear, It really is a fine case and i will be getting one very very soon!

All the fans have a speed switch (but there inside the case),

A little over my budget, but looks worth it. Looks the part too. I may well have to invest a little more!

Keep recommendations coming, go on, make my decision as tricky as possible

Quote from DEVIL 007 :
Why you need temp CD.It never read the temps correctly.
I mean ists never close to the real value.

Because right now my computer runs at around 60C when it's idle. The temp reader I have now reads within 1-2C of what my BIOS tells me, so it's accurate enough for me.

Thanks for the link though, I saw this case but I'm slightly put off with it being a Thermaltake because of the overheating/airflow problems i have in my existing Thermaltake case.

I love BTCC for its edge of the seat action.

I know some people say it's bangers. But all controversial moves are looked at closely by the stewards afterwards and suitable punishments are handed out, despite what some people might think.

This season there hasn't really been anything that would say it's a 'banger' series. It's been nothing short of amazing! Any accidents that have happened have been caused by racing incidents.

Also if you think about it logically, the racing is going to be closer and there's going be more contact because the British circuits are nothing like what the WTCC visit. British tracks are very narrow compared to the World Circuits.

However, if anyone saw Thruxton last time out where 5 or 6 cars were going side by side at 140mph upto the last chicane, and no one hit anyone/fell off, that made my jaw drop.

I'm going to Croft for this weekends races and really looking forward to it.

Apart from BTCC, I quite like to watch the WRC, as vain said, something about going down twisty gravel stages at silly speeds is a great thing to watch!

I have the GSA-H22L which reads CDs fine - it's just read 100+ music CDs to rip them onto my computer no problem anyway.

So I can only assume that it's a faulty drive.

I currently have a Thermaltake (i think) case and I'm looking into getting a new case for my PC within the next few weeks for 2 reasons:
1. Cooling in the current case is non-existant
2. Not enough HDD bays

I'm looking to spend up to £50, it must be a full ATX case with at least 2 CD bays and 5 HDD bays, I'd also like (if possible for the price) to have a processor temp monitor and 2x USB2 ports on the front of it.

I've seen some Jeantech cases in PC World which look alright, but I'd like to know some recommendations from you guys before I buy.

I have a Microsoft wireless mouse, it uses 2 AA batteries which i have to change once every 3 or so months. Very good mouse, very comfortable too!

I also have the Microsoft wireless keyboard which works flawlessly aswell and batteries last 4 months, never had signal problems and I have 2 mobile phones and bluetooth connection coming from one of them on constantly transmitting to my computer (when needed), wireless router next to my computer and none of these interrupt the signal in any way.

The only time it has done all I had to do was press the button under my mouse and it worked fine since.

So all I can say, if you want a wireless mouse/keyboard, buy a Microsoft one.
